3. How is - that prevent you the user from accessing the drive?

  • Drive (USB key) cleaned using the command line. Not able to use the USB.

I had downloaded Chrome OS vanilla http://chromeos.hexxeh.net/ and writes to a 8 GB USB key. After that I checked, I tried to remove it. I plugged my USB and it asked me to format it. There was only one option of 1 GB. After formatting, I just had 1 GB on my USB key. Then, I tried http://erlern.wordpress.com/2010/04/02/repair-unallocated-space-from-usb-flash-drive/ and followed the procedure in the comments.

    Step 1: Start-> CommandPrompt->
    Step 2: Type diskpart-> Enter
Step 3: Type list disk-> Enter
Note: (find the allocated number of the disk)
Step 4: Type select disk X-> Enter
Note: (If X is the number of your drive)
    Step 5: Type clean-> Enter

After that when I plug my camera he asks me to format the drive. It shows unknown capacity. After clicking on start it says Windows could not complete the format. Then when I close it, it says Windows can not format H. check that the drive and the drive are connected correctly, make sure that the disc is not dead, and then try again. For more information, search the help of read-only files and how to change them. Now I can't use it and it has no memory. Please help me.

I got it. I HAD to PLUG IN ANOTHER PORT USB (IT DOESN'T WORK ON OTHER TWO) AND USE the TOOL in http://erlern.wordpress.com/2010/04/02/repair-unallocated-space-from-usb-flash-drive/ (in the tool, that the device will not be detected in the tool in the other 2 ports) Thank YOU

  • File system access for applications, where is ' accounts/1000/removable/sdcard/camera' I can not find...

    Hello

I have pictures stored in the accounts/1000/removable/sdcard/camera, but I can't find anywhere on my camera, I can see it using the app file manager with bb10, under ' Media Card/camera ' and the filepicker may also be seen, but I can't open a file residing in the path: for example accounts/1000/removable/sdcard/camera/img0000123.jpg.  I also tried to find it by using the "Target File System Navigator" momentics, I can't seem to find the sd card media anywhere there either... I took a quick glance to access to the file for docs apps system at: https://developer.blackberry.com/cascades/documentation/device_platform/filesystem/

and there, I see no reference to my sdcard/media...

IF someone could help me it would be greatly appreciacted...  Thank you

The working directory (also known as the current directory) for an application is the folder above the data / folder, which is/accounts/1000/appdata/yourappidhere for applications in the personal area.

In this folder are a number of actual files and symbolic links to other folders. A shared symbolic links / if you can use it to search the shared folder on the device, as you do here.

There is no symbolic links for removable file systems...

You must use the full path to access. Note that they have another symbolic link upwards in the root folder, specifically the /sdcard2, that points to the SD card, but I don't know if that has supported (documented and supposed to exist in the future).

  • Unable to access drive C - access denied

I tried to be smart and went to the wrong place! After giving my password wireless to a member of the family, I decided to play with the shared security. I click with the right button on the C drive and click left on property and left click on Shared for verification of the United Nations all public access to my C drive.  Then BOOM that many things began to happen. The essential being is not able to access my C drive, I got access denied. I tried everything Pegassus mentioned in this forum without success! It was so easy and logical to me to think that I was doing the right thing than to try to protect my own C drive, I can't believe that the only solution is to restore the home edition of windows 7 to fix that...

I am OK to follow all step by step to try to resolve this problem.  Thank you

    Hi Sothonod,

    1. are you under any domain?

    Step 1:

Try to take permission of the disc and check if the problem is resolved.

To take ownership of a drive, follow these steps:

    a. click the drive you want to take control and then click Properties.
    b. click the Security tab and then click OK on the security message (if one appears).
    c. click Advanced and then click the owner tab.
    d. in the name list, click your user name, click Administrator, if you are logged in as administrator, or click the Administrators group. If you want to take ownership of the contents of the folder, select the replace the owner of sub containers and objects check box.
    e. click OK and then click Yes when you receive the following message is displayed:

You are not allowed to read the content. Do you want to replace permissions permissions granting you full control?

All permissions will be replaced if you click Yes.

    f. click OK and then reapply the permissions and security settings that you want for the drive and its contents.

  • I want to recover the data on the hard drive using a laptop as a hard drive.

Original title: Using a laptop as a hard drive...

On a MAC, I can plug my laptop into my office with a firewire port to access the hard drive on the laptop without the OS being ran on the laptop.  Windows Vista has such a thing?  If so, how do you go?  The hard drive on my Windows laptop fails and we want to try and recover the data, by hooking it to a desktop as shown above with the MACs.

    Thank you in advance!

    Hello

"There is no way to access the hard drive when there is no operating system and if the hard drive is connected terribly."

However, you can remove the hard drive from the laptop and connect it to the office with a case of hard disk that comes with the USB cable.

  • How to remove the hard drive on a Portege M400-170 password?

    Hello

I read a lot of things in this forum, in the manual, I even phoned the Toshiba support and I still have no answer to my problem.

During the first use of the PC, I set a hard drive password. Now, I want to remove this password.
The user manual and the forum advise to open the bios configuration, under windows, which is supposed to offer the ability to edit and delete the password. No options, no ability to edit or delete the password.

The helpline tell me that if the configuration of the bios under windows does not have the ability to modify or delete the password, I have no way to do it (!).

I need your knowledge and your help :)

    Thank you in advance.

  • Remove the recovery drive and drive C on the internal drive of 2 2nd

I installed a Kingston 120 GB SVP200S37A / 120G on my HP Pavilion dv7t-1000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC with Windows 7 Professional.

I took the cable USB and case provided with my package and plugged my old hard drive of 320 GB.

Installed the SSDNow v + Series software and installed it.  At this point, I was happy to see my new Kingston 120 GB SSD and unplugged my old hard drive.

Last week, I installed my old hard drive to 320 GB in my laptop.

My current SSD is the C drive and disc HP_Recovery (D).

My old drive is Local Disk F and Local Disk G.  Can I do this in a single drive?

Is it possible for me to remove the HP_Recovery (D) drive then put it on to my second drive?

    Hello

Unfortunately, the second Bay of your laptop drive isn't bootable - this is true for all of the dv7 series, so spend the recovery Partition of your SSD HARD disk will cause any recovery attempt fails.  If you want to use a player of the second span, it can only be used for extra storage.

To make the drive in the second span in a single volume, you must do the following - keep in mind that this will destroy all data on the disk.

Hold down the Windows key and press R.  In the run box, type compmgmt.msc , and then press ENTER.  Click disk management in the left pane and let readers load upward.

For all volumes shown on the Second disk, right-click each in turn and select "delete the Volume.  When you are finished, you should have just "unallocated space indicated.  Click on this and select Format to start the wizard.  Windows 7 will affect a Volume label so if your happy with it, just leave the default.  File system is NTFS.  Allocation unit size must be left by default.  Select the option to perform a quick format if it is not already done.  Leave all the other default settings, and then click Ok, and then Ok to start the process.

Once this done, your disk should now appear as a single volume when you look under the computer.

    Kind regards

  • HPE-400f: upgraded to SSD drive, partitions are left behind I need help to remove.

I upgraded to 250 GB SSD

I did the recovery disk and install it on the new SSD. How can I now safely remove partitions and merge it with the original disc of ssd? I want to use the 1 TB as a storage for programs to run off the SSD device how to do this and remove the operating system?

    Greetings,

Please refer to thisarticleon partitioning and formatting a HARD drive using disk management.

Yet once, you will be able to remove the volume of the BONE and, possibly, volume HP_Recovery Microsoft disk management. The reserved 100 MB volume will likely be removed using third-party disk management software.

Do not use HP Recovery Manager to remove the HP_Recovery Partition. You remove the HP_Recovery Partition SSD , not the HP_Recovery Partition of HARD drive.

In addition, it is not necessary to remove the reserved partition of 100 MB system on the HARD drive because it is so small relative to the size of the HARD drive. It is hidden so you won't see it in Windows Explorer.
