• I did a reinstall of 17 FF and lost all of my bookmarks, passwords, etc.

  FF was behaving strangely - I couldn't see the images on Web sites. I've checked all my updates and everything was good, FF was the most recent, Flash Player has been the most recent, then I restarted FF - no luck. I have the trap of the app and it asked if I wanted to delete all associated files, when I deleted my applications FF, I clicked on Yes. TB collects e-mails, wrote e-mails to a normal speed without problem. Control S, V, P, etc work but slow... what to do?

  To diagnose problems with Thunderbird, try one of the following:

• Upgrade to version 20 broke all bookmarks and URL address bar

  Since I updated Firefox to v19 to v20, the program is not responding when I click on any bookmark or manually enter a web address in the URL address bar.

  It does not expire waiting for a connection, and there is no "connecting to" message in the status bar. Nothing happens at all.

  I can run Chrome and IE 10 on the same computer you connect to the internet without problem. Only 20 of Firefox has this problem.

  Article knowledge base, I tried to delete the application rule for Firefox to my firewall software (Avast Internet Security) and add the rule. This does nothing.

  The program is essentially dead. I'll try to go back to version 19 to see if this solves the problem. In the meantime, the 20 version is broken on my PC.

  Does anyone else have this problem? Have you found a solution, other than the return to the old version of the program?

  UPDATE: for the record, back to FireFox 19.0.2 solved the problem. The program now meets all the favourites and manually entered web addresses in the URL bar.

  I disabled the maintenance service that updates 'in silence' of Firefox. The plan is now simply ignore all the Mozilla prompts asking me to upgrade to version 20.

  Problem solved, for now.

  Well, it's not as if you're upgrading! You don't downgrade your browser.

  But don't worry, the decommissioning process, it's like the upgrade. For example, you can install an older version without uninstalling Firefox!

  Don't forget to hit "resolved."

  IMPORTANT NOTE: Remember that previous versions may have security problems. The latest security updates, you MUST upgrade to the latest version. That's what I would recommend. Thank you!
