I want to downgrade from windows 7 to windows Xp sp3
I have win 7 32 bit & need to downgrade win xp sp3 pls help
Usually, there is no method of downgrading to XP. You will need to "reformat" the computer with Windows XP.
Please note: you must first locate all the possible drivers of Windows XP you will need to: 'this computer', if they all are!

Vita windows downgrade to windows xp
I have Windows Vista (window professional vista OEMAct) so I want to Downgrade to Windows XP Vita, please provide GOLD key of Windows XP guideYou cannot "downgrade". The only way to switch to XP is to install XP to clean. Before you anything make sure that XP drivers are available from the manufacturer of your computer. If this isn't the case, stick with Vista.
Vista downgrade rights ended when Vista was removed from retail sales. In any case, they were available from the computer manufacturers.
Nobody is going to provide you with a XP product key. The only way to get a XP product key is to buy XP.
If you have a software, you need to run under XP, you can do so by using Microsoft Virtual PC 2007. However, you must provide your own copy of XP, including a product key.
You seem to think it's Microsoft. It is not the case. It is only a user forum hosted on Microsoft servers for the comfort of its customers. We are all just users here.

Want to downgrade from Windows 8 for Windows 7 on my g7-2325dx Notebook Pavilion
Hello:
First of all, make your W8 recovery media set before installing W7 64-bit. See the information below.
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03481733
Then, you must change a bios setting to install and continue to run W7 on your PC. See info below.
http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03736054
Once Windows 7 installed...
First install the Chipset Driver AMD. You want the 49.7 MB file.
http://support.AMD.com/en-us/download/chipset?OS=Windows 7-64
After you install the AMD chipset driver, you can use most of the W7 x 64 drivers for this model, except the wireless.
DO NOT USE ALL DOWNLOADS OF BIOS OR FIRMWARE FROM THIS LINK
I don't know what model of laptop wireless card has, then please do so that I can post the driver for the wireless card.
Or you can look in the category of network adapters in Windows 8 Device Manager and validate the model now.
Go to Device Manager and click on the network controller needing drivers.
Then click on the Details tab at the top of the control of the network window.
Now, you see a drop-down list of property and it is set by default to the Description of the unit.
Drop down on it and select the second item in the list (Hardware ID).
After the first string of characters that start with PCI\VEN

* original title - replaced with win7 winxp. have xp updated but will not be installed with win7. How to make xp back on computer
Hi Allen,.
You will not be able to install XP on Win 7 using the upgrade disc. You will require your original operating system disk and you will have to boot from the OS installation disc, once installed you can use the disk to upgrade XP on this operating system. Another way is out to install your system disk and the boot of Winxp.
I hope this helps.

Portege Z930 - Downgrade from Windows 8 for Windows 7
Hi all
I have serious problems with my new laptop Portege Z930-138. I wanted to downgrade from Win8 to Win7 and transferred my old iso of Win7 on a bootable USB.
I changed the BIOSsetting CMS BIOS in order to boot from USB and it worked.
But later, I deleted all partitions on my HARD drive in order to have a primary partition where to install my old Win7.However I can't do!
Now I have 1 GB 119.1 unallocated space and there is no way to create a new partition from it.
Also when I try to install Win7 it says the disc's style GPT.I also tried to convert it from the command prompt, but it does not work.
You guys have any ideas what to do?

Satellite C850D - Downgrade from Windows 8
I have a Satellite C850D, which was shipped with Windows 8. I want this downgrade to Windows 7. I have a Windows 7 DVD, but when I try and install it I get is an error message indicating that there is an error with one of the startup files.
Is it possible to install Windows 7 on a computer that came with Windows 8, and how to remove the OEM of Windows 8 version and replace it with Windows 7.
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
Sean
Hi Sean
Yes, it is possible to install Windows 7 and other systems. But this requires some changes in the BIOS.
You must disable secure boot and go the CSM UEFI.
As far as I know after changing two options, you should be able to boot from the Windows disc. -
Downgrade from Windows 7 to Windows Vista
Hello
I want to ask something about the downgrade from Windows 7 to Windows Vista Edition Home Premium!
My laptop is Satellite L510. When I bought it, it came with Windows Vista Home Premium as its OS so I already created a recovery disk.
Now, if I update to Windows 7 and if I want to downgrade to window Vista... often I just use this recovery disc to format to Windows Vista everything as before?Because they do not have the Windows Vista installation disk when I bought this laptop.
And I want to ask now the window Vista already got a healthy recovery partition in my right HDdrive? If I update to Windows 7 then did the Window Vista healthy recovery partition is still there, or only the restore disc that I create before you reformat Windows Vista Home Premium box? Thanks to all who try to answer my question!
All new laptops are shipped without DVD upgraders and everyone must create one. This is why Toshiba has designed small Creator called Toshiba Recovery tool. With this tool you can create recovery DVDs and use them for the installation of the OS more far.
Whenever when you use, you'll have to factory settings and it will be like on the first day when launch you for the first time.
When you have this recovery media, you can do whatever you want and, of course, install Win7 with HARD drive. One day, when you want to have Vista again just use created recovery DVD and you will have factory again.
When you bought your laptop recovery image was recorded on the second partition of HARD drive in the folder called HDDRecovery. This image can be used to install Vista with the factory only settings. When you install Win7 these files can no longer be used and Vista must be installed from recovery created DVDs.

Pavilion laptop laptop 15-ab158nb: downgrade from windows 10 for windows 7
Hello, I bought a laptop for computer laptop 15-ab158nb with 10 windows installed
I like windows7 more (I'm used to) and you want to downgrade to windows 7
I am looking for the hp support site and they only drivers for windows 10
-that someone tried this with success
Thank you
Rudi
Before you change or change anything, please create your personal HP recovery media.
You'll need a new copy of Windows 7 64-bit with a Microsoft COA and a figure of 25 unused/valid key PID from Microsoft. Windows 7 DVD may not work properly on UEFI-based systems, this is why you may need to create a FAT32 UEFI USB Windows 7 for Windows 7 installation key to install correctly.
You will need to DISABLE "Secure Boot" and ENABLE "Legacy Support" in the "Configuration of the BIOS start-up secure" on the settings page similar to what is shown below, until you try to install Windows 7.
After you save the changes, the computer may ask that you confirm the changes... Accept the changes by typing the four digit code and press the ENTER"" key.
After installing Windows 7, you will need to install any drivers necessary before being fully functional. Most of the Windows 7 drivers on the page of software and the driver HP Pavilion Notebook-15z ab000 CTO - should work on your computer. Please do not use any BIOS or Firmware from this page.
Thanks for posting (text only) Windows Device Manager "Hardware ID" for all the remaining of the missing and/or unknown devices, as shown in the example below, and we can direct you to the correct drivers.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

I just branch a refurbished HP 15-AB044SA comes with preinstalled Windows 8.1. I'm not a fan of the operating system and want to downgrade to windows 7. Could you please guide me to the decommissioning?
And I have the same funcitionality in the laptop running Windows 7 as Windows 8.1? Is it possible to keep the same license OS currently on the laptop?
Thanks in advance,
Mario R
If the reason why you don't like Win8x is the lack of a desktop and start menu, consider downloading and installing ClassicShell. This will give the look-and-feel of Win7 back - and it's FREE!
As for Win7, there are drivers HP to Win7 for your PC: http://support.hp.com/gb-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-15-Notebook-PC-series/7771366/model/8255011
If this page does not display Win7 when you open it, then click on edit and select Windows 7 from the menu drop down.
As for the feature, Yes, you will have the same functionality in Win7 you have in Win8x - just a different user interface.
There is no 'path of decommissioning' to Win7. Instead, you'd have to do is to boot from Win7 installation media and install it on top of Win8. This means that you will lose all existing applications, the parameters and the data of the user in the process.
NO, we do not keep or use the same license. Your PC came with HP OEM Win8 preinstalled, and that's what the license is for. To install Win7, you will need to buy it and then activate it by using the product key that you receive with the purchase. You can't buy this at HP, because he's not selling copies of Win7.
But what you CAN do is to check with the HP customer service and see if they will sell you HP to Win7 for your PC recovery media. It would cost much less go out and buy a copy of Win7 retail.
If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1
If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html
Good luck

Can I downgrade from Windows 7 Starter to Windows XP Professional
QUESTIONS: 1) can I demote a machine Win7 Starter purchased through package of retail full license, never installed, XP Pro OS? Assume that both are 32-bit. I was thinking of buying one of these netbooks cheap in Walmart stores that are Windows 7 upgrade option to Windows 8 (which I do not wish to use), and experiment. If Win7 is proving to be as disastrous as I wait, I want to install a new copy of the new detail of full XP Pro including Service Pack 3 (which has never been installed on any computer), to downgrade from Windows 7. I've never used in triplicate. The machine is Acer Aspire One with Windows 7 Starter edition, on sale at Walmart for only $228. They have other editions of Windows, I could buy instead, if the Starter Edition is not eligible for a downgrade.2) do you anticipate problems of license? Do not talk about compatibility, as that varies depending on the machine. It's just that the installation with MS products is always also annoying complicated and always associated with a licensing problem. I can't guess at what these problems are, they are never what I expect. Where the question.Backstory: I am wary of XP Professional updating to Windows 7, due to the many people experience incompatibilities. I ran the Win7 Upgrade Advisor, and he has not yet detected what third-party software was running on my machine in his analysis, other than common programs of MS and stuff from the internet. So I have ZERO faith it will be compatible with my XP software current and material, so 32-bit (which I use now), or 64-bit (which one of my machines can take in charge, but instead, 32-bit XP Prof OS is installed and running). It cost me about $100K of my time to switch to XP, in 2005; I just went through two own XP installed on two of my other machines. Recovery was not possible. Cost me three months of my life, these facilities. Wouldn't do it again. It is unnecessarily complex. So I have to check the effectiveness of Win7. And if she is not enough justify using, as I hope - I have a lot of detail that new (well, once again) never used XP Professional OS bought in a store, that I can use to downgrade. ("not OEM, not upgrade or academic, etc. so the full XP license is valid for each packet.) I understand very well that support ends in April 2014 and don't care if it stops. What I care about is running my business that threatens to Win7, because it changes the interface and eliminates a bunch of features that have been very productive in XP Pro.Of course, my impressions have not been tested on a live installation. ERGO this post. For me, it's a $100,000 decision, because it is the cost of my time if I deploy Win7. Sorry for ranting, but I need to explain the reasons for downgrading in context. Thank you for your time!I guess I do not understand you. If you have a version of Xp retail packaging, you can install it on any computer you want. Nothing MS or anyone else can say about it.
As others have noted you might encounter a driver for some of your hardware problem is not not compatible wth Xp. The only way to know for sure, or I should say the best way, is to install Xp and discover.
If it was me I would make sure that the computer has a restore disk or a partition to reinstall Win 7 if Xp didn't work. If none of those who were present I would clone the drive hard while Win 7 was still about this. Better safe than sorry.
Finally, I would make sure that I got a usb Ethernet card so that you could make sure you have the ability to connect when the net card driver was not installed with Xp...

Downgrade from Windows 8 question
I have no idea where to start and this site everything is confusing, so I'll just post my problem and hope someone answers. I bought a new Dell Inspiron Ultrabook 14 "last year and am just opening upward to to use. Originally, it came with Windows 7 Home Premium. I thought it was the original software because that's what I asked and they told me came with it. This is what was on it when I got it. In any case, I discovered that the original was installed software Windows 8. When I had to restore it to zero, so I contacted Dell for the original installation software. Now I have a new installation of Windows 8 and hate it, don't want it, and my main programs do not work with it. So I need to go back to Windows 7 Home Premium. What version of Windows 7 Home Premium can I buy to get the correct installation CD? I don't want a download. I want a real CD with the software on it. I have 64 bit system, and everything is now about this is a new installation of Windows 8. What is the number of real software for the version that I need to get? I GFC-00019, but want to confirm that it is correct before buy you. I'm quite familiar with computers, and I think I can do a facility to decommission this NOTE from the ADMIN: profanity removed according to the TOU > Windows 8 and get out of my face, she doesn't want to buy the wrong version. Can I downgrade from Windows 7 Ultimate to Home Premium?
I've upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate Windows Home Premium through the Windows Anytime Upgrade. But I want to downgrade again. I can do this. Please suggest me how to do?
Please note that you can not perform a "downgrade" from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 7 Home Premium. You perform a "clean installation" of Windows 7 Home Premium using your Windows 7 Home Premium original DVD or recommended by the manufacturer of your computer method of recovery/reinstallation of Windows 7 Home Premium. Please list the steps. It was not a recent change.
Hello Meade,
Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.
Thank you for details on the issue.
I also like the fact you want to downgrade to Windows 8 to 7.
Your downgrade Windows 8 an earlier version of Windows depends as well on Windows 8 version you have and the method by which you got Windows 8. Not all editions of Windows provide downgrade rights. If you have right to demotion and decide to use them, you continue to keep the licence and the rights of use for your original version and can 'upgrade' to the rear at any time.
I suggest you to refer to this article and check if it helps.

BIOS change / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.I strongly recommend that you back up all your important files and folders on an external storage device before performing any type of BONE repair, upgrade, downgrade, or resettlement. You may lose all the programs installed, you may need to reinstall.
