I use Thunderbird with multiple e-mail accounts. This morning, on behalf of BT 12 months last emails have disappeared, no other accounts like hotmail. (btinternet?)

The shot to the top of Thunderbird, this morning, the last 12 months of emails have disappeared from my Inbox. Older emails are still there. The new mails are still on my phone. Other accounts in Thunderbird (hotmail, gmail, etc.) do not seem to have been affected. This seems to be a special relationship between Thunderbird and BT internet email. I would be really grateful for any help. Thank you.

Hi - Thanks for taking the time to answer for me. No, the problems don't moved earlier. My wife also has a near-dormant BTinternet account which is accessible from the Thunderbird even on the same computer. Which has proved to work very well. I found that there were many problems with the BT e-mail yesterday and my problem was resolved later (2 hours on the phone) by a very helpful Lady in BT who virtually rebuilt my account. Even my security questions were rejected. I think that BT Yahoo email had major problems yesterday and he had nothing to do with Firefox - so please accept my apologies if I've wasted your time. Again thank you and best regards.

  • Bug with multiple e-mail accounts?

I have put Mail in place with 7 e-mail accounts, all with different e-mail addresses.

    Generally works with little trouble.

I, however, just noticed what I think, it's a bug.

2 e-mail accounts are for my wife. Sometimes get us the same incoming e-mail to we bith, with are different e-mail addresses.

Mail, however, only seems to have only one. If I delete the mail from the Inbox of one of my accounts, he also disappears Inbox account of my wife. If I read an e-mail, it appears as read in the accounts of my wife. If I move in my Inbox to a different folder, it disappears from the Inbox of my wife.

Because they are separate accounts, with different addresses, I really don't think that mail should be dead copies separate e-mail for each account, so my wife and I can deal with an e-mail sent to us two, differently if you want.

    Thank you

I hear what you're saying and sees the logic but I suspect Apple thoughts are as follows.

If you have multiple e-mail accounts in a single connection on a Mac account, then they are considered to be all for that single user with just one reading these emails. Apple allows you to create multiple accounts login expect for each person separately identify and treat their email separately.

So I would advice, you create a second user login to your wife.

Note: You can activate "Fast user switching" preferences system-> users and groups-> connection-> 'Show fast user switching menu' Options, this will make it easier for the two of you connected through separate accounts at the same time and switch between them.

  • With multiple e-mail accounts, there is a way to move the accounts upwards or downwards the accounts listed?

I have several email accounts and recently changed my ISP. I want to continue to have access to the old email addresses, but would like to have the new ISP address appear at the top of the address list. Is it possible to move the address up or down in the list without deleting and re - enter in the accounts?

Go to Tools | Add - ons | Download the modules, enter manually sort folders in the search box and install it.

  • I use Thunderbird on multiple computers to the same gmail account but I have a laptop with little memory, so I need this laptop only to download a few files

I use Thunderbird on multiple computers to the same gmail account. I have a small laptop with very little memory and it runs out of disk space when it downloads all my folders. I would only download some of my file on the laptop, but keep all the folder on my other computers because they do not have problems with disk space. When I unsubscribe records in 'manage folder subscriptions' then he cancels his subscription on all my computers, not just the laptop. When I go to 'Properties' on the folder and sets 'retention individual police' these settings are not applied at all. What can I do?

All of the messages in each folder will appear in your message list. But this does not mean all the bodies of messages are downloaded, if you have properly configured the parameters of the disk. If what I described above stuck in your settings then Message body should be downloaded only 'on demand' when you click on each message.

To confirm this install the addon glodaquilla, which has a column "on the disk" that indicates if a message is on the disk. If you want, after you have installed the addon set Thunderbird to work offline, so it does not download message body when you click in the list of messages.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Multiple e-mail accounts

Hey, grateful for the help with my little problem. I just got my new "BOLD" of BB and my personal COMPUTER company helped set up to receive my office mail (Microsoft_Exchange) using the BES and it works beautifully. Play with the phone later and read the user guide, I saw that it was possible to add multiple e-mail accounts. So, I followed the procedure for "setup" on the phone and duly added my gmail account personal. It seems to work fine as well. However, I have a problem. Whenever I get a new email to my personal gmail account, I simultaneously receive the same e-mail to my office email account! Now that's a bit irritating. How can I stop my personal email appearing in my box with the letters of the Office? The opposite does not occur, IE, email received in my Office mailbox does not appear in my mailbox gmail mailbox. Any help / advice for this problem appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, thanks for the explanation. I am pleased to inform that I have solved my problem. I deleted the 'additional email' (that is to say, my personal gmail I put in place through the configuration of BB application). Then I went to gmail using my computer, downloaded the "gmail for mobile" on my BB and set the IMAP protocol on. And here, an exact replica of the gmail page I see on my computer now appears on my BB! And gmail mails I get are "pushed" to my BB, WITHOUT reproducing on my mailbox for MESSAGES from office. I don't know how it works, but I'm assuming that gmail is not pushed into the BES through gmail IMAP regardless of the BES. In any case it meets my goal.

Thanks for educating me on some of the subtleties on the functioning of the BES.

  • Can I have a thunderbird on 2 computers with the same mails on each (from multiple e-mail accounts as archive)? I only use thunderbird offline storage.

Hi, I have downloaded and deleted all my gmail accounts. I have the files .mbox for each account. Basically, I want to be disconnected for a while but wanted to make sure I had an account of my email incase there is a recipe for something I need in the future. I actually don't like all my private emails all maintained online. So I have Thunderbird to store all mail from all of my accounts. I like to keep the thunderbird and all of my emails on my laptop and main computer. Is this possible? Thanks Jen.

p.s. Someone else said I should have / could have used e-mail for mac? I love Thunderbird however if these functions are possible. Still, I do not wish to go online in the future or to collect all mail accounts will no longer exist, different from the empty account set up specifically to start Thunderbird.

There is an easy way and a little more a path.

The easy way is to define a computer (server settings, once again) to leave messages on the server.

Then the other on the value up to download and delete them off the server.

This will require a coordinating appropriate on your part. If you download and delete on the PC and that removes the server off, then you can get them on your laptop without some to file copy.

So, you have to remember who is downloading but leave it on the server and that you do everything first all the time. And don't forget to download and delete and a second all the time.

    =

    =

The other method is simply locate the mail files you have and copy them from one to the other.

Curiously, the local folder on your computer is also available on this pop-up 'server settings '. He lies down in "Local Directory"

Simply copy from one to the other.

  • How to combine features of Thunderbird each access to different sets of multiple e-mail accounts on 2 old computers in a configuration of Thunderbird on my new computer?

The laptop to access my personal email accounts (4 different ones) and my company email accounts (2 different ones). The old office can access my email accounts personal and emails from my wife (2 accounts for her). I now have a new desktop computer and I would like access to all the accounts of a single Thunderbird. It would be extremely difficult to start a new Thunderbird and enter all account information for all of these multiple accounts of a new beginning and re-upload all emails. I know that I can save the Thunderbird profiles separately and restore them to separate the case of Thunderbird on two distinct users, but it's a pain to change username every time one of us needs to see a different e-mail account. If multiple accounts cannot be restored in an instance of Thunderbird new monkey, is there a way to set up two instances of Thunderbird on a single office and restore backup of a computer in a Thunderbird and the other in the second? Thank you.

Menu (alt + T) OK, tools > options > Security > passwords > saved passwords and by clicking on the button show the password appears what you forgot.

I think that the closer you get to what you want is two profiles...

If you change a shortcut for the following arguments according to the target

    -ProfileManager -no-remote

Thunderbird will run twice on your computer (so it can be opened in each profile) and ask which profile every time it starts. If you use the argument Pei [profile Name] then Thunderbird will begin with the indicated profile (required several shortcuts).

My goal of looks like this

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Daily\thunderbird.exe" -ProfileManager -no-remote

  • Private browsing is not allowing me to open multiple e-mail accounts

At work, I need to be able to open multiple gmail accounts simultaneously (not just switch between them in the same window, but in fact make them open in two different windows). In the past, I did in Firefox using a window of incognito for the second account.

For several months, I've been using Chrome at the request of my employer, but now the Chrome has been compromised (big surprise), and I'm back to using Firefox. However, now when I open the private window and go to gmail, it takes me straight to my first e-mail account. If I connect a window, it connects me out in other institutions.

Can someone tell me the settings I need to change? It's frustrating the heck out of me and makes it very difficult to do my work, by disconnecting signature, signature, disconnect...

Private and normal windows should have completely separate cookie jars.

If you check the title bar, the private windows are marked with the white-mask-on-purple tab in the upper right corner and normal windows, with no mask?

If you do not see the icons of mask on the private windows, you may have Firefox creating their own private browsing automatic, that will let you open the 'normal' windows, so there's only one pot to cookies for the whole session.

  • I can't receive emails in Thunderbird my new e-mail account

I have a new email address I set up in Thunderbird exactly the same as the others, but although I can send emails from her, I can't receive them?
(I get the error message: "send password to user - e-mail address here - has failed.) Mail server mail.lcn.com responded: Authentication failed. »)
It is not a problem with my hosting account, I can e-mail in their webmail, I can't get them in Thunderbird?

What is wrong? Can you help me?

To diagnose problems with Thunderbird, try one of the following:

    • Restart Thunderbird with disabled modules (Thunderbird Safe Mode). On the Help menu, click "restart with disabled modules. If Thunderbird works as usual, there is an add-on or theme interfere with normal operations. You will need to reactivate the modules one at a time until you locate the offender.
    • Restart the operating system in safe mode with network. This loads only the basics needed to start your computer while allowing Internet access. Click on your operating system for instructions on how to start in safe mode: Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, OSX
If the safe mode for the operating system to resolve the problem, there are other software on your computer that is causing problems. The possibilities include but not limited to: AV scanning, virus/malware, background downloads such as updates of the program.
  • I want to use Thunderbird without saving e-mails on PC. How is that possible?

I want to use Thunderbird without saving any email to a local folder in my PC.
Can you help me please on this?
    Thank you.

There are two types - POP and IMAP
You will need to login to your webmail account using a browser and select the option to use the IMAP forwarding Protocol - assuming that the option is available.

E-mail POP accounts can only access the server Inbox.
Emails are downloaded to your computer and stored in your Thunderbird profiles folder. So this guy can't according to your needs.

IMAP e-mail accounts provide a remote view of files and emails stored on the server.

You subscribe to view these folders. Then the headers are downloaded and when you opt for the display of an email, the email is downloaded in a temporary cache.

Subscribed folders that are synchronized, download a copy of the file and store it in your Thunderbird profile. But these files are constantly updated to reflect what is stored on the server.

Your best option would be to create an IMAP e-mail account, you sign up to see the folders on the server, but do not select to synchronize subscribed folders.

E-mails stored in your Thunderbird profile on your computer load faster than those that must be retrieved from the server each time.

Info on the synchronization, so you can see how to turn on or off.
