  Recently, I had a HARD drive failure very unhappy. The recovery partition is not even load. I tried to boot my laptop with Linux with the HARD drive always attached, and it would not read. I pulled the HARD drive and placed in a box drive HARD and he would not yet be supported on Windows XP or Vista or 7. However, it would read in Windows Device Manager as well as in the BIOS.

  I need to extract some data priority there so I managed to recover all my data safe with a data recovery service, but now the drive is rendered useless.   1. if you have (or can borrow) an installation disc Windows 7 at retail which is exactly the same version as your OEM installation - IE if your laptop comes with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit it is the version of exact details you need.

  If the laptop is one of the well known brands, he may well have a restore partition.  If you do not have a manual to the user of this computer, then go to the manufacturers website and look for the documentation.  At the very least, you should be able to find information about how to restore the laptop from the recovery partition.

  If the restore partition has been decimated, the manufacturer may still have available for a nominal cost of installation diskettes.

  You did not say what service pack you have installed, but I guess not SP3. Try to upgrade to SP3 and then try again.

  The difference between the free version and the Premium version, which is the last runs continuously in the background ("scheduled update and scanning, the safer our real-time Protection Module. ...
