There's no other choice "Tabs at the top".

Tab Mix Plus move at the bottom of the view-port, but not in the address bar at the view port.

Extremely awkward. makes navigation difficult and more difficult to locate the tabs, being further from the view port.

Hello Fudd12345, for the moment still manually, you can change this behavior - enter Subject: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears), search for the preference named browser.tabs.onTop & activate false by double-clicking it.

However this setting could lose its effect in a future version of the browser, for more information, see also www.ghacks.net/2012/07/26/mozilla-tabs-on-bottom-feature-needs-to-go/

  • The tabs in Firefox 4 are hiding my browser themes. Can they be placed UNDER the address bar as it was in Firefox 3?

Firefox 4 has placed the tabs above the address bar, rather than below (as if it was in previous versions) and the legs are block and hide my browser themes. Is it possible to move the tabs UNDER the address bar? I love being able to customize my browser with a variety of topics, but if I can't see them, then, the purpose of Personas is defeated. I think also, navigate between tabs is much easier to be at the top of the browser window. The address bar must be the head, not the tabs.

Right-click on a toolbar, and then click the entry "Tabs" at the top to deselect the it.

  • How can I move the tabs under the address in linux/FF 24 bar?

I prefer the tabs under the address toolbar on my Firefox. Before I could just click or uncheck an option to do this, and it remained the same that I have upgraded. However, I recently moved to Linux Mint 16, and he had 24 already installed Firefox. I have synced my bookmarks, but did not find the opportunity to move tabs. I actually have the roomy bookmarks toolbar and tabs previously sitting underneath. Ideally, I would like to bring here once again.

Type of topic: config in the address bar

    Accept the responsibility of contraption.

Enter browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar in the search field

    The value "true" to "false".

Now, Mozilla GOES, at some point, this changes with possibly every new version until they hard the code so you can never change at all.

    Well...

  • Tabs above the address bar doesn't work well with the QuickLaunch Dock - do I have to return to FF3.6 for tabs on top?

Although there are other minor problems with FF4.0, I guess a lot of people are going to get worked in the future updates (I'm confident Mozilla will be as great as they were in the past with these problems).

The main problem I have (I don't think that will look) is to have the tabs at the top of the window. I have a quick launch Dock that is displayed when the cursor is at the top of the screen for ~1.5 seconds more, and if I hesitate on a tab, it appears and I have to click here to dismiss my QuickLaunch Dock.

Under the address bar tabs were not distracting - the address bar is much more annoying. At least the legs have a description text of the page, rather than a drawn URL...

I don't want to go back to FF3.6, as other changes of FF4 - doesn't bother me, but if the tabs should stay at the top, I'll have to switch to Chrome or Safari.

Right-click on a toolbar, and then click the entry "Tabs" at the top to deselect the it.

You talk tabs on the tab bar?

    When these tabs appear?

You cannot close the with a middle click or via the context menu on the tab bar?

If they open when you click the Home button and then see:

If they open when you launch Firefox as part of the restoration of session, so you can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the profile folder of Firefox that store session data.

Delete the sessionstore.js file possible sessionstore-# .js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox profile folder.

Delete sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and tab groups and opened and closed the tabs (back) to get lost, so you will need to create them again (take note or bookmarks).

  • I want to search in the address bar

I have the new firefox 43, when I type things in the bar recipient, my most used web sites pop up at the top and I press down arrow once and get the website, I want, but now article 1 is always the search option, I don't don't need or want it to be there I have a search to the search bar.

How do I 100% completely remove the search from the address bar icon so that the 1st item in the list goes back to be web addresses?

PS I also find it very disconcerting that during this update we asked me if I wanted to search option/suggestions in the address bar and I said no, but when I was looking into options to get rid of this 'new' this option has been activated.

What others of my preferences during the installation you just ignore?

This is a new feature in Firefox 43. To turn it off to do this:

    1. Go about: config in Firefox
    2. Click on the I'll be careful button
    3. Locate the Boolean browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete
    4. Change the false value

Note: You may need to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.

  • Impossible, drag a bookmark to horizontal bookmarksbar (space under the address bar)

In FF 18.0.2 there are 4 bars I can activate for use, by putting a tick in the respective option: 'menu, navigationbar, bookmarksbar, addonsbar bar. (I hope you don't mind the wrongspellings, I have FF in finninsh) When I check "bookmarksbar", it creates a horizontal blank space below the address bar. Isn't this space to quickly open frequently used pages, without the vertical bookmarsbar? Now, it seems that it is impossible to drag any bookmark to it addresses or the vertical bookmarksbar bar. There must be a reason for this horizontal blank space, but how do I use it? Or have I misunderstood this? I have searched for the solution, but have yet to see any question about it. A lot of other things about bookmarks, but not only this one. Or other person, except me, care about this thing, or so it works in other machines. Any help appreciated!

Go to firefox > bookmarks (or press ctrl + shift + B) to open the library. Here you can move bookmarks of the bookmarks toolbar in the Bookmarks menu or unsorted bookmarks (simply by dragging and dropping them in a different location).

  • A gap of 1 line under the address bar in the browser firefox after installing the Google toolbar. Unistalling both and then installing firefox just didn't help. All solutions?

I'm not able to remove 1 inch gap, which came just after the installation of google toolbar. After that, I uninstalled Google Toolbar and Firefox respectively and there still, installed Firefox only, but the gap of 1 inch (1 row) remains just below the address bar of the browser. How to remove it?

Have you tried to disable the other addons? (Click Firefox > Addons > Extensions, disable all extensions one by one, but the Google toolbar and restart Firefox)
