I want that my favorite folders of IE imported directly under bookmarks, not through "From Internet Explorer"

I imported my Internet Explorer Favorites OK.
They are sitting under the Firefox bookmarks folder "from Internet Explorer". Double movement necessary.
I don't want to have to go through this folder. I want to put my favorites of IE DIRECTLY folder under bookmarks.

Favorites of IE that are imported when you install Firefox or when you use the import menu of the library item, they are in their own separate folder named In Internet Explorer. You can remove this folder before you can continue.

When you export to IE Favorites in bookmarks.htm file IE format > import & export the menu item, and then import this file into Firefox library window (from the item show all bookmarks menu) > import and backup-> import-> HTML file HTML - these bookmarks are merged with the existing Firefox bookmarks, they are not in this separate file.

  • I noticed that some jpeg (RGB) images are not display in Internet Explorer 11, but they present very well in other browsers. In addition, the images used to display properly in Internet Explorer. No idea what is happening?

I noticed that some jpeg images are not display in Internet Explorer 11, but they display well in other browsers. I checked they are RGB images, because apparently some people accidentally use the CMYK format. IE is configured to display the images - I checked that also. The images used to display properly in Internet Explorer, and the images have not been changed on the server. The content was created using Dreamweaver CS6 and Photoshop CS6.

I tried to view the page on other computers running IE, and they also have this problem.

Any idea of what could be causing this to happen?

Thanks for looking in this people!

I discovered that prevented a few images to display in IE 11, while other images show. The culprit was Adblock Plus for Internet Explorer. Once, I disabled the software Adblock Plus missing images showed once again. Interestingly, I discovered that I could cause the same effect in other browsers using Adblock software. There is either a bug in the software of Adblock, or fluid network of Adobe system, which caused some legitimate images should be blocked. Whatever it is, they do not play well together right now. All images are stored on the same domain, and none of them related off site, so it's pretty weird that they have been blocked...

Anyway, the mystery is solved! I know people like to see a conclusion to these things as much as possible, so I'll mark this as resolved issue.

  • I use "from Internet Explorer' to store my new Favorites, but they do not appear in my 'Favorites' - where are they?

When I changed my IE7, Firefox (and I'm very glad I did) I migrated my large list of Favorites (which was divided into subsections to make it easier to find items) to Firefox Bookmarks. I continued to bookmark web sites, I added to the sub-headings in "Of Internet Explorer" I can easily find. However, when I wanted to copy on my laptop, I discovered that the only "favourites", I can find it on my PC are the old favorites IE7 - none of the additions made in Firefox were there. Similarly, the bookmarks toolbar, which I use now is different from the toolbar Favorites always accessible from my Windows Explorer.

Where this information is stored in Firefox so I can copy?

My OS is Windows 7 Professional.

When Firefox is set to zero, then a new profile is created and some of your data (Favorites, history, cookies, passwords, data form) is imported automatically your current profile will be moved on the desktop (old data of Firefox).

You will lose the extensions and other customizations (toolbars, Pref.) that you have made.

It is possible to recover more data from the old profile, but be careful to avoid transporting on the problem.

One possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or limits Firefox or plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

Delete all rules for Firefox in the list of permissions in the firewall and leave your firewall again ask permission to get full unlimited access to the internet for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

  • Sites that use javascript to launch code download fail in FF but work in Internet Explorer.

All financial sites that I use (TD Ameritrade, SunTrust bank, AmEx, etc.) allow to download monthly statements in pdf format. These used to be direct links to a pdf file, which can be downloaded or played directly in Firefox. They are now the javascripts which probably make the PDF on the fly from documents, and then download. I get a garbage file on my desk instead. In Internet Explorer, the javascript code triggers a query to view or download. In Firefox, I believe that there is a flash of a window that opens, then nothing. I tried to disable AdBlocker and have the sites listed to allow pop-ups, and is not.

Try running Firefox in questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode. If it works properly in this configuration, then one of your modules is the culprit.

I want my favorites always open, in the opinion of sidebar as I used to have in older versions of Firefox. I need to that and can not work Internet by clicking 3 times whenever I need a favorite Web site.
I can't imagine others aren't as needing their favorites still in view.
