I reinstall windows xp & he said that if I continue, I'm not able to connect to windows. I accidentally hit continue and now I can't log on. Help, please. What should I do now? Lynn B.
Hi Lynn B,.
· What is the exact error message?
· What type of installation you perform? Is this an upgrade or fresh on-site installation?
· What service pack is installed on your computer?
· You have the Windows installation disc?
You can consult the following Microsoft articles:
Install, reinstall, or uninstall Windows
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/help/install-reinstall-uninstall
How to perform an upgrade on the spot (reinstallation) of Windows XP

I have two hard drives of 3TO. They worked very well (only reading 2 TB but my motherboard does not support UEFI or everything that is necessary to read all 2 3, but whatever, is good enough, until I update). Question is, I went and formatted a 1 TB HARD drive, installed windows Vista and they showed the same partitions, 2 TB, all data, etc., but as soon as I have upgraded to Windows 7 once again, it will not read them. No material changed and the BIOS is the same. Only thing that has changed is what SATA 2 port they are plugged on my MOBO SATA controller. I also tried to use a partition program to see if he could see them, but it wont. My see BIOS of them still very well. I have the Asus P6T7 MOBO and green caviar 3 TB hard drives, thanks for any help.
OK then... I installed all drivers related even by far with the readers... nothing
I swapped SATA ports autour and... nothing, or so it seemed to me
Finally, I swapped one of them in port 1 and it worked, but it is not
so I swapped ports 1 and 2 and they both work... it seems that there is some sort of requirement for large-format readers be the front-line AND consecutive
I don't know why this is, but that is how it is

I was exploring the information about "move your files and user files to another partition" I'm a little short on space. I chose the location tab in my Contacts Properties window to have a look at the possibilities of some of my folders move to another partition on my computer. However, I clicked obviously wrong, and now I got a message that the file MSOE. DLL could not be initialized. I tried the system restore, but no restore points are available to me before today. Are there jobs that I can do?
Under your username must be a Contacts folder. If there is a step, and then either move the new Contacts folder to where he was, or create a new folder under the user name, and then see if it works then. So if you have a username of 'Heather' contacts should be under C:\Users\Heather\Contacts. Try and then see if it works very well. Otherwise, you will need to create a new user and then try to get this to work.

Original title: Windowscodecs.dll missing
IM using a windows machine 7 and one day, he said that the DWM.exe could start not due the windowscodecs.dll file is missing.
I don't have to go back, any system restore points
I ran the/scannow sf in command prompt and it says that the file is corrupted.
I tried to put the machine in safe mode,
I tried troubleshooting and software update
and I tried to download external software to replace the file.
It also affects the Aero theme, so my background is just a black screen!
What else can I try that actually work?
Why we just know it is a virtual machine? Well...
Have you looked on your system here to check that the file is actually missing (of course that mine has been replaced):
I downloaded a file called on my OneDrive:
64bitcodecs.dll (64-bit version)
The link to my a drive is:
https://onedrive.live.com/?ID=EC673DF6F8DFEE84%212368&CID=EC673DF6F8DFEE84
You must visit my OneDrive, upload this file to a place, you can find, rename it to WindowsCodecs.dll and then copy and paste in your c:\windows\system32 folder (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive).
When you have done so, check again with Explorer that the file is really there (if it was missing before) and if everything looks good, reboot your system and see what things look like.

Hello, as I said in my title, I reformatted my IDE HDD and reinstalled Windows XP Pro SP3, and before that it loads, s it just shows a BSOD screen without me being able to read. Anyone know the problem?
Microsoft? Why always SP3 Gets the problem? -__-
Did disable the auto reboot not to reveal information of BSOD?
On your SkyDrive, you must click on share, change permissions and adjust the slider upward, so that we can him.
In fact, you have an XP with SP3 installation CD? It's kind of a miracle here.
Where did you buy that and when you bought it (just curious).
I'd take a peek here first:

and then here (too much info really):

Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.
You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive. These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load. If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.
When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:
Press any key to boot from CD...
Installing Windows... going to pronounce.
Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.
Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)
You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).
You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS. It's the same as the
C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.
The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.
For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

After Encrypting files, I had to reinstall my windows and now I can not decrypt the file
* O.T. > encrypted files
So after encryption of files I had to reinstall my windows (changed the name of the owner) and now I can not decrypt the file
After attempting to decrypt the files, I'm promped with this message:
Attribute application error
An error occurred applying attributes to the file:
driveletter\filename
Access is denied. \
I want to say that I added my administrator name in the Security tab, and then gave me full control over the files, but that did not work.
Hello
I understand that you cannot decrypt files previously encrypted in Windows 7 after you have reinstalled Windows.
- What program did you use to encrypt the files?
From now on, I would ask you to refer to similar questions discussed in the thread below links and check the status.
Cannot decrypt previously encrypted files
I'm unable to decrypt files encrypted after reformatting the hard drive.
Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

Check your account indicates the subscriptions that you expect (and that the adobe, used in the next step id is correct) by logging in here and checking the status of your subscription, https://www.adobe.com/account.html
then, if it's current, disconnect and then back to your client application using the adobe with the link above in cc id: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/sign-in-out-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html
