I was not able to get Microsoft Security Essentials to work.
After I installed Windows 7 Pro, I did have much of chance things will work properly or even to make the computer recognize the hardware, etc... But my biggest concern is that I have not been able to get Microsoft Security Essentials to work. I was not able to remove the non-working existing out of my system M.S.E.... I would greatly appreciate any good suggestions... Thank you

Check that you have removed all other anti-malware real-time products that were already installed on your PC, including free products / trial that were installed when the PC was purchased (Norton, McAfee, TM, AVG, OneCare, Malware bytes (paid), etc.).
Note: If you use more than one antivirus or antispyware program at the same time, your PC may know a decrease in performance, become unstable, or restart unexpectedly. Before you install Microsoft Security Essentials, or if you want to solve problems with Microsoft Security Essentials, including the update of issues, you must first completely remove your PC Internet security programs.

Please keep us updated on the status of the issue.
I suggest you try the following steps and check if it helps.
a. you restart, and then press F8 after the bios screen comes up to bring up the windows boot options menu.
b. Select "safe mode with command prompt" and press ENTER.
(c) in the command prompt, type del c:\windows\system32\msiexec.exe and press ENTER.
d. restart the computer and make sure that the Windows Installer service is set to automatic and started.
e. try to install the Microsoft security essentials again.

How can I get Microsoft Security Essentials antivirus security?
After another year of Norton 360, I got the stupid games of Symantec, tired of the ot, uninstalled and downloaded Microsoft Security Essentials. I restarted my computer (Dell Dimension 8200 running Windows XP Pro 2002). After that, I ran services.msc impatiently as my program of service to show that my antivirus security worked and I had nothing to fear. Imgine my grief when my service center reported that my computer was always subject to viruses, worms, Trojan horses and other forms of malware. I thought, perhaps, I had reduced the activity of some vital download too quickly and, therefore, have prevented a good download. So I tried again, this time with a lot more patience... This time, I received a message that the program was already on my computer, asking if I wanted to replace it with the new download. Because the first time I acted in a hurry, I replied that I tried the second download try replacing the Lerna, this time with a lot more patience. There is no apparent change that showed the Security Center: no protection against the virus. How can I get Microsoft Security Essentials to act as my antivirus program and my Security Center to recognize it as such?

Glad to hear thiings are better. Do not forget to chek that MSE will automatically update the definitions that every 24-48 hours and regular tests are carried out. Also suggest that you go to settings > default Actions and change to quarantine all. don't forget to 'Save changes'. This is recommended to avoid problems such as potentially unwanted programs and the removal of the odd false positive.
You are definitely not alone in your skepticism about Norton and other paid for antimalware solutions.

I would use microsoft security essentials, but currently norton on my new processor. The trial version is over so I am currently unprotected. I don't understand how to go to add/remove programs and uninstall. Last time, I uninstalled a program of security, he seemed to randomly take important files with it. all of a sudden a few weeks ago, I can't have on firefox. It crashes immediately on startup every time anything and journalist accident happens. I studied all the articles and followed their suggestions. I installed the latest version of firefox and still get the same results. I can't even open firefox in safe mode. I don't ' know what else to try and really need my favorite browser back and all my favorites and passwords...
Since I exhausted all angles throughout January and early February, I can't really identify what makes the difference, but today... IT WORKS NOW! Firefox has been removed from my computer for a few weeks now, so with renewed determination I searched all single folder on my entire hard drive and found 3 random files with mozilla or any part of the word inside mozilla and erased. I turned off the computer and restarted a few hours later. I downloaded firefox 10 (still higher version than the one I was updating of a month) from google chrome and installed it. so thank you for your comments and help!

Qosmio-F750-10N and Win8.1 - were not able to get the right BT drivers

Since upgrading my HARD drive and installing Windows 8 (.1), I was not able to get the right drivers for my Qosmio F750-10N Bluetooth.
If I go through the section of drivers download site, the drop-down boxes of language and the region appear to be defective, so it shows me all the drivers.
Tried to install a Toshiba Bluetooth stack generic but it doesn't seem to be able to recognize my Bluetooth device. Also tried to go through the Atheros website without much luck.
Please could someone help or maybe post a link to a download mirror.

First of all, it seems that the 8.1 win is not supported for Qosmio F750.
So I might be difficult to operate BTHowever, AFAIK the Qosmio F750-10N was equipped with an Atheros AR9285 Wifi/BT card.
This means that a single module shares the WiFi network and BT and you need to install the Atheros BT filter driver.
Next to the BT filter installed, must install the driver of Toshiba system to win 8.1
The pilot of this system must be installed before the filter of BT driver.But like I said: 8.1 win is not supported for this Qosmio unit and you won't find drivers Win 8.1 download section in the driver F750.
But you should try the drivers released for the other, more recent Qosmio series; i.e. X 870
