I suspect that my mail can't, how can I say this?

I'll start by saying that I am VERY low tech.

I installed a new software a few days ago, and since then my Mozilla account is very quiet. I can send messages to it from my personal account and receive. But I do not hear from clients, and when I sent an email to her from the Contact form on my site in that he did not come.

Try to send you an email to your e-mail account (online) of the server, and then see if it downloads to TB on your PC. You can also try disabling your AVP to see if it is the culprit. I use AVG for my anti-virus program and have it analyzed my incoming emails, but had to change the SMTP and POP 3 settings. If you have incorrect server settings in TB, I don't think that you would get any mail. You can send me personally at [email protected] and I'll try a reference to help you more. Ask Question Thunderbird in the subject line. I filter my email before downloading to tuberculosis.

    1. Why did you run ipconfig?

    2. what type of connection you are using? Is it wireless or wired?

    3. are you able to access the internet?

    In order to diagnose the problem, please provide us with the ipconfig log file.

    To do this, type the command in the command prompt:

    ipconfig/all > ipconfig.txt

    It will be saved in the directory where you typed the command.

    I have a person on my contact list that continues to send me forwards who take forever to come in my Inbox ~ I do not know very well that person and I checked the message to block the sender BUT making only the email they send go into my junk mail box ~ ~ grrrr ~ ~ I still need to wait for these stupid attackers he sends download before getting the rest of my mail that I don't really want to!

    Have been to ALL these sites and are NOT useful for what I was asking. They only put this person on my list of SPAM or JUNK, but the e-mails still come mail when I check my mail. I wanted to know if I could actually BLOCK emails from him, so that they never came through.
    However, at the end I wrote him an e-mail and ask that he take me off the mailing list (I wanted to avoid this but seems I had no other choice)
    So far so good... I got no email from him that I wrote.

    You forgot to tell us where you try to save files. You may be trying to save them in directories protected like the root of %systemdrive%\lopr.txt, Program Files or Windows. After you protect the directories is common with many modern exploitation, not only Windows Vista and Windows 7 systems. It's a good thing if you think that whether or not.

    What is not not the administrator, even if you are running in an administrator account (no best practices - see below), you still need to raise the privilege when overall changes to the operating system.

    If you try to save files in your user directory and failing, please let us know. Otherwise the OS works as expected. If you find it too shocking, then you can always switch to another operating system. However, be aware that you will find the same 'limitations' in Linux and OS X. And nobody knows what he/she does would run as root under Linux.

    You don't have your system set up optimal about users. You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista and Windows 7 are OS multi-user with system built-in accounts such as administrator, by default, all users and guest. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

    In particular, you do not want account only one user with administrator privileges on Vista and Windows 7 because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but it will take third-party tools and work outside the operating system.

    The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

    If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

    Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
    Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

    Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null).

  • Browsing history in Firefox 17 - can I keep this for a specific number of days?

    Previous versions of Firefox would be specify us how long to keep the navigation history and then automatically delete anything older than that. I can't find this option in Firefox 17. I had serious problems with FF, with frequent and long, breaks that I finally traced him to there is much too much browsing history stands. When I emptied all the browsing history, he seems to have resolved itself (fingers crossed). For the record: I also tried boot mode safe (w disabled addons), defragment my hard drive, drastically reduce the number of open tabs, etc. Erase browsing history was the only thing that makes the difference.

    Many versions now, historical storage Firefox is based on the number of pages, rather than the age of the pages. I don't think that it is a built-in way to prune based on age.

    This could be problematic. I guess or OE is over? This would make it easy.
     
    One thing you could do requires some manual work, but much less removal of dupes. For example, the Inbox. In the machine, you are going to scrap, create a new folder and move all messages in your Inbox to it. After you import on the other machine, you can drag the messages you need this folder in the Inbox, and then remove the user created the folder.
     
    And then there are tools to remove the dupes. This one for example.

    There is not really a way to do it.  Just like you cannot block spam from your mailbox home - anyone can send you mail and anyone can use a false address 'return' that makes it look like it came from you.

    In fact, it is incredibly easy (only 10 letters typed) to send an e-mail that looks like it comes President @ whitehouse.gov.  That's how spammers do, because there is no check on email (I wish the people who invented the email 40 years ago had thought of that), but it is not just.
