On what update did you get the error code? Check the history of update Windows for the exact number of KB.
1) click on the Start Menu.
2) click on all programs.
(3) when the window opens, click view update history in the upper left corner of the window.
This gives the full list of recently made updates and also the status of the installation as if the update installed successfully or not.
If you have not updated, take note of the corresponding article.
Now visit http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx , enter the KB article number and download the update of the same.
More often than otherwise, it should get installed from the download above.
Just in case you have trouble to install the same, consider resetting your Windows Update components after which the installation from the source folder.
Click automated Microsoft Fix it to reset the components automatically.

I have a HP Deskjet 3050 J611which a printer prints perfectly wireless or if the software is not installed, although it won't scan without software. When I install the software, it does not work. I am running windows vista Home premium, on a system 32-bit HP Pavilion dv9700 op. I have internet project 8 service pack 2 of windows and norton security suite installed on my computer. Sorry for the long description, have tried to update my Acrobat Pro XI to the latest version, when you use the update tool, I get an error which suggests for me to uninstall and reinstall Acrobat, have done that 2 times, do not want to do it again. Why am I having this problem? I used to have PDF pro and got rid of it for Acrobat, now I'm starting to think it wasn't such a good step...

Uninstalling is a last resort. Simply download the update of http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows and do the update manually. For AA XI, you can go directly to 11.0.07 (not the case for older versions). Make sure that you are logged in as administrator and have disabled anti-virus.

SP2 for Windows Vista will not install. Receive error 800b0100 code.
