  Use the add-on Manager to remove the toolbar 1. Click on the menu button (upper right corner) and choose Add-ons. Open the tab of the Add-ons Manager. 2. in the tab of the Add-ons Manager, select the Extensions Panel. 3.   Try the following steps:

  a. connect to the Internet.

  b. open Windows Media Player.

  c. click on the Library tab, and then go to the album you want to resolve.

  d. right click on the album and then click on Find Album Info.

  e. If you get an error message that says you must change your privacy settings before you can update media information, follow these steps: click on the Tools menu, click Options, click the Privacy tab, and then clear music update files by retrieving the news media from the Internet check box. Then, in the library, repeat the previous step.

  We were all new at one point, so don't worry what you know.  Win 8 is compatible with all previous OS.  It supports C++, and depends on your video card supports DIrectX 9, 10 and 11.

  The only thing that doesn't come with win 8 (and since you bought it, it may already be installed) is windows media player.

  What exactly are you trying to do, or can you give us more information for we can help you better?
