I think the Satellite P100-427 has grainy screen

I just bought a Satellite P100-427 with a Trubrite screen. However, I find that the screen is grainy, especially when you look at a white background. I saw the same video card on a non-Toshiba laptop with the same specifications and it seems ultra sharp - no grain at all.

What I have to do something to my computer or make me a defective screen.
Comments are appreciated.

I think you're the one with this note on the screen. It will be interesting to see what it looks like, because in this way, it is not easy to say something specific about it.

I can only say that you can try to update the BIOS with the latest version. A long time ago I found some similar comments, and the solution is update the BIOS.

If you decide to do this please read carefully offered BIOS update document.

    I have a problem.
My screen is black, but when I connect and external monitor I can watch my external monitor. Also, my GPU temperature is 120 ° c. I think it's verry high and not normal.

Here is someone who knows what is the problem?

    Just a comment;
As far as I know that it is not the GPU temperature sensors and so I m not 100% sure if your GPU temp value is right.
Anyway, if you can see everything on the second monitor then it s certainly not a GPU problem!

    Hello

Did you download the right drivers for the right series of notebook?
Satellite P100 - 10 p belongs to the PSPAGE series.

I think you should double-check the Toshiba forum page and be sure that you have downloaded and installed all the drivers available at 100%!

I think you should check if you have also installed the Texas Instruments Flash Media driver.

Last but not least the installation instruction has been placed on the page.

  • For the Satellite P100 PSPAGA RAM question

    Hey guys

This is my first post and I couldn't find any help anywhere else about this and so I have a few questions to ask.

First of all how to find the type of ram I was wheather it's 533 mhz or 667?
As I was looking to buy 667 sticks, that would happen if I put 667 in 533 locations or vice-versar

Secondly, I rang a place asking a price on RAM and they said if I put more then 2 gigabytes on my laptop it would be and I quote "BLOW UP".
I was a bit confused when this chick said that as it says in the online manual I can have up to 4 GB in my laptop.

It would be actually the case or this chick has no idea?

As shown in the topic I have a Satellite P100 PSPAGA 014001 or p100-400 that I thought it was called: D and I currently have 2 sticks of 1gig ATM and I have only 2 memory slots

Would appreciate any help or advice that I am looking to buy and update in the coming days to 4 GB

    Hello

Check your chipset that was installed in your laptop. Then check the properties and specifications of the chipset, and you will know how much it takes care of the RAM.

    With regard to the 533 Mhz or 667 Mhz;
As Akuma already said you need to use the 533 or the 667, but I wouldn't mix the RAM modules. This could cause some compatibility problems.

    Welcome them

    Hi guys

Value added package contains many different Toshiba and utility tools!
Satellite P100-160 belongs to the PSPAA series! So, you should always choose this series if you want to download the drivers from the Toshiba page!
This number can be checked on the bottom of the unit.

I visited the page of the Toshiba driver and checked the details.

    Hi all

    I have a toshiba Satellite P100 324 with a nvidia geforce 7900GS 512 MB vram.
I have a problem with falcon 4.0 allied force. Everything is going well except when I update to patch 1.06 and upward.

The game freezes for a second every 10 seconds. I sent the allied force. I've tried everything.
Anti-one off, reinstall the drivers, reinstall direct 9.0 c... They tell me to turn off Full screen Anti-Aliasing.
Are not full-screen Anti-Aliasing in my menu of the graphics card as anti-aliasing.

Is there a difference between Full screen anti-aliasing and anti-aliasing?
So, I disabled everything in the view menu. I tried to update the drivers, but there is no update for this toshiba.

Does anyone know if there are new drivers for this model?

    Thank you all
    P.

    Hello

F4AF is an old game, I don't think that you have the latest video drivers. Anti-aliasing anti-aliasing full screen is the same, don't worry about this.
Of my friends installed this game too and had similar problems. Try to reinstall the game, the patch to the latest official version. Then, there are a few informal corrections called superpak, which solves many problems. Recent publication is by superpak4.

Check this. Hope this helps you.

  • Display failed on the Satellite P100-434 - need to change the boot order

    Hello
My Satellite P100 suffered a failure of the display last night. I can confirm that the backlight is working but I do not get a display.

  • Possibility to update graphics card on the Satellite P100 - 10 p

    Hello

    I bought a laptop from Toshiba Satellite P100 - 10 p which has a Geforce Go 7900GS inside.
Will be always possible to switch to the graphic card Geforce 8 series (for example Geforce Go 8800 GS)

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

so many people are asking this, and I love to explain so often. ;)

No, it s is not possible! You cannot update, since the VGA of the computer is limited to the motherboard, oou if the motherboard has really a port special external pci - e VGA, then everything just because the modular design of the hardware, but not that you can change the VGA card.

But don t be funereally :), there is a solution.

There are some manufacturers that are developing a case of external graphics card, where you can put a regular vga (pci-e) card for playing games on a screen.

Just type in google: slot external vga express

    Good luck

  • Problem with external monitor when used with the Satellite P100-434

I'm trying to use a Vizitron L - 151 monitor flat screen connected to the VGA port on the back of my Satellite P100 - 434 (PSPADE)

I find that the screens seem to periodically - feeding cycle windows resize themselves and then the screens settle down again. This happens with the laptop and the external monitor.

I've updated the latest available BIOS V4.20 (November 2, 2007) I use 7.15.11.6369 NVIDIA GeForce Go 7600 driver version. I'm under the edition of Vista Home Premium to standard build.

I even resorted to the use of the dvd system recovery to rebuild completely the laptop and the problem persists. In Device Manager I have generic Non - PnP monitor and below that I have a generic PnP monitor I tried and it is not possible to get specific drivers for the monitor Vizitron L-151. * NOTE * I saw dxdiag that the external display is identified the Non - PnP device

The display configuration that I'm trying to use is to have my laptop as the main screen with the external display on my left as an extension to the desktop. In display config my computer screen appears as number 2 with the additional display in the poster as a device 1

While typing this my screens have made this three times and the last time, this IE7 window installs itself to the external display in restored down to size.

If anyone has a glimpse of it, I would be very grateful. There are no problems when the external display is deleted.

_I can reproduce this problem on demand_ by uninstalling the monitor Non - PnP Device Manager.

Sorry, mate, but you ad confuses me a little and be hones I m not 100% sure what you take on
You have some problems with the resolution of the external display or what?

I've found another thread on the setting of the external screen as main screen:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/message.jspa?MessageID=96263#96263

    According to this statement:
    > In display config my computer screen appears as number 2 with the additional display in the poster as a device 1
It seems that the external monitor has been on the main screen and display books internal as external.

I recommend you change this settings and to use books appear as 1 and the external display form 2.

  • Can I put the Satellite P100-240 with internal fingerprint reader

    I have a Satellite P100-240.
Although he did not come equipped with material to print finger scanning, it has clogged the hole in the box where he would go.
So I wonder, can I get the hardware scanning separately and adapt it to the laptop?

I don't see any option for the material to be sold separately on the Tosh site and I'm not even sure who makes the hardware for them so I can source it independently.

Can we offer here advice or information on this operation?

    Hello

You are right. Some P100 units support the fingerprint, and some units have been delivered without this feature.
As I m not wrong not these fingerprints can be upgraded

But to be 100% sure you should ask the local ASP (authorized service provider) for details.
But in my opinion you can not put the laptop with fingerprint reader.
