I start up it will show Windows Vista family premium down then in the middle of the screen will see the Please wait

I have an Aspire X 3200 desktop PC. And I also have Windows Vista Home premium. When I boot it it will show that Windows Vista family premium down then in the middle of the screen will show it please wait... but it won't load at all. It will do nothing and just freeze like that all the time. Like now, I have to use my laptop able to do anything. I hope I can get help because I would like to use my desktop instead of laptop.

Hello

Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

Method 1:

Step 1:

Start in safe mode and check if the problem persists there.

How to start Windows vista in safe mode:

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Step 2:

If the problem does not persist in safe mode, and then put the computer in a clean boot state and check if that helps.

How to solve the problem by running the clean boot in Windows Vista:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135 Note: once you have completed troubleshooting, perform the steps in the step 7: to reset the computer as usual.

Method 2:

Run the Startup Repair tool and check if it helps.

Startup Repair: frequently asked questions:

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/startup-repair-frequently-asked-questions

Method 3:

If method 1 and method 2 has not helped, then perform the system restore from the recovery system to a restore point option when the computer was working fine.

What are the system recovery options in Windows 7?
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-7

Hope the information is useful.

    Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

    If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

    You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type sfc in the search box, right-click to SFC. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

    Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To make, click Start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

If I select "check for updates", the system seems to be verified but nothing happens. I have been round in circles on the shooters of microsoft problems and also tried ms 'fix' and a system restore obsolete MS essentials, which is not updated. Type of race or cmd, try: services.msc services.msc in msc, scroll down to the windows installer, double click it, the value

    "auto-start" start service, closed, next scroll to the update of windows, do the same thing, closed when thru.

  • Windows vista family premium sp2 won't start at all either

    I have a Windows Vista Home Premium, which was very rude! It crashes just before the Welcome screen and rest like this in normal mode and last good configuration. In the three security modes, files stop loading right after C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\aswRvrt.sys. The computer was purchased, everything as it came out, was super fast and since I got the Internet (LAN) on this subject, sometimes it goes really slow, refuses to boot and gets a major undetectable virus once a week only from google.com, youtube.com and Craigslist.com, which I know that Craigslist is full of virus, but whenever I go to block the program that I use freezes and crashes. I tried to boot from a disc, which it refused to boot from, even after changing the BIOS settings. Also when I use it on a date limit, she loves just freezing and crashing and threatened to get a bat with its screen. I'm not not ready to make a clean start, as I have already had to replace twice RAM and HARD drive once. The first HARD drive, we had, contained more than 3 years of photos and data, had to replace because of the Prime Minister being VERY lazy avg. Now I use avast internet security which is also slacking off the coast. Our computer does not come with a boot and repair the drive. It is not over heating and is free of dust, as I just cleaned it. The only thing that made everyone on the computer before it crashed was plants vs. zombies, Craigslist, google.com, youtube, and cars.com unless there is something I don't know. Any help would be a miracle.

    Hello

    You say that you can not it Boot from a disk even after changing the Boot order in the Bios.

    Remove the hard drive and it slave in another computer and do a Malware Scan on it.

    Use RKill to stop malicious processes

    RKill does NOT remove the malware; It stops the Malware process that gives you a chance to remove it with your security programs.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/rkill/

    Then, download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware in Mode safe mode with networking:

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

    "Utility of anti-rootkit TDSSKiller.

    http://support.Kaspersky.com/5350?El=88446

    See if that fixes it.

    Otherwise you can always back up your data using this method and then do a clean install.

    Saving your files:

    You can remove the hard drive and put it in a hard drive USB enclosure or it slave in another computer > plug it into another computer > and try to read and copy your data in this way.

  • Windows Vista Home Premium update froze during the 'configuration' June 30, 2009.

    Received notification of five updates to install on my computer Windows Vista Home Premium, one of them being Internet Explorer 8.   All the downloaded slowly.   Each of them appeared to install, but slowly and I left the computer while he was installing the 3rd update.   When I came back it had evolved in the 'Configuration' screen (always see after there are updates and it restarts) and sat there for hours.   It reads "Configuring updates: stage 3 of 3, 0% complete.  The percentage of nevers turns off 0%.   I finally turned off the computer and when she started he said windows had not closed properly so I chose the Safe Mode option.   He immediately went the same configuration screen.  I left it again for 4 hours, but no change.   What should I do?

  • Why windows vista family premium has disappeared from my computer

    I have a hp a6511.uk I've had for 4 years, it came with windows vista home premium, I have download service pack 2, last year. 2 days ago a window pops up on my screen asking me to activate windows as the copy I had was illegal. I duly entered the correct product key. It has been confirmed that my windows is now legal but since all I have is a blank screen. I can't find microsoft works or something to do with vista, windows Defender will not download, the initial screen comes on as usual & I have my usual shortcuts on the screen but that's all. I tried all forms of recovery, but nothing helped I feel my only solution is to install the cd that I made when I was first of all the backup computer, but I fear I can lose some of the software I installed it, everyone else has had a similar experience, I safety of bullguard.

    Thanks Jwag1. I was that tired with my computer Act up that I opted to replace it with a new one, once again your desktop hp with windows 8. I really appreciate that you take the trouble to answer & I'll keep in mind your advice for future use. • I have Windows Vista Home Premium and according to the sites (Microsoft), it is a FREE upgrade to Windows 7, is this correct and where do I go to find the Site to download free upgrade?

    Upgrade Vista to Windows 7

    There is no free upgrade available currently. There was a promotion, but it ended two years ago.

    I heard that if you buy Vista you get a copy of Windows 7 free
    The Windows 7 upgrade Option is available through participating PC manufacturers on some PC and Microsoft on any purchase of packaged product Windows Vista. The Windows 7 upgrade Option applies to Windows Vista Home Premium, Business and Ultimate editions. Your upgrade to Windows 7 will be the comparable version: so you will get either Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Professional (upgrade to Windows Vista Business) or Windows 7 Ultimate, respectively. The Windows 7 upgrade Option program works on June 26, 2009 through January 31, 2010.

  • Trobleshooting windows vista family premium starts

    Hello

    I'm having a problem turning on my laptop.  Sometimes it starts very well but most of the time it doesn't.

    It will be the first bit so "Windows" rises and it seems to start loading and the screen goes black and does nothing, then just like that.  Sometimes it will finish early and take me to the home screen, if I held down the power button for a while (which is always different) and other times it doesn't.  I then turn off with power button.  The next time I have try it says it cannot start if the system fix and then once on the home screen I have to refresh my virus program and do a full scan.  This happens every time!

    Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

    Restore point:

    http://www.howtogeek.com/HOWTO/Windows-Vista/using-Windows-Vista-system-restore/

    Do Safe Mode system restore, if it is impossible to do in Normal Mode.

    Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

    Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

    Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

    http://www.windowsvistauserguide.com/system_restore.htm

    Read the above for a very good graph shows how backward more than 5 days in the System Restore Points by checking the correct box.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:
    Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.
    Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.
    At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.
    When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial148.html
    Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.
    NeoSmart containing the content of the Windows Vista DVD 'Recovery Centre', as we refer to him. It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.
    Read all the info on the website on how to create and use:
    ISO Burner:http://www.snapfiles.com/get/active-isoburner.html
    It's a very good Vista startup repair disk.
    You can do a system restart tool, system, etc it restore.
    It is NOT a disc of resettlement.
    And the 32-bit is what normally comes on a computer, unless 64-bit.
    Hello SteveO_1968,
    To run the Bootrec.exe tool, you must start Windows RE. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Put the Windows Vista installation disc in the disc drive, and then start the computer.
    2. Press a key when you are prompted.
    3. Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or an input method, and then click Next.
    4. Click repair your computer.
    5. Click the operating system you want to repair, and then click Next.
    6. In the System Recovery Options dialog box, click command prompt.
    7. Type Bootrec.exe, and then press ENTER.
    Note To start the computer from the Windows Vista DVD, the computer must be configured to start from the DVD drive. For more information on the configuration of the computer to start from the DVD drive, see the documentation provided with your computer or contact the computer manufacturer.
    Bootrec.exe options
    The Bootrec.exe tool supports the following options. Use the option that suits your situation.
    Note If rebuilding the BCD does not resolve the startup problem, you can export and delete the BCD, and then run this option again. In doing so, you ensure that the BCD is completely rebuilt. To do this, type the following commands at the command prompt Windows RE:
    • bcdedit/export C:\BCD_Backup
    • c:
    • Boot CD
    • BCD attrib s h - r
    • Ren c:\boot\bcd BCD.old
    • Bootrec /RebuildBcd
    / FixMbr
    The /FixMbr option writes a MBR compatible Windows Vista on the system partition. This option does not overwrite the existing partition table. Use this option when you need to solve problems of corruption of MBR, or when you need to remove the non-standard code from the MBR.
    / FixBoot
    The /FixBoot option writes a new boot sector on the system partition by using a boot sector that is compatible with Windows Vista. Use this option if one of the following conditions is met:
    • The boot sector has been replaced by a non-standard Windows Vista boot sector.
    • The boot sector is damaged.
    • An earlier Windows operating system has been installed after the installation of Windows Vista. In this scenario, the computer starts by using Windows NT Loader (NTLDR) instead of Windows Boot Manager (Bootmgr.exe).
    / ScanOs
    The /ScanOs option scans all disks for installations that are compatible with Windows Vista. In addition, this option displays the entries that are currently not in the BCD store. Use this option when there are installations of Windows Vista which is not in the Boot Manager menu.
    / RebuildBcd
    The /RebuildBcd option scans all disks for installations that are compatible with Windows Vista. In addition, this option allows you to select the facilities you want to add to the BCD store. Use this option when you need to completely rebuild the BCD.
    I even tried running in safe mode with network and it is the first time that it would work at least 3 safe mode with network start-up. When I started it upward it said that windows has recovered from a stop down and he says one of the error is a blue screen.
    Hi DawnReneesReaders,
    1. were you able to reinstall Windows Vista without any problems?
    2 have you tried a Format installation?
    3. are you able to boot into safe mode with networking?
    Unplug all external devices connected to your system (except the keyboard and mouse) and check if it helps.
    If you are able to boot to the desktop in SafeMode with networking, then try to perform the following steps:
    You can perform a clean boot and check if it helps.
    A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
    You can read the following article to put the computer in a clean boot:
    How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    Note: Make sure that you put the computer to a Normal startup once you have completed troubleshooting.
    You can check the event viewer about what is causing the problem.
    Open event viewer
    What are the information contained in the logs of the event (Event Viewer)
