  I want to distribute a SWF file to run on computers, not the internet.  However, I want to be able to access the internet through a link that is controlled by a button.  This used to work, now I get a security warning telling me that I need to change the settings on my computer.  For obvious reasons, I don't want anyone running the SWF to have to do that!

  1. keep tapping F8 during the first phase of startup.
  2. select Repair from the menu.
  3. Select an administrator account, and then enter its password.
  4. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
  5. set Windows to a point before this problem occurred.

• CS3 - run browser swf

  I have a SWF that uses actionscript 3.0 for drag-and - drop images, buttons that run video clips and manage the display list. It works perfectly when I run it directly (i.e., double-click the swf file), but I want to publish it on the web - so I used File-> publish to create the necessary html file, but when I run in a browser (I've only tried IE) the initial screen looks perfect, but none of the features buttons and drag-and - drop works. Also, when I run the swf using file-> publish preview, it does not exactly in the same way, if I choose HTML, but works perfectly if I choose Flash.
  I created a version purified of the FLA (see code below) to try to isolate the problem, and the behavior is exactly the same. I enclose files swf and html for the stripped-down version.
  Any ideas?

  It is a decision that was made by Apple.  El Capitan is the newest OSX that will support a 2009 MBP.

  This is not uncommon.  My 2006 MBP came with Tiger, but is limited to OSX Snow Leopard.

  Old hardware ends up by becoming obsolete with newer technology.
