I removed everything between two separators of Firefox and now cannot place anything between them; How can I bookmark it?
After a hard disk crash I reinstall Firefox (without saving). I moved "Recent Tags" between the default separators above the bookmarks Menu box and find, I now can't put anything in the space when the "Show all bookmarks" box is open. Given that space exists, how can I make this functional space by putting something here?
"Show your bookmarks" drop gift list shows some default you can't delete entries (menus) and other elements that are located in the Menu folder bookmarks.
You can check if you have a splitter directly in the upper part of the Menu folder bookmarks by selecting this folder in the left pane of the Manager of bookmarks (library).

my computer is tellking me I have two firewalls running adding that they can / will conflict with each other. This will slow down the speed of my computer and if so, how do I close one as you can tell I'm learning but too useful? gurus with own ideas thanks bob
Hello
Having a firewall protects your computer can cause problems system, slow, etc., such that there is a conflict between them.
This normally happens if you have an Internet Security Suite, which includes its own firewall, protecting your computer and have Windows Firewall enabled, too.
What Antivirus program you have installed?
And what program give you this advice?
And you are using a 3rd party Firerwall?
Zone Alarm is an example of a 3rd party firewall.
You can disable the firewall of a Suite Internet security within this program.
Here's how to disable the Windows Firewall:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-off
But before you let do us know what Antivirus you are using to ensure that you receive a message authentic on this firewall problem.
And you must also have an antivirus installed for the same reasons.
See you soon.

I've just updated my Firefox browser to version 41.0.2 on a Windows 8.1 environment and many pages I visit now display the text you entered. How can I fix it? In my research, I came across an article that suggested to install an add-on that allows a CSS custom script to run, forcing Firefox to change any instance of Helvetica to Arial. However, this article was written three years earlier, and the add-on is no longer available. Any suggestions for someone who is not so tech savvy? ... Thank you!
Could you give an example where you see this problem? For example, we had similar reports on:
- Left the site of Mozilla Add-ons, themes section column
- NewEgg.com left column (menu)
If that's the problem, it's Helvetica Neue. You can use this combination, installation in the following order:
(1) elegant extension, which makes it easy to apply the style changes to webpages and Firefox user interface:
https://addons.Mozilla.org/firefox/addon/stylish/
(2) the user of "Kill Helvetica" style (which actually only swap Arial for Helvetica Neue):

In the last two weeks, whenever I run Firefox, a grandeur nature pop-under ad is also launched, regardless of which site I am browsing.
The original ad was for a survey on You Tube and contains a link to coupondropdown.com, where there is a menu option for uninstalling. The uninstall instructions don't make sense, they do not mention what ad - control ads, and I can't work out what is responsible for the ads of my very basic range of ad - ons.
The reason why I write, it is that ads increased by annoying but harmless, dangerous. The announcement today was conceived as a pop-up warning text says, ' detection: immediate Action required.» Fatal error in registry... click on 'Repair All' to eliminate all possible threats and clean your PC". I have screenshots of all the foregoing.
I'm worried that another user, my son or mother, might take this warning seriously and install malware by accident. What can I do to prevent these ads? I expect this type of advertising malware on dubious websites, I get them when I try to access Hotmail, news, etc., so it is not the site that is originally.
Sometimes a problem with Firefox can be a result of malware installed on your computer, you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to search for malicious software that work with your existing anti-virus software:
- Microsoft safety scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP, if you do not already have one.

I saved a few emails hotmail as pages in Firefox and now cannot open them - how can I do this?
I tried everything suggested on your bulletin board but can not open these emails (saved pages). All data seems to be there, but the pages won't just reconfigure.
Right click on the html file, and then select open in Firefox. However, if it is a dynamic page you would use a staging server on your local computer to open interactive web pages.
Depending on the format of the mail file you can open it in the default Word Pad as well.

I'm on an hp pavilion dv7, running windows 7. I need to solve this problem as soon as POSSIBLE. Or I'll have to switch browsers, I don't want to do, as I have used Firefox for many years. Can I get help to remedy the situation?
Hello, normally these problems are caused by a security/firewall software which does not recognize and therefore blocks the new versions of firefox: solve connection problems to websites after Firefox update

Scrapbook is more visible to me and click Open. When I watch my modules, scrapbook is visible and I have an option to remove. Therefore here... but I can't. Where should I look?
Hello
Please try pressing Alt. This would temporarily allow the menu bar. You can also try to activate the Add-on bar via View (Alt + V) > toolbars or right-clicking the + after the last tab. And click Customize... to drag and drop Scrapbook icon to the toolbar.

Each of my email accounts was on a separate tab, so I could look at them all together, I managed to change the layout so that now I have to use 'Go', 'file' etc. I would like the old traced back but cannot find a way to change the menu.
I don't know about the separate tabs. Maybe you're talking about the pane of folders down the left margin of the main window.
In the menu bar select view-presentation-folder pane

Update of Firefox, and now all of the web pages and icons are inflated. How do I put back it as it was?
Hello
Firefox on Windows is now after display, scaling options that can make the biggest text on screens at high resolution.
You can adjust the resolution of your screen.
To change it follow these steps:- Type of topic: config in the Firefox address bar and hit the Enter key.
- If the warning that this might void your warranty , click I'll be careful, I promised.
- Search for layout.css.devPixelsPerPx
- Double-click layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to edit its value. The default value is - 1.0 in Firefox 22 and above. Change it to 1.0 to run as in previous versions of Firefox.
If necessary, further adjust the value of 0.1 or 0.05. Values between 1.0 and around 0.5 to reduce the size of the elements. Use a value greater than 1.0 to increase the size. For example, a value of 1.25 will increase the font size of the 125% to account for the default DPI setting in Windows 8. Check the value that you enter. Definition of a value that is too small will take everything away and too high will explode things.
If the web pages should always be adjusted so you can watch the extension Default FullZoom Level or NoSquint .
To adjust the font size for the user interface, you can use the extension of theme font & size changer .
This solve your problems? Please report to us!
Thank you.
