I use a laptop Windows 7 in the office wireless remote for my desktop running Vista. The connection disconnects regularly "try to reconnect 1 20.

Hello

I use a laptop Windows 7 in the office wireless remote for my desktop running Vista. The regular connection disconnects after a few minutes, then displays the window pop-up "try to reconnect 1 20. It always with success reconnects itself during this first attempt. During the time when the connection is lost, the internet connection is fine, in other words, I could use my cell phone to browse the internet.
Any ideas what could be causing this?
Thank you.

  • Windows 8 times the device disconnect sound...

Windows 8 times the device disconnect sound, my screen goes black, then both the windows the device plug his and my monitor turns on again. All my windows open and then re sizes to the top left of the screen. This happens randomly as I work with the computer. I have a Dell Vostro 270 connected via a VGA cable to a Samsung S22B300. I checked the event logs and Device Manager. Everything seems good. Please help if you know what this may be.

Typically, this means two things: either the cable is loose, or the video driver broke down.  Usually if it's the driver, you would see that in the event where newspapers and maybe even a notification bubble near the clock when you see your desktop yet (something like "your display driver recovered").

Do you see something like that?

  • "The remote computer has disconnected your session because of an error in the licensing protocol. Try to reconnect to the remote computer, or contact your server administrator. »

    Hello

I received the following error message

"The remote computer has disconnected your session because of an error in the licensing protocol. Try to reconnect to the remote computer, or contact your server administrator. »

This happens when I try to log on my remote on the icon access log, I put on my computer at home so that I can get to work if I need to.  He worked for a few months after I bought my new laptop and software, but now suddenly it doesn't.  I talked to my guy TI in the work and they seem to think it's a common problem with "Vista Home Premium", I can do to change it so that I can use the remote access icon?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Licensing protocol handles the communication of information on licenses between your computer and the remote computer. If there is an error in the licensing protocol, your computer may not be connected to the remote computer.

To resolve this problem, restart the computer and try connecting to the remote computer. If you continue to receive this error message, contact the server administrator.

This also occurs if one of the registry entries is corrupt. Try the following steps to resolve this problem.
    1. Click Start, type regedit and press to enter.
    2. on the window of the registry editor, navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSLicensing
    3. right click MSLicensing, click on export and provide a file name for example RemoteKeyBackup and click on save to the desktop.
    4. right click on the HardwareID key and store under MSLicensing folder and click on delete.
5 restart the computer for changes to take effect. Restarting the computer will create new keys.

NOTE: If the problem persists, then you can take backup of the MSLicensing registry key and to load it on the computer of the problem, this will fix the problem.

Visit this link for more information:
    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc756826 (WS.10) .aspx

Important: Incorrectly editing the registry can cause serious problems on the computer.
    Back up the registry: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Back-up-the-registry

Try the steps and check the result.

  • Eternal HDD PX1266E - 1 25 retains the connection/disconnection

I have an external HARD drive, type PX1266E - 1 25, that no longer seems to connect with my laptop.

Until yesterday, everything worked fine, but then I started to hear the connect/disconnect sounds windows all the time (a first, later others and repeated all the 1-3 minutes approximately).

They disappear when I remove the cable of the USB ports on my laptop HARD drive.

If I look at computer Magement - Device Manager - Universal Serial Bus Controllers, I see that whenever I hear the sound connect, Device Manager refreshes and a new item "USB Mass Storage Device" appears between 4 'Intel (r) 82801 DB/DBM USB Universal Host Controllers"and 4 'root USB Hubs' already contained. When I hear the noise of the disconnection, the USB MSD disappears again.

Following some comments I found on the web, I've uninstalled all the USB controllers and restarted, to clean, but that made no difference.
If I right-click on the MSD line for the short period that it is visible and select uninstall, then reboot, my computer laptop actuall does not see the external hard drive (the balloons found new hardware USB 2.0 CD + HD and found new hardware USB Mass Storage Device appeared), but the drive is not really recognized (he normally stood like a G (: hard drive).
Sometimes I get an error message as well after you have uninstalled the drive and when it is reviewed by the PC (a third balloon indicating that a problem occurred during hardware installation. Your new hardware might not work properly), but that only seems to happen if after uninstalling, I don't not yet restarted, but at the same time the HARD drive went through his routine to disconnect/connect again.

Any suggestions on what I can do?

    Hello

It of difficult to tell if it s really a laptop or drive HARD USB related issue s
In your case, I would try to connect the HARD drive to another computer/laptop to check if the same thing would happen with an other other computers.
This will help you know if his laptop or external HARD drive issue

But to be honest, it seems that drive TOUGH question... maybe this disconnection messages balloon appears because the HARD drive stops working.

I understand that you have a problem with the WiFi and wanted to help you!

First of all, try to review the next steps, offered by community member @Great-Christine-Tree:

First of all, we have a step by step guide to guide you through the process of diagnosis here:

HP PC - troubleshooting Internet and wireless network

A second option is to try the following steps:
    Powercycle the network:
    1. turn off your laptop.
    2. unplug the power to your router.
    3. disconnect the power to your modem.
    4. wait at least 45 seconds.
5 reconnect the modem and wait for it to come back online.
6 plug in the router and wait for it to come back online.
    7. turn on your laptop and test your connection.

Turn off the power to the adapter:
    1. open Device Manager. (Win Key + R > type devmgmt.msc > OK)
    2. expand the network adapters.
    3. right click on the Ethernet adapter / wireless, and then click Properties.
    4. click on the power management tab.
5 remove the check mark next to allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
    6. click on OK.
    7 test cycle.

Reset the TCP/IP settings on your PC:
    1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
    2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
    3. in the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without the quotes and press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

It can also help to reset the winsock catalog:
    1. go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.
    2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator.
    3. in the window that opens type "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes, and then press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

    Reinstall the NIC drivers:
    1. download the drivers from here , but do not run them again.
    2. go to your Start menu/screen and type Device Manager.
    3. expand network adapters.
    4. right click on the wireless adapter and choose uninstall.
5 install the drivers downloaded in step 1.
    6. restart your PC and test.

    Test an ethernet connection:
Explicit. Test if the problem persists on a wired connection to the adapter hardware troubleshooting wireless can be directed to the appropriate areas.

    Test another connection:
Many people excluded their home network as a problem if another device working on the same network. Networking is not as simple as that. Each device interacts differently with your router or modem and it is impossible to exclude the settings for this device until the laptop has been tested on another network.

If these steps do not resolve the problem, try this document published by Microsoft for network management issues: wired and wireless network problems. You can change the operating system with the drop-down list in the upper right of the document.
