I tried to install the window updates that are available to me and they keep for lack of error code 80070641 and now I can't open Windows Mail.

I start to install updates now for several days and each time that they do not.  Error code 80070641 rises now and I now have problems in Windows Mail.   The update was for the Windows desktop.   When I opened my Windows Mail... error codes are as follows: Socket 10061 error and Error 0x800CCC0E #.

Hi colorfulvue,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site

I would like to know if you are using Windows Live mail or Windows mail in Windows 7.

Windows 7 comes with windows live mail default and a default windows mail vista.

If you use Windows live mail you will need to post your problem on this link:http://social.microsoft.com/forums/en-US/categories/

I suggest download you Windows Installer CleanUp Utility from the Microsoft Download Center:

http://download.Microsoft.com/download/e/9/d/e9d80355-7ab4-45b8-80e8-983a48d5e1bd/msicuu2.exe

Disable all security software.

If necessary :

Try this - Panel - Windows Updates - on every update that will not be installed - click on the important updates
or the update itself - double click a view more information (or click top then discovers on the right)

Those who will take you to a page where you can download the update.

Or go here and the KBxxxxxx number to download it.

Download Center - mount the KBxxxxxx.

Microsoft Download Center
http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - click on - RUN AS ADMIN

Then you can right click on the update in the updates Windows and HIDE.

If you get an error Installer install this version:

Windows install 4.5 Redistributable
http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=5A58B56F-60B6-4412-95B9-54D056D6F9F4&displaylang=en

Then run this:

Try to install the updates manually by downloading the stand-alone package after the reset of the windows components.
