  My laptop will not automatically updated Vista SP1 or SP2.  It still fails.  I decided to download the standalone update from another computer, and then download and install on my laptop.  The problem I encounter is when one is installed it is uninstalled and the automatic updates icon opens with an important update that ends up being Vista SP1 or SP2, whatever one is in front of the update installed.  Can someone help me understand how to solve this problem?

• I have something on my toolbar called "Good buddy" made it feature one of the updates or is it a third party program that creeps in?... I can't get rid of it! and I can't find any info on this topic anywhere.
