I would go back to Firefox 40.0.2. 40.0.3 ruined functionality of eBay. Can no longer respond to any offers or go to stores or even disconnection.

Since I've just updated to Firefox 40.0.3 I can sign is no longer on (or in I guess) eBay.ca or eBay.com. I can't bid on things. I can't buy things more. The links just won't go there now. I really want to go back to the 40.0.2 version as it WORKED. What the hell did you do to this new. eBay is useless now and I have a number of things that need to be paid for.

I was able to remedy this by saving the Mozilla folder in the "Application Data" (which, as it turns out that didn't need to do this after all). Then, I uninstalled Firefox 40.0.3 and reinstalled Firefox 40.0.2. Now features eBay works again. Able to sign in and out. Buy things. Bid on things. I don't know what were these small changes in the new version, but they TOTALLY VISSE eBay. So I hope you come out with a better update that only that. I made sure my Java and anything else (Flash) was also aware and it did not help. By doing this, it is pretty obvious that the update has been the problem and nothing else.

  • From the updated version I can no longer connect to any site through firefox including it. Off blockers, etc. but no go. I'm on EI to the question

As the question stated that the last update, I can't connect to a site including the support of modzilla, my email if thunderbird or sound. I use IE to be able to do. I hate IE this is why I normally use Firefox. I firstly close all blockers, etc., but it does not help. Ghostery is no longer watch what trackers found it - just a blank page.

So, how a (plain English please) of the Nations United-to do an update?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (button '3-bar' menu or tools-> Modules-> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.

    • Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or tools-> modules-> appearance
    • Do NOT click on the button "Refresh Firefox" on the start window Mode safe

You can try the following steps in case of problems with web pages:

  • I want to go back to Firefox than Firefox 32 31. How can I do this?

I found that Firefox 32 is not compatible with the theme of Windows 7 desktop that I currently use (high contrast white theme). I tabled this question like a bug on Bugzilla site, but until they get this issue fixed, I want to go back to Firefox 31.

    My questions are:
    1. what I have to uninstall Firefox 32 first, or can I just install Firefox 31 on 32 of Firefox?
    2. get lost (or ruining) my settings of Firefox by doing this?
    3. where can I get Firefox 31?
    4. is there a way I can stop the automatic updates of Firefox does not happen and instead get a prompt?

Thanks for any information, that anyone can give on this subject.

Because the latest versions of Firefox contain the latest security patches, old versions of Firefox may have security or functionality problems. For this reason, we do not recommend downgrade your version of Firefox.

If you want despite any downgrade Firefox, you can download any version of Firefox from here.

Can I ask you why you're decommissioning?

Now, the answers to your questions:

    1. You should be able to simply install Firefox 31.0 and should replace version 32.0.
    2. Your settings should stay the same, however, I would recommend your application data backup in case something goes wrong.
    3. See above
    4. This setting can be changed partners to automatic updates can be found under the tab 'Advanced' from the Options window
  • I need to go back to Firefox V 26

For some reason any Firefox itself upgraded to V 26 without my permission and went ahead and disabled my Norton Toolbar. I'm never updating Firefox until I know that Norton Toolbar is supported. Please can someone tell me what version I need that fully supports Norton Toolbar and how I roll back to it? Thank you

Thank you very much for your answers.

I had to go to the Norton support and they uninstalled Firefox then reinstalled. Which corrects the problem.

I kept saying I don't seem to have the latest version of Norton Toolbar, but would not be updated until after that Firefox was uninstalled and then reinstalled.

Mind you, they've lost my favorites that we finally managed to return.

I now work with Norton Toolbar from Firefox.

  • can I go back to firefox 6

I seem to be in the beta channel. I think for my busy lifestyle, having too many problems of incompatibility with Add ons and extensions. I don't have time to keep the conclusion and the expectation of new solutions and improvements of your developers. I have installed Firefox 7 and lost only add ons that I would rather still.

    1. can I just go back to firefox 6.3.4 or everywhere where I was

2 should I switch to some channels of "slower" upgrade, and where can I find it?

Do NOT take the option to delete settings (or however it's worded), which removes the profile with bookmarks and passwords etc of all installed versions of Firefox.

If you go to the regular installation/download page, it will offer you a copy of Firefox 6 http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/fx/?from=getfirefox

Simply download and run the installer, it will leave your bookmarks etc where they are and need to install the existing addons. (You may need to re-enable some, but he'll probably try to make him) He has to change the preference so that you are on the channel output rather than on the beta channel.
The best way to check is help-> about Firefox that should no longer say you're on the beta channel

Some mirrors must have removed beta 8, it will be available here - ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/4.0b8/mac/

I keep changing my homepage from Yahoo, but it keeps going back to Firefox Homepage each time that I open it again my browser.

It's strange. You have a program named Advanced SystemCare? Some users have reported that it has a function of protection of homepage that you should turn off in order to change your home page.

If that does not apply to your system, could you review this support article and see if anything here helps you: How to fix preferences that will not save.

  • I would limit the window to the same size as my site... How can I do this in Firefox?

I would limit the window to the same size as my site... How can I do this in Firefox?

Sorry, this is not possible more in Firefox, with the exception of the pop-up windows that opens a website, and which can be overridden by the user with a simple preference setting in the Options.

Users cannot change or set the window size in their own browser from the URL bar any longer, they do so through the notebook in the Web Developer menu under the Firefox button.

  • How can I place a STOP button on my toolbar. I would like to stop firefox from loading a page by pressing the STOP button, but I can't find it in the toolbar options.

How can I place a STOP button on my toolbar. I would like to stop firefox from loading a page by pressing the STOP button, but I can't find it in the toolbar options.

First of all, if you have the menu bar show. (File-Edit-View-History-Bookmarks-Tools-Help), then you won't see the orange FireFox button because in the new version of FireFox button replaces the menu bar. You can believe that's the way you want by clicking on 'View', then place your cursor over "Toolbars" and check or uncheck menu bar. If you have the display on menu bar, click on 'View' then drag down to "Toolbars", then descend to the right and go to 'customize '; a click on it. Then, when the next screen appears, even if 'Reload' is not displayed on this topic, it appears somewhere upwards in your toolbar. (Mine was above the Google search box). Put your cursor on it and drag-and - drop to the left of your address bar. The "Stop" button should be left more than the button 'recharge' in order to get two separate buttons for these tasks. If the 'Reload' button is further to the left, then you get a single button that performs the tasks at the same time. I hope this helps.
