I reinstalled Windows XP Professional SP3 and also formatted my HDD (IDE), but before it displays the loading screen, it shows a BSOD disappear but before I can read it. What is the problem?
Hello, as I said in my title, I reformatted my IDE HDD and reinstalled Windows XP Pro SP3, and before that it loads, s it just shows a BSOD screen without me being able to read. Anyone know the problem?
Microsoft? Why always SP3 Gets the problem? -__-
Did disable the auto reboot not to reveal information of BSOD?
On your SkyDrive, you must click on share, change permissions and adjust the slider upward, so that we can him.
In fact, you have an XP with SP3 installation CD? It's kind of a miracle here.
Where did you buy that and when you bought it (just curious).
I'd take a peek here first:
http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/document?LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&DocName=c01457284
and then here (too much info really):
If you need help, enter the XP Recovery Console, just ask.
Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.
You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive. These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load. If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.
When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:
Press any key to boot from CD...
Installing Windows... going to pronounce.
Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.
Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)
You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).
You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS. It's the same as the
C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.
The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.
For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

You must get other advice. I said nothing about "clean boot". If you want to try a clean boot, see:

If she does disk check every time you start and this was compounded, I doubt this will help.If it's sleep mode, then you wake up usually mode standby by pressing the power button momentarily. If you want to wake you up by moving the mouse, you may be able to choose a screen saver that turns off your monitor but not your computer. "Night light" is a semi stop and controlled by the power settings in the control panel.

Hello
Recently I bought Windows 7 Professional upgrade because of the student discount, I had about it, not realizing it was only an upgrade. I do not have an earlier version of windows, and so now I have a copy of UN activated Windows. My question is can I buy an old vista or XP and just plug this code? It is said the upgrade works from previous versions and because I already bought the upgrade I look forward to having to buy a brand to the copy of windows 7, if I buy xp or vista. Thanks for your help.-BillHowever, the requirements for the media upgrade is that you have an operating system already eligible such as Windows XP or Vista installed to use it. Since the Windows 7 end user license agreement.
15 UPDATES. To use upgrade software, you must first be licensed for the software that is eligible for the upgrade. After the upgrade, this agreement takes the place of the agreement for the software that you upgraded. After upgrade, you can no longer use the software that you upgraded.
So, if you are always denied, you will just have to reinstall Windows XP or Vista and let it do the verification of eligibility.
Note: You will not have to activate the previous license, just install.
Option 2:
Call the Activation Center and explain your situation.
Skip entering your product key Windows 7 and complete the installation.
When you reach the desktop, click Start, right-click on computer
Click on properties
Scroll down to the Windows Activation
Click the link x days before activation.
Click on the link that says: "show me other ways to activate.
Enter the product key
Click next
Select the Activation of the phone
Click Next when you enter your key page
Select your country
Click Next, call the number listed
Be sure to explain your situation to the Appeals Officer.
Provide the installation generated when ID requested by the call agent
They give a confirmation ID in return, enter it
Click next to complete the activation.

Brand new Windows XP Professional SP3 key does not
I fell right on my old CD-ROM Windows XP Professional SP1 and my new key SP3. I installed XP on my old Compaq ProSignia 165 to make it work again, and when it prompted me to insert the key, I tried my SP3 key. It didn't work as I thought, so I used the key out of my Dell OptiPlex 170 L to install because I still use it a lot. Then I threw SP3 on it and downloaded the Microsoft program change key and tried. It does not accept it, nor any of my other XP Pro key. Everything except my netbook works Pro, so what is happening here? I have to do in the registry or what? I'm starting to get fact TIC TACS in this thing, because it does not appear WHAT I put on it. Please help me, because I'm starting to lose here.

Download Windows XP Professional SP3 update installers?
I have an old computer running Windows XP Professional SP, and he needs an Ethernet card. Unfortunately, I don't have enough money to buy one for her. Is it possible that I can download all the updates that are released for it and put them on a drive flash or something to install? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello
Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community Forums.
According to the description, it seems that you are having problems with the installation of the updates you don't have ethernet card.
For the installation of Windows, the computer updates must be connected to the Windows Update server to search for updates. Unless you're connected to the Internet, you can not connect to the Windows Update server. Then I suggest that you use the media of Internet connection to check the updates, and install the updates.
I hope it helps. If you have any questions about Windows in the future, please let us know. We will be happy to help you.

Windows XP Professional SP3 installation diskettes
I restore my old computer, and I need floppy disks to install Windows XP Professional SP3 to do this, because my old computer will start only from a floppy or hard drive. Can I use diskettes of Windows XP Professional SP2, or do I floppy disks for Windows XP Professional SP3. If I need Windows XP Professional SP3 diskettes, where can I get their (answer with a link if I need them). Thank you!
You realize that the diskettes 'setup' will not install any version of Windows XP, but only allow you to start the installation process which must end with an authentic Windows XP installation CD?
The disks are only for the limited, rare, cases in which you have a CD player and a Windows installation CD, but for some reason that your computer does not start on the CD. Y at - it an update of the BIOS available that will allow your computer to boot from a CD?
As far as I KNOW, he is there no version of Service Pack 3 of these disks. If you have an installation CD for Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3, try the SP2 game.
