  It's really true.  This security feature is that many companies use now, including Microsoft, Google, Facebook, Twitter and many banks.

  Basically, it protects you by making sure no one can access your account unless they have two things:

  1. Something you know (your password)

     and

  2. Something you have (your phone or to another e-mail account)

  Even if someone were able to guess or steal your password, they couldn't always access your account.

  If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
  scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
  resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be more difficult to detect as the
  cause.

  No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
  to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
  its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one

  I recently updated my home information, but my old secondary e-mail address to use for password reset confirmation is no longer active.  I said it's "lost" (only option provided for me) but Hotmail now lists my another new address but it showing pending confirmation by e-mail.  I came across the same problem when I tried to have my PC listed as "Trusted PC"...  Hotmail wanted to send confirmation to my former secondary e-mail before you "trust" to my new PC.
