This means that you will get the .NET Framework 2.0 SP2, 3.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1 and 3.5 SP1 post bugs corrections. 3.0 SP2 and 3.5 SP1 can be added or removed via the Control Panel programs and features. Update for Windows Driver Framework Version 1.11 for Windows Vista
I already posted a comment/question and answer regarding the update above.
Like MANY others who have difficulty with this update could not Support Microsoft people come out of their hole "hidey" and we give information on exactly what is causing this problem?
It would seem that the solutions that have been posted to try to solve the problem have failed and it is a constant problem.
Also it seems that the solutions are very convoluted and problematic with a comment "to proceed at your own risk!
This update appeared on my screen every day and produces every DAY to download this update, which tells me that curiously his was successful, but when I check by looking at the history update failed. My machine is then blocked so that it resets.
VERY FRUSTRATING.
Now Windows 'experts' make it work on this update that I can't believe it's a defect on the computers of users, but is a problem at the end of Windows.
Please respond quickly to this concern, the support of Windows, by contacting me directly.
Thank you
Fact: Important updates are not necessarily related to security.
Reality: Microsoft offers support for security updates only.
Fact: as the Windows Driver Framework Version 1.11 updates are NOT updates of security, Microsoft does NOT support at no cost for them.

My windows Vista (sp2) contains updates it refuses to install!
(1) Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on Windows (KB2468871)(2) update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (KB2533523)and(3) update for Microsoft Silverlight (KB2617986) this update of Silverlight includes the fixes described in KBs 2604930 and 2617986.When I tried to get help via the MS support, I was told that my install Silverlight could be the problem and uninstall all previous versions and install a new one.The current version on my machine is 3. something or other (Google Chrome me briefly earlier, but I can't seem to tell me yet again!) He also pointed out that the current version is 5. something or other. However, I don't know--according to the functionality of uninstall in Control Panel - my version was installed on 21/01/2010 - about 7 months after I got the satellite (a Toshiba). It occurs to me - as it has been ongoing for awhile I fought first to make this thing work and then ignore it (neither of which, it seems, I am able of!)-update Windows is trying to apply can be updated too!According to the update of Windows, all three of these updates have downloaded - but I am not sure where... When I tried to uninstall the old version of Silverlight, Windows Uninstall (via Control Panel) tells me that I need the Silverlight installation disc to go ahead. I've never had one! What can I do? Why these upgrades do not work? It has been for months! Help, please.ColinHello

They will continue to offer Windows updated for Windows 8?
I was wondering if MS will always have updates for Windows 8. I have not updated to 8.1 and have noticed that I didn't update for a month. Anyone know if they are to stop these completely updates?
Thank you
In fact, this should answer your question, unless by updates, you're talking about something completely different from Windows updates?
If you look at the chart I posted, you can see updates for Windows 8 (NOT 8.1) are ending January 9, 2018. Updates to 8.1 are ending January 10, 2023.
Kind regards

Subsequently, it says full but in no time the Exact same shield updates pop-up again as needing to be installed again. Why?Norton was the original installation that came on the machine, but I removed that before starting the use of Trend Micro about 3 years ago

1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe
2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).
3. double-click on the file that you saved in #1 above to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.
4. now to reset Windows Update via the difficulty it here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058
TIP: Run the difficulty in default and aggressive mode.
5 restart once again & test (see, for example, if Windows Update offers KB975560 and KB977914 after their installation once again, if you are prompted to do so).
