It seems that Avast detected a hidden partition very likely created by Alureon. That's where MSE and Microsoft Security Scanner fail and are what is meant when the message that the malware had been partially deleted. If you have not already done so, click the FixMBR button at the bottom of the window of the aswMBR scanner. Allow the process to complete confirming to all guests. Do not restart yet.

    It's the hidden partition.

Allow the list to fill in the right pane. Once filled locate the hidden partition. Right-click on it and choose 'delete '. Confirm to all guests. Now, restart the computer. Hello and welcome
Please download the TDSS Rootkit removal tool (TDSSKiller.exe) and save it to your desktop.<>
Don't forget to download TDSSKiller.exe (v2.4.0.0) from the site Web of Kaspersky and not TDSSKiller.zip which appears to be an older version 2.3.2.2 of the tool.

    • Double-click on TDSSKiller.exe to run the tool for known TDSS variants.
Vista/Windows 7 users right-click and select run as administrator.
    • If TDSSKiller does not work, try to rename.
    • To do this, right-click on TDSSKiller.exe, select Rename and him give a name at random with the extension.com (i.e. 123abc.com). If you do not see the file extension, seeHow to change the file extension.
    • Click the Start Analysis button.
    • Do not use the computer during the scan
    • If the analysis ends without finding anything, click close to exit.
    • If the malicious objects are detected, they show in the analysis results - action of selection for found objects and offers three options.
    • Make sure that the cure (default) is selected, and then click continue >reboot now to complete the cleaning process.
    • A logfile named TDSSKiller_version_date_time_log.txt (that is TDSSKiller.2.4.0.0_27.07.2010_09.o7.26_log.txt) will be created and saved in the root directory (usually Local disk c).
    • Copy and paste the contents of this file into your next reply.

Now erase your Temp with TFC by OT files
Download TFC by Old Timer and save it to your desktop.
    alternative download link

  • I reinstalled Windows 8 - so where the photo come from?

A strange, although I do not know there is a perfectly simple explanation. According to the title, I reinstalled Windows 8 completely. It's a Sony Vaio so I used the recovery mode via their button Assist, which erases all files and folders and everything installed apps etc and recovering the laptop in the same condition it left the factory.

All right, but on the home screen on my tile Photos it is a picture of my dog that I took earlier. If everything has been cleared, where the image comes from? I have absolutely nothing added since then reinstall it and I checked all the photo related to records and there is nothing there.

It appears with a Wi - Fi off so it's not picking up any other device. I'm totally confused as to where is this picture of. I can't find anywhere on the computer, but it's obviously there somewhere! Any ideas?

    Hello

I apologize for the delay in response. I would like to ask you:

    • You are connected with the Microsoft Account?

When you use a Microsoft Account, user settings are synchronized. So when you sign in with the same id on another computer, you can see the same settings that can include the image that you see as a thumbnail.

    Hope this information was useful.
