• Cannot remove boxes/lines on the placed PDF (v1.7) files

  I have a bunch of PDF files placed in InDesign, but some boxes/lines (see attached). After a search, it's to do with transparency and PDFX-1A, which does not support transparency (v1.3?).

  So I opened one of the PDF files and it has exported to Acrobat 10, then re-imported in InDesign, but can't get rid of the lines either by:

  -Export in png directly from InDesign

  -Copy and paste from InDesign in Photoshop

  PDF files are grouped into a new portfolio layout (with effects) so I need the InDesign layout and can just use the PDFs. BTW, these boxes/lines do not appear in Acrobat, again only when place in InDesign.

  Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

  Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

  Unfortunately, it's too much work entering all archived tasks, re-Binder and then re-export of all PDF files.

  But I just find a workaround by the export of images from Acrobat, then re - import into InDesign layouts.

  I have to make an important presentation in Keynote in a hurry.  With the graphics created in Keynote.  My first grrrr: I opened a text box.  It has a default text with a drop shadow.  Nothing in the selections of 'Style' Inspector allows me to get rid of the shadow cast by default.

  Add text boxes and change the text formatting without shadoww

  AdobePDF.dll is in the file Data1.cab. Mine is located in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Acrobat8\Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional\ You need to extract the file "AdobePDF.dll_64" from the .cab file. You can do this with WinZip or 7-Zip. Everything you need to extract is this file, nothing else... Once you have extracted it, remove the _64, so the name of the file is AdobePDF.dll. Then place the file in any location you want and run the program it when asked. For a file location, I suggest to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Acrobat8\
