    copied from:profile folder

Profile folders are in one of the following locations:

    ~/Library/Mozilla/Firefox/profiles/ < profile folder >

    ~/Library/application support/Firefox/Profiles / < profile folder >

The character tilde (~) makes reference to the folder of the current user, so ~/Library is the /Macintosh HD/users / < username > / library folder.

    Thank you

  • Just upgraded to version 9.0.1 and now all favicons associated with my favorites have disappeared. Ran of checkPlaces, did not help at all.

Sites without favicons show the place of the border dotted, but those with the icons are just gone.

  • I did a reinstall of 17 FF and lost all of my bookmarks, passwords, etc.

FF was behaving strangely - I couldn't see the images on Web sites. I've checked all my updates and everything was good, FF was the most recent, Flash Player has been the most recent, then I restarted FF - no luck. Then I restarted my Mac - I could not even get pictures when I went to Web sites, so I decided to uninstall and reinstall FF. I have the trap of the app and it asked if I wanted to delete all associated files, when I deleted my applications FF, I clicked on Yes. Then when I reinstalled FF 17 and its opening, there was absolutely zero historical. My bin has not been emptied, anyway I can find files with my bookmarks, passwords, history, etc.?

I am on OS 10.7.5 and a reinstall FF 17.0.1

If you use the time Machine, you can then it looks for the lost profile.

  • 31.1.0 and 31.1.2 drop down menu commands and commands "right button" very slow... what to do?

My TB version 31.1.0 and 31.1.2 drop-down menu commands and commands "right button" very slow... All other menu programs bars will work perfectly. Tried disabling McAfee, no diff. TB collects e-mails, wrote e-mails to a normal speed without problem. Control S, V, P, etc work but slow... what to do?

To diagnose problems with Thunderbird, try one of the following:

    • Restart Thunderbird with disabled modules (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu, click "restart with disabled modules. If Thunderbird works as usual, there is an add-on or theme interfere with normal operations. You will need to reactivate the modules one at a time until you locate the offender.
    • Restart the operating system in safe mode with network. This loads only the basics needed to start your computer while allowing Internet access. Click on your operating system for instructions on how to start in safe mode: Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, OSX

  • Calendar and Contacts icons lost blackBerry smartphones

I upgraded the software in the last two days and has been move icons on the screen and lost icons calendar and contacts.  The contacts are still on the machine, for sure, because I can get them if I'm going to dial address book.  Not clear on the calendar, although it seems to sync properly (in outlook). Tried to reset by removing the battery, but have the same problem on the screen.  I am doing something stupid?

I FOUND THEM!  Hidden in the 'Music' box, which I never use. There must be an easier way!

  • Upgrade to version 20 broke all bookmarks and URL address bar

Since I updated Firefox to v19 to v20, the program is not responding when I click on any bookmark or manually enter a web address in the URL address bar.

It does not expire waiting for a connection, and there is no "connecting to" message in the status bar. Nothing happens at all.

I can run Chrome and IE 10 on the same computer you connect to the internet without problem. Only 20 of Firefox has this problem.

Article knowledge base, I tried to delete the application rule for Firefox to my firewall software (Avast Internet Security) and add the rule. This does nothing.

The program is essentially dead. I'll try to go back to version 19 to see if this solves the problem. In the meantime, the 20 version is broken on my PC.

    Firefox version: 20
The Version of Windows: Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 32-bit
AV and firewall software: Avast Internet Security 7.0.1474

Does anyone else have this problem? Have you found a solution, other than the return to the old version of the program?

UPDATE: for the record, back to FireFox 19.0.2 solved the problem. The program now meets all the favourites and manually entered web addresses in the URL bar.

I disabled the maintenance service that updates 'in silence' of Firefox. The plan is now simply ignore all the Mozilla prompts asking me to upgrade to version 20.

    Problem solved, for now.

  • I just upgraded the new 6.01 FF and now I want to restore my previous version upgrade. How do I do that?

I just upgraded the new 6.01 FF and I don't like the way it is prepared and want to return to the previous version. How I do that without completely uninstall FF completely? Help... Please tell me how > thank you

Well, it's not as if you're upgrading! You don't downgrade your browser.

But don't worry, the decommissioning process, it's like the upgrade. For example, you can install an older version without uninstalling Firefox!

    Don't forget to hit "resolved."

IMPORTANT NOTE: Remember that previous versions may have security problems. The latest security updates, you MUST upgrade to the latest version. That's what I would recommend. Thank you!
