I tried veriface, now the laptop wants a password.

Hello.

I tried veriface on my G570, but found it annoying so I uninstalled. Now when I turn on the laptop it asks a password to the start screen. This laptop was sent to Lenovo to repair a few months ago, where they have reinstalled windows 7 and made me a default generic user WITH NO PASSWORD account.

1. press ESC or enter to logon screen does not work.

2. I can't in the security modes as he always asks this non-existent password.

3. I tried to reset to the last known good configuration does not work.

4 try to repair the windows installation asks for the password.

5. I tried, configure passwords in BIOS, does not work.

Any help please?

When you played with veriface, he asked you to type a password.

you remember how it was?

everything you typed in veriface is your new Windows password.
VeriFace has changed.

Newly acquired Nook Color would not recognize connection WEP. So I spent the Bureau for the WPA. Now laptop said little or no connectivity. Can the corners as well and portable live in this environment? If so, how?

It's a good thing.  WEP is near useless for what is security is these days.

Connect to a router, or using ad hoc wireless to share the Internet connection belonging to the office?

Most wireless routers require that all devices use the same encryption level.  Some newer routers can allow a mixture of WPA and WPA2, but as far as I know, none allow the WEP and WPA at the same time.  If you use a wireless adapter in the Office for an ad hoc wireless network, I'm sure that without these adapters allow the WEP and WPA.

Change your laptop in WPA too.

You may need to remove the connection recorded first in order to make this change. Assuming you use Windows to configure the adapter to the laptop wireless (and more far assuming that the laptop is running XP sp2 or greater), the procedure is as follows:

    • Open network connections (start > run > ncpa.cpl > OK)
    • Right click on the wireless adapter icon and select Properties
    • Click the "Wireless Networks" tab
    • Select your network wireless from the list of "Preferred networks", then click on the button Delete
    • OK your way out

Now find your wireless network in the list of available wireless networks, click connection and enter the WPA password when you are prompted.

I downloaded some updates via LPD for programs such as Cyberlink Youcam. It has frozen several times but finally loaded and installed. Now my laptop is wobbly. It is slow, and when I watch/stream Netflix or Youtube, fan runs fast.

Unfortunately the Windows updates do not cover YouCam and Cyberlink etc. You may have to contact HP support.

What is the difference between Windows® updates and HP Support Assistant?

Two updates are important and cover the different aspects of your computer. Windows updates are limited to updates of the operating system. HP Support Assistant provides software updates specifically related to your HP or Compaq computer, including software updates for HP driver updated and BIOS updates.

In rare cases, for example an update driver software, Windows and HP Support Assistant, try to provide the same update. The two applications will check, however, if the new version of the driver is already installed. If it were, nor application download or reinstall the driver.

  • Inspiron 1545 Windows 10 reset failed, now the laptop is dead

HI: I have an Inspiron 1545 5 years that come with Windows 7 Professional 64. A few months ago I upgraded to 10 Windows, but after a recent update, we had so many questions that I decided to do a reset. I started the Windows 10 restart procedure, but he won after many hours, so I rebooted and did it again a few times with the same result. The third time I tried to do that, he had served on 1% for 20 hours. The next time I restarted it just did not. I tried to access the original recovery partition, but it seems inaccessible (tried F8, Ctrl + F11, etc..) I started in integrated NETWORK interface, but it is said that there is no bootable device. I tried to start the installation of Windows 7 Pro DVD, but it does not load. Any ideas?

I always use a diagnostic on the hard drive, but the evil is already presented, then you're probably right. Thanks for the reply.

  • Major problems: not enough space, tried formatting, now the FAT is corrupted, what should I do?

I have a 4 GB San Disk Sansa Clip and yesterday I tried to add music and he ran out of room, so I deleted a bunch and he always says that there is no space. I then deleted all my music and audio books individually and yet he insisted that he had no space. So I tried to format it and now when I turn it on, it says FAT is corrupted. I ran an error control and it found nothing. I then opened the Sansa clip in a window and it is completely empty! Not nothing! I ruin it? What should I do now?

YAY! So I have deicided to try to drag my music in anyway and it worked! Just connect it to your computer and do drag music files, then eject it and turn it back on. It should be able to listen to all your music and work again.

  • Re: one photosmart more coper/printer/scanner not to talk to the laptop

1st stop I'm under Win7 32-bit home.  The printer will copy the built-in scanner pages and print them very well and printers autotest reports everything is fine.   For awhile, I had a problem with any computer see the printer via the USB cable.  I would like to do a clean install from the cd and the printer work fine until that 1 or more of the following has happened past.  The laptop is turned off or restarted, the usb cable is disconnected, or the printer is in sleep mode.  At that time there Windows Guard reports that the printer is offline.  I tried to restart the laptop and printer.  I tested the USB cable, the cable is fine. So I completely uninstall everything to the printer and do a clean install. And once again the printer is fine until you restart the laptop, or the USB cable is disconnected or the printer goes into sleep mode and new Windows does not see the printer.  The wireless connection to the printer was working fine then I don't care for the problem of USB cable until we lost the Charter ISP (wireless to the printer has been by the charters router in my house).  I have ISP back up now.  But the printer connects to the laptop on the ether now of wireless connection.  I need a new printer or what?

    Hello

If you do not, use another PC to create a rescue CD Windows 7.  Download the ISO relevant among the links below.

    Windows 7 32 bit

    Windows 7 64 bit

You must use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO to a CD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.  One time created, or if you already have this, typing away at the esc key when you launch Notepad to open the Start Menu.  Insert the rescue CD.  Select boot options (usually f9), use the arrow keys to select the CD/DVD drive and press ENTER.  You can also get a prompt to "Press any key to" continuous - it if requested.

When loading, select repair your computer and choose the command prompt.  When this charge, enter the following commands and press on enter after everyone – including spaces as shown.

    Bootrec.exe

    bcdedit/export C:\BCD_Backup

    c:

    Boot CD

    BCD attrib s h - r

    Ren c:\boot\bcd BCD.old

    Bootrec /RebuildBcd

    Bootrec /fixmbr

    Bootrec /fixboot

Remove the rescue CD and try to restart the laptop.

    Kind regards

  • Tried to download the last update, no compatible system, now browser does not work even when I tried to download it again. I have bookmarks, I want to come back.

Currently, I have a Mac, version 10.5.8. My Firefox was slow so I tried to download the latest version. When it was downloaded, a message pops up saying that this version of Firefox is not compatible with my system. Well, ' don't quite no fault "I thought and I tired to go back to my previous browser.
But when I went to click on it, there was a large circle with a line through it. I couldn't open anything. Firefox has actually been removed from my computer.
Now it's ok if I can't start Firefox more but I got thousands of bookmarks, compiled over the years that I really want to go back. And I have no idea how to do that.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
