I want to add auto IE tab firefox without the addition of manual, also I want to change the value of extensions.ietab.filterlist without classes to the topic: config

(1) I want to change the default extensions.ietab.filterlist to mywebsite url value without having to follow several steps, each time that the user is going to hit my site, then to the users of the browser extensions.ietab.filterlist value must be added when it will hit my site. Topic: config, we can add manually, but I don't want to manually add, is it possible to automate this process.
(2) is it possible to install the activex (extension Ietab) without clicking on add to firefox, I ask because my site is not supported in firefox because of the activex.

(3) how to add admin privileges for activex in firefox.
. Please help me

I found the solution to this problem,
(1) I added the User.js file in the default mozilla profile folder IE
C:\Users\xpointers\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xb2fxdxi.default, I've added in user.js
user_pref ("extensions.ietab2.filterlist", ' / ^ file:\\/\\/\\/.*\\. ") (mht) | ("mhtml) $/ http://*update.microsoft.com/* http://www.windowsupdate.com/ * http://www.UrWebsiteUrl.com/ * ");

You can add n number of URLs to run in IETAb or IEtab2.
User.js file overwrites the prefs.js file.

(2) allowing to automatically add extensions to add addon, using the code and need to change the extensions.json file to the new version of firefox, for the old version of firefox need to change in the sqlite database.

Change the browser.newtab.url preference, or it is ignored?

If it changes after you exit and then restart Firefox, look for a user.js file, as described in this article: How to fix preferences that will not save.

If it is ignored, are looking for an extension that is unwanted in the Add-ons page:

    CTRL + SHIFT + a button orange Firefox (or tools) > Add-ons

On the left side, click Extensions, and then disable all non-essential or unrecognized extensions.

Typically, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

  • Hi I want to add beta6 22.0 firefox to the standard iso windows8 so that it installs as I installed windows8, how can I do this?

I want such a solution whare he asks me why when I installed windows8 with firefox

Unfortunately I have no experience with batch files either, so I can't really judge if everything is configured correctly.

what it shows, the firefox.bat Setup file is not necessary (just leave it), because the installation is already triggered (silently) in your commands.cmd installation of mozilla. you do not need to rename the Setup program, it is discussed properly in the latter file. just put it in the same folder as other files...

What is missing, is the setting firefox as the default browser on the system. That is why the command

    "%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -setDefaultBrowser

should be added at the end of the script.

  • How to add left and right margins in the topic?

    Hello

I use RH10 under the TCS4. I create screen provisions by changing only the existing ones.

I noticed that there is no margin / space between the border of the subject and the content in the topic inside. When I searched for that in mobile.css, I have not found any reference. When I made a component inspect on Firefox, it stressed default.css which I cannot find in my pod of setting up a project.

How can I change it? Here is the screenshot of the question that I am referring to:

    Margins_Topics.jpg

    Please notify.

    Anthony

This is done in the css layout. If you add a padding to div.wTopic you will get the result that you need. Don't forget to subtract any width that add you in the padding from the width of the div.wTopic or the container will become too big.

The project manager pod displays only currently used css files by themes. You can assign css to a topic in the properties of the section? You should see all the css files in your project directory.

    Kind regards

  • 13 new tab Firefox opens the page with the error "page is not valid.

Installed version Firefox 13. New tab button, new tab or Ctrl-T file results in message:

    The address is not valid
The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded.

The Web addresses are usually written as
    Http://www.example.com/
Make sure that you use slashes (i.e. /).

I found a solution that solved my problem. I went in: config, browser.newtab.url and changed the subject: newtab to about: blank. I am very happy that I can add new tabs without error and the white page works for me.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

  • My firefox has no tab firefox at the top or all the new features that I've shown video start-up. Is there a setting to change from what seems to be an older view of the new view version?

I want to see my Firefox the way in which the video shows. Firefox TAB instead of: File, Edit, View, etc.. How can I change the view?

The new interface is the default on Windows Vista and Windows 7 only. To get it under Windows XP, you must hide the menu bar. Do, in the view menu, select Toolbars, then click on the entrance to the "Menu bar".

If you need to access the menus, you can press Alt or F10 to display temporarily.

  • Firefox does not open the ' topic: config page'. It gives and error message indicating the url is wrong.

I'm running Firefox 3.6.8 in Ubuntu 10.04 and try opening: about: config page
But this is reflected in the error message saying that url is wrong.

    Just to confirm you type:

    Subject: config page

If you are, then, which will cause the error, you must enter this:

    Subject: config

  • When Firefox crashes and restart is necessary, Firefox always try to open the same tabs that caused the failure before.

I use tabbed browsing all the time. When I open a tab of a Web site that poses a problem, freezing Firefox (but not the computer), I find that I can delete the Firefox problem only by restarting the computer. I am so appalled to find that Firefox then tries to recreate the same set of tabs that caused the problem in the first place, causing Firefox freeze again. Usually I can get it out by closing Firefox and very long wait for Firefox to close completely so that it can be restarted again.

This problem occurs in version 4.0 as well as in the latest version of 3 that I had. I remember that in some versions previous Firefox asks if you want to recreate your tabs or open in a new browser window. I always took the second option. This choice is no longer makes its appearance.

Set the pref browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes to 0 on the about: config to get page the on: sessionrestore page immediately with the first reboot after a failure has occurred or the Task Manager was used for the closing of Firefox.

Which allows to deselect the tabs that you do not want to reopen, but will reopen the other tabs.

    See:

To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the 'Enter' key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.

If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.

You can use the filter at the top bar of the on: page config to more easily spot a pref.

  • I left several tabs that Firefox sent the warning prompt. As I click on save and leave I pressed accidentally the "save these settings. Now I'm just wondering, how do I disable it, so that Fireox sends the prompt whenever I try to close multiple tabs?

This may sound silly, but once when I was about to leave Firefox, I got the warning prompt if I wanted to close many tabs... As I click on save and leave I pressed accidentally the "save these settings. Now I'm just wondering, how do I disable it, so that Fireox sends the prompt whenever I try to close multiple tabs? I'm under 3.6.6 with OS X Snow Leopard.

You can reset the preferences to warn on the topic: config page via the context menu.
    browser.tabs.warnOnClose, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/About%3Aconfig_entries
    browser.warnOnQuit, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnQuit
    browser.warnOnRestart, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnRestart

To open the topic: config page, type Subject: config in the address bar (address) and press the Enter key, as you type the url of a Web site to open a Web site.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.

In Firefox 3, you don't get the dialog "Save and exit" pop - up if you choose Firefox > Preferences > General > startup: "When Firefox starts": "show my windows and tabs from last time '.
Get the dialog "Save and exit" pop - up, to select one of the other options (display my home page, display a blank page).

  • An add-on to force firefox switch to the default search engine in the search bar

    Hello

I have a few search engines in the search bar of firefox. I find it extremely annoying that whenever I have change the search engine, that it stays like this, even after restarting firefox. Is there an add-on that would go to the one who is at the top of the list (which is my default for search engine being both navigation bar) whenever I restart the browser?

Let me give you an example: I use duckduckgo as a search engine by default in the search bar and navigation bar. Let's say I need to find a definition for which I use the wikipedia search engine. Then I go to wikipedia one. I disable the browser the next time I start firefox search engine that appears in the search bar is wikipedia and I would have preferred it to be duckduckgo.

    I hope that's not waves.

    see you soon,
    Omen

Easier is to put the default engine for search engine preferred via the user.js file in the Firefox profile folder by copying the line user_pref() related to this file.

The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

You can search the topic: config page for browser.search. to locate the pref (s) you need.

    • user_pref ("browser.search.defaultenginename", 'Google');

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder currently in use:

    • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory: see file (Linux: open the directory;) Mac: View in the Finder)
    • Create the folder chrome (lowercase) in the .default < xxxxxxxx > profile folder if the folder does not exist
    • Use a text editor such as Notepad to create a file user.js (new) in this folder (the names are case-sensitive)
    • Make sure that you select "All files" and not "text files" when you save the file via "save file as" in the text editor as user.js
Otherwise, Windows can add a hidden .txt file extension and you end up with one does not not user.js.txt file
  • How to configure Firefox tabs are on the lower line of the toolbar.

I use Firefox 16.0.1. The tabs for Firefox Windows are on the line on the right toolbar underneath the toolbar 'File/Edit/.../Tools/Help '. How can the function using customize, I set up Firefox so that the tabs for Firefox Windows are on the lower line toolbars?

From Firefox 16 (or 15, perhaps), the previous method of right click in one area of the toolbar and unchecking "Tabs on Top" has been deleted by developers. Now, this option appears only when the tabs are not on top. Then soon a you select the element "Tabs" at the top to move the tabs to the top, the item disappears from the context menu. I don't know the reasoning of the developer to change the way works this option. In my view, an easier way for users would be a checkbox in the Options > tabs for "tabs at the top.

Starting from Firefox 16 (or 15, perhaps), to move the tabs at the bottom of the toolbar (not ' On Top') area, you must change a preference using the topic: config.

    • Info on: configuration and usage - http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config
    • To change the option so that the tabs are not on the top, find the preference browser.tabs.onTop using about: config, and then double-click the preference, or do a right-click then choose turn on/off, change the falsevalue. (true = tabs on top, false = not on the top tabs)
  • Firefox keeps only 2 days History. I want to keep the past 50 days. I say Firefox in the Tools menu: options, but still, only 2 days.

If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access this page.

  • How to add "bookmark all tabs" to the menu of bookmarks in FF 4.0?

I've used this feature as every other minute or so... really... and I find it really less use right-click differentt for all common things.

Any way to get "To bookmark all tabs" back to my bookmarks menu? I'm not in the topic: config and I don't like the keyboard Alt option or the other. It worked so well and easy before... takes longer now.

I have this second also in the order of the menu open and I'd love to have opened again as a second tab in FF before 4.0... possible either... ?

PS - installation of Add-ons not an option for me. I have need of this return of just regular way to FF base.

    ?

    Thanks in advance!

Some menu entries are hidden by default and only appear if you use the keyboard to open the menu.

You can see the difference if you use Alt + F or Alt + B to open the menu 'File' and 'Favorites' and compare them to what see you if you use the mouse to open the menu after completing the bar menus visible by typing Alt or by pressing F10.

    • "To bookmark all tabs" (Shift + Ctrl + D) is no longer present in the menu bookmarks unless you open the bookmarks menu via the keyboard (Alt + B).
    • 'Bookmark this Page' is accessible through the context menu of the browser page.
    • "To bookmark all tabs" are available through the context menu of a tab on the tab bar.

Add code to userChrome.css below @namespace.

The first code makes only the entry "bookmark all tabs" visible.

The second code makes all the hidden menu entries visible.

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */
/* Always show "Bookmark All Tabs" in Bookmarks menu */
    #menu_bookmarkAllTabs {display:-moz-box!important}

/* show all hidden menu entries */
    #navigator-toolbox menuitem[class="show-only-for-keyboard"]{display:-moz-box!important}

  • This week, new tab FIrefox showed 9 small tiles. Right-click allowed up to 21 tiles. How can I get that back?

Earlier this week when I opened a new tab it suddenly showed my sites as small tiles rather than screenshots. Using the right click it allowed me to customize the page up to 7 tiles per line which saved me a lot of time. In the last hours when I opened a new tab it showed initially 9 screenshots and then open another tab with my custom sites. Suddenly, he turned to the screenshots only. How can I get the tiles to measure at the time when I opened a new tab?

Have you ever used an extension like Speed Dial?

You can set the number of rows and columns for the built-in function: newtab page via these prefs on the topic: config page.

    • Browser.newtabpage.Columns
    • Browser.newtabpage.Rows

You can open the topic: config page via the bar of address and you can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

See also this article on the page tab (topic: newtab):

  • New tab opens to the bad site

I seem to have been recently infected with Ask search engine

Everytime I open a new tab by default to this search engine. I want to reset so this new tab displays thumbnails of recently visited sites

I followed the instructions of your Support Web site using about: config and newtab but preference under browser.newtab.url looks correct on the subject: newtab

Yet the new tab always default to the search engine

How can I reset to the thumbnails?

    TKS

You can use the SearchReset extension to reset preferences to default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension runs only once and then uninstalls automatically, so it will not appear on the page "> Firefox Add-ons" (topic: addons).

You can open the topic: config page through the address bar and search Prefs that refer to ask.com.
You can restore the default user set prefs ("BOLD") via the context menu.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe
