I try to do the Task Scheduler open an Access 2007 DB on the network

Hello

Any help with this one?

I have a DB of 2007 access on a shared folder on the network.  I want 4 users to be able to start and DB that open when they are connected.

It works when you schedule the execution of a program that is located on the local disk, for example, open Notepad or a other prog.

When I do the following...

Create the new task (no base)

Open task DB name > run when the user logged on (they must be in any case) use with the highest privileges = yes > Configure to Vista or server 2008 (using Small Business SERVER 2003 and Vista Bus)

Relaxation > in the journal to start GOLD > specific user or group (ME) check box selected = Yes

Action > start a program > Browse to the program/script = x player database - name.accdb

Conditions - no defined (of course supply sector)

Settings > allow the task runs at the request - stop after three days (again, I'm not that long!)

Click RUN to see if it works. Nothing happens

All suggestions, anyione has done something similar?

Tried several variations on the settings, still no joy.

Thanks in advance. McP

    Hello pat,

You're trying to network the two versions of Windows by following the instructions in this article?
  • Try to find the network adapter without WIRELESS Broadcom 2 x 2 for X120e

Do not understand the difference between the 1 x 1 and 2 x 2 802.11n appellations, I ordered my X120e with the default option of 1 x 1. While the speed is OK when I'm close enough to my wireless router, the beach is not as good. (Not nearly as good as the adapter 802.11 g in my T61).

Now, I know better, so I'm on a mission to buy the Broadcom adapter. According to the hardware maintenance manual, the FRU # is 60Y3251. If you Google this number, there is only a single sale of the part store: sparepartswarehouse.com. Has anyone ordered Lenovo parts of them before?

I understand from another thread on this forum that the BIOS has a whitelist of approved mini PCI Express card, otherwise, I had just order one part of Dell which has the same Broadcom chip and less expensive.

I don't think that the card from Dell or HP works, as far as I can tell lenovo approved cards have a lenovo firmware that detects the BIOS at startup. FYI, 60Y3251 is $53.50 IBMmaintenance.

  • Bug: Changing computer name is not reflected in the existing task scheduler tasks

I changed the name of my computer some time ago.

Today, when I went to the Task Scheduler to add a new task, I got an error message:

"An error has occurred for task [task name ]. Error message: the specified account name is not valid. »

When I clicked OK to clear the error from the Task Scheduler open OK, but the task identified in the error is not in the list of tasks, which means that it was impossible to consider the task or correct the error.

When I checked the file containing the details of the task, I found that the task remained the old computer name, i.e. it was not being updated when I changed the name of the computer, and so the task was now where the error and was apparently being hidden.

This seems to be a bug.  Preferably, the account names must be updated if the computer name is changed, or at least the task is still visible in Task Scheduler.

    Hey drghughes,

Well, you have a few options:
Here is a link to the telephone Contact information to report a bug
You can send Windows 7 comments (include details about bug) at this link
    Or from your system:
Press Win + R (or get the command run from the start menu)
Now type rundll32.exe FeedbackTool.dll, ShowWizard and press enter
The application of problem report send opens, simply include your LiveID information.
And thank you very much for taking time to make our products better. Important to get information like this, so why I have given so many options lol and it's a big help.
I hope that was helpful. Thanks again!

  • My emptiness of my network places, but the networking seems fine

So, I'm having a bit of a problem that seems to have an impact on all computers on my home network (XP pro x 64 SP2, XP Home SP2, XP Home SP3, XP Pro SP3). Everything worked fine for a year, or while I was at home and then all of a sudden, in recent days, this problem has hit. I can't connect directly to one of the shared folders on my network through my network places. There are more all shared folders showing up there. I try to search the network for shared folders manually by opening the entire network-> Microsoft Windows network (slower than normal here to find my task force, WORKING group)-> WORKING group. Once I try to open my workgroup, he waits a while and then I get the error: "the Working Group is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions. The list of servers of this working group is not currently available. ". Note that all of my PC of in this working group.
Internet works fine on all computers, and I can access any shared drives I have been mapped (or enter the path network in Run and open it) and can ping other computers on the network, so I don't think that there is no problem with the network card, and it happens on different computers with different network cards 4 so it is hard to believe that everything has been corrupted somehow. The only thing I can think is that I have automatic updates turned on and maybe MS has released an update that caused this problem.

Has anyone seen/heard something like that? Any ideas what could be the cause or how to fix this? Measures to try? This isn't a critical issue, as I said I can still access shared folders, just map them or something, it's just frustrating that something that used to work find just stopped, suddenly, with no good reason and everything I can think told still seems to be fine...

    Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply.  I would in fact already found this page through previous research and tried some of the suggestions out there on several of my computers (no luck).  However, the problem is that this page is for lack of network connections and is not really my problem.  My network connections appears fine, it's just the shared network folders that do not appear in "my network places".  I can still access it directly (mapping the path to a file, or enter the path in 'Run'), but I don't have the ability to browse the network more.

I just wanted to point that the issue seems to have resolved itself, on all computers.  No idea what caused it or what fixed it, but it's that everything works well again.  Thank you Jack for trying to help!
