I want to install Win XP on Vista on Qosmio G40 - 10F - need drivers
Hello
I have a Qosmio G40-10th which has Windows Vista.
I want to switch to Windows XP but worry about what drivers I need and where can I get them?
Also, I wonder if XP installation means that I would be able to use the Vista recovery disk I got with the Qosmio.
Any help is very appreciated,
Kind regards

Hello
Go to the Toshiba driver page:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
And check if you have the drivers for win xp for your model, otherwise, it will be useless to install it.
For my laptop, I installed Vmware with windows xp inside environment.

I want to install Win XP on Satellite A305-S6905
Hello.
I want to downgrade my Vista to XP because of problems and slow down my PC...
For example I can't download updates antivirus, games etc...I read in the forum that I need some kind of sata drivers and those I can do myself, but someone can help me with other drivers because I use this laptop for an hour and I know not what drivers there need.
If someone could give me links to the necessary software, I would be very grateful.
Thank you.
Hello
I think that you couldn't find the right drivers XP because you didn t find on the right-hand page.
Like you probably n t know that this series of laptop (Satellite A305) belongs to Toshiba from US and you have to find good drivers on Toshiba U.S. page!
http://www.toshibadirect.com/TD/B2C/home.toIn addition, if you want to install Win XP on laptop thin, you will need to install the SATA drivers first.
The SATA drivers are on Intel Storage Manager part which can be downloaded from the Intel and Toshiba page page as well. But if you don t want to install SATA drivers, there is another possibility to install the XP.
Just access the BIOS and set the compatible SATA to AHCI mode. That s it.

I want to install WIN 7 on my Dell XP computer. The disc I bought says that the hard disk must be clean first. The disc does not start on the existing XP. How can I do this?
Hello
Have you changed the boot order?
You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order and boot from the Windows 7 DVD:
How to change the Boot order in BIOS:
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm
Do install a cleaning, removal of the existing XP partition and create a new partition to install 7 on in the own installation process:

- Since then, the win 7 pro is preinstalled, so how do I access the product key?
- What if I want to install win 8.1 pro on the same machine - product one key method to do?

The instructions in the same article shows you how to restore the image if you need to do:
http://www.notebooks.com/2009/10/24/how-to-backup-your-installation-of-Windows-7/
One of the things that I recommend you do so after creating the system image is to change the name of the computer to something else, so if you decide to create another backup system image, it's not too write the original. You can use this even as a method for having multiple images of different systems.

I want to install Win 7 Pro 64 bytes on Win 7 Pro 32 bytes.
I want to install Win 7 Pro 64 bytes on Win 7 Pro 32 bytes. I would lose my Microsoft Office 2007 and files, 3rd party software. If so is there a way to save them? How can I backup my Outlook pst. file? Is that all I have to do it before I try it?
You cannot go directly from the 32-bit to 64-bit. The best thing to do would be to create a new partition and install the 64-bit version in that. You will have access to the data on the partition of 32 bits, but will need to install your applications in the 64 bit one.
Good luck.

How can I install Win XP on Vista on a Satellite A200-1YO
How to install raid/scsi drivers and get rid of Vista for good?
You will need
-1 USB external floppy drive
-2 diskettes
-1 set of drivers for the hard disk on the computer
-a legal copy of windows xp proWHAT TO DO WITH THE DISKS.
COPY THE DRIVERS DON'T CUT AND PASTE
-get DISC 1 and place the required disk drivers, they did not all folders
-get DISC 2 and make a folder called $OEM$ and in that folder make another called TEXTMODE then in this folder insert the drivers you have in disc 1Installation of the drivers and windows xp pro
-When windows asks you press F6 to install the raid drivers press F6
- then enter the floppy drive DISK1
-When it prompts you to press "s" to install the raid and storage controllers...
-Press "s" again and press enter on the same raid driver, you just tell windows to use
-windows will then say that he already has drivers for the raid controller
-Press the button appropriate to tell windows you want it to use own disks instead of windows drivers
-After loading drivers remove the disk
-Wait for windows to ask you once again the drivers then insert DISC 2
- and finally, windows install vista WENT you need drivers for any hardware of your computer system, but they should be easy to get from the manufacturers websiteI used this method and it worked with a Toshiba laptop satellite a200 1yo with no problems
Please leave comments to let other users know how you got and to show that it works.

Hello
If you want to install Xp on your computer, you must change the Sata controller in the Bios, Compatible, otherwise, you will encounter a blue screen during the installation. It is because of AHCI drivers after installation, you can download and install Storage Manager and return to AHCi mode in the Bios. You can also integrate them Windows disk.

I want to install SP1 for windows vista 32 bit.
Original title: we must install ps1 for windows vista 32 bit.
I tried to download it, but I'm not. What can I do?
Hello
You mean SP1?
Click Start > right click on computer > left click on properties > see if you have Vista 32 bit or Vista 64-bit installed.
It will also tell you here what Service Packs, if any, are already installed.
Then, choose the download of 'bit' OK to use to install Service Packs, first of all the installation of SP1.
Vista SP1 32-bit (x 86): http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30
Vista SP1 64-bit: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=21299
Vista SP2 32-bit (x 86): http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=16468
Vista SP2 64-bit: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17669
And if you have any problems:
There is a Forum that Microsoft has put in place for problems with Vista Service Packs. If repost you the Forum they will definitely try to help you here...

See you soon.

Unable to install Win XP Pro on the Qosmio X 300
Is it possible to install XP Pro on my Qosmio X 300.
I tried to install it but now luck.I could format the HARD drive and then install or what I have to do something with the Bios.
FrankOf course, you can install Win XP on this laptop.
Can I ask you if you have already created a Toshiba Recovery DVD?
I guess you laptop supports the recovery of HARD drive and no drives have been provided with this device.
Before to format the HARD drive, you must create a recovery DVD using the Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.Furthermore, I believe that you are not able to install XP because the SATA driver were not included in your Win XP operating system.
Well, on some laptops you can disable the SATA AHCI in the BIOS and could spend in compatible mode. This would install the Win XP without a SATA driver.
But this option is not available on all models of laptops. You need to check this first. Finally, I must say that this topic has been discussed a lot of time here in the forum. Maybe not specifically in the forum of Qosmio X but in the other forum and the SATA installation procedure is the same on all laptops.
So look for a little -

Hello
Of course you can install Windows 7 on this laptop why not?
Even if Win 7 32-bit drivers are not released on the European driver Toshiba page, you could install this OS.
Most devices use the same drivers. For example, you can check out 32-bit drivers for X 300 series.
If you can check as well

I need the Touchpad, support button, pilot wi - fi and some else? I can't have this driver on Toshiba support. Can you help my end of this drivers and maybe more?
P.S Sorry for my English: P I am Polish and I speak very well English.
Normally for the touchpad you n t need a driver. This works because the mouse driver is part of the operating system.
However, t readers, you can find the Toshiba site you need to search on external Web sites.
Also look on the WIFI and Bluetooth in Toshiba Portal:

I couldn't find a driver for my laptop vista. Can I use F30 drivers for my laptop F20?
Thank you
Hello
Of course, you can try to install the drivers of Qosmio F30 but the question is: drivers Vista F30 will work?
I think you should be able to install Vista on your F20.
But you will not be able to use the additional features of Toshiba Toshiba controls, keys FN, etc.PS: I found very beautiful thread in the Qosmio G20 section.
Some of the guys discussed about Vista on the G20. Now for the G20 Vista drivers are not available, but FranciscoJr has handled this problem.
