I think my computer has a virus that is disabling and eating everything

Internet Explorer does not work all of a sudden, the icon does not appear and it seems that it is not really installed more.

MSN Messenger does not work. It connects, but 10 seconds after he logs in, an error message appears saying that windows live platform has stopped working properly.

Windows Security Center is turned off and cannot be turned on. When I try, it says access is denied or something.

scan Windows defender said he has detected harmful infection and when I try and remove it, it does not remove.

I used avast antivirus protection and when I realized that there is some sort of virus, I tried to open it to run a scan but it says access is denied and then the program itself, eaten as internet explore.

IM using mozilla firefox at the moment, because when I tried to reinstall internet explore it says it could not install because I had to use windows update to check for the updates. so when I opened that and tried to check updates, he says that he was taken out of power or something. Ive tried to start in safe mode and scan but does not work, I tried AVG Antivirus but nothing works. Please can someone help fix me my computer? I wish just that there was a single test that could pick up every single virus and finally get rid of it!

Try those mode without fail - repeatedly, press F8 as you start - try scanners online in secure Mode
Networking. Please make ALL methods and go up to those which do not later as you can. Rob - bicycle - Mark Twain said it is good.

  • I think my computer has a virus.

My computer usually left open, one of the main programs in windows explore I used a security scan that has found 6 threats 5 were low the 6th was critical, but he said it was only for ad items, but it clogged and closed when I click on clean so I went online on the Microsoft website and tried to download a virus/malware remover is compatible to all windows , but when I tried to download it says it was not compatible, I can't access the system restore because it's one of the things that my computer refuses to open up. So basically, im denied donkeys to all that gives me the ability to change/delete things on the computer and it has completely taken over my scanner security that is supported by microsoft and intel.

So in addition to coming here ive ran out of ideas, I don't have to talk about code or computer language, so please try and make it easy for me.

Recently received a phone call from a person saying that my computer has a virus online damage the hard drive.  They said that my computer license of Microsoft and utilimately ID wanted remote access to my computer via maintenance PC (pc22.com) to correct it.  Is this a new type of fraud that goes around?

It is not a new type of fraud, but it IS a scam.  MS does not give that kind of information, and they do not call users.

  • I think my IE has a virus but not of my scans for virus or malware checks come up with anything. Is there a way to check this?

I think my IE has a virus but not of my scans for virus or malware checks come up with anything. My computer is running VERY slowly, lagging behind, or even on an occasional basis freezes and stops when I'm on the net. Computer function uses only the net works fine until a program I use try to use Windows Explorer. Is there a difference between Explorer Windows and Internet Exporer and is there a way to check this, other than the usual scans. I have McAfee and AVG, as well as malicious software running on a schedule and they are still running in the background, constantly analyzes the sites.

I am at a total loss here. I use secure sites (https rather than just http) when the choice and do not use sites that McAfee or AVG is marked as dangerous. It worries me that I have a lot of things, such a Bank, online and not worry that someone could get information. I recently also maually run the two scan disk and Defrag but they can also be programmed to run on a schedule. The model is NOT saved. When I tried ot create a backup disk, when I first bought the model, something has gone wrong, and he refused to back up then reset would mean a great loss of material. If it's a virus, worm, etc., it is done gradually and I'm not sure that a restart of the plant would be useful it is in IE or Windows Explorer (if there is a difference).

  • Strange phone call from Microtech saying my computer has a virus

This morning I received a strange phone call. The caller ID said TRIKON but speaking men said they were by Microtech. I could barely understand what they said, and they had Middle Eastern accents. They asked that a program on a computer with windows 7 was about to crash, once again I barely understood what they were still talking. They spoke as they were apparently trying to save my computer by a virus. They asked me to go in my command prompt and type Assoc. at this point the call seemed really shady and suspicious. I have no idea how they had our information, they wouldn't tell us who they worked for, and the call quality was extremely poor. We hung their call, and then moments later recalled, we told them everything was fine and that we would be talking to a real representative of microsoft. They did not return after that. It was all very suspicious, I ran several scans on my computer, but I did not notice any problems. I'm very confused, and I don't know if I'd be worried. I would much appreciate it if someone could help me on this situation. I have also some question. TRIKON is in collaboration with microsoft? Is there a computer in circulation problem? I want much help from one who has experienced this problem, as well as support from Microsoft.

-I would like to thank very you much for your time.

This is a complete scam and one that has become very common these days. . Don't think anything such a caller said, do nothing that he tells you to do and hang up on him immediately.

At let them into your computer? If you did you are at serious risk for what they could have done it (installed spyware? Identity theft? Steal the passwords?), and I highly recommend that you do the two following:

    1 reinstall Windows properly

    2. change all your passwords, especially those of the financial institutions and online stores.

  • My computer has a virus, can I start safe mode and download the scanner software?

My daughter has a virus on his computer and he was arrested for perhaps a year. Can I try and see if it will boot in safe mode and down load a service of scaning as Mirco soft essentials for a scanner or Malware Anti-malware bytes. I guess my question main you can down load a program in safe mode.

    Hello

Of course you can. Use safe mode with networking to download directly on his computer--several times
as you start the computer, press F8.

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be harder to detect as
    the cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run
the regular windows when you can.

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence
