I would like to set up my new sat nav device drive on windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 (Build 2600) 5.1. What program I need to host his files?
The device is a NAVIGON 70 Premium Plus. When I tried to install it on my computer, the files are automatically placed in a very old version of Adobe, which was be languishing on my computer (Adobe Photoshop album Starter Edition 3.0) which is no longer supported. I wonder if there is a compatible Windows program that exists which will host the sat. NAV files. If it does not exist, then I would advice on this programmed I should have. I'm not very savvy computer if you need help in English.
Hi marie200642,
I suggest you try to restore the device and check if it helps. Support team for the restoration of the device, I suggest you contact the NAVIGON.

I have 2 computers running Windows Xp Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3. I tried to run a set-up/repair on one of them. He loaded the files and went back to the stage of the installation. He said at this point, it takes the file 'ASMS' of the S3CD.
I copied the ASMS from the other computer files on my USB but the computer being the establishment does not recognize them. The program disks that I bought with the computers at the same time say XP Home Editiion 2002 version, but nothing about service pack 3.What I need to know is if sp3 is the same for the home edition as it is for regular XP and is different ASMS files in the installation of the sp3 that they are in the House editiion. If I buy the sp3 disc or download these files I will be able to complete the installation of the set-up/repair on my computer or is there perhaps something wrong with the device causing it to do what he did.
I am also curios - running installation of set-up/repair on this subject, I lost all my files or will they preserved when I've completed the process? If I lost my files I before moving on to Windows 7 or any other OS that supports available further in the future?
Any help/information will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Hi RandyMeier,Service Pack 3 files will be different than the normal installation files. It would be useful to an original CD of Service Pack 3 for installation. There is an article that you can follow before that and check if it helps. If you are using a clean installation process all files may be lost.In this scenario, you should consider the upgrade of the operating system Windows 7.Kind regards

How to set up a new incoming connection for VPN under windows 7 Home premium
I want to connect two computers in different places, so first I want to set up a computer to accept an incoming connection by using VPN
so, how can I set up an incoming connection...
For Vista but similar for Win 7...
http://theillustratednetwork.MVPs.org/Vista/PPTP/PPTPVPN.html
Also, see this help article...
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/set-up-an-incoming-VPN-or-dial-up-connection
Remember that for a PPTP VPN server you must forward/open the TCP 1723 Port through a firewall or a router to the PC server is behind. You must also make sure that the firewall or the router will pass traffic GRE protocol 47 . This is sometimes called PPTP Pass Through or VPN Pass Through the firewall or the router. Windows Firewall automatically communicates the GRE protocol traffic if you make an Exception for the Port TCP 1723.
You can test it by running the test detailed in sections PPTP Ping and VPN traffic in this Cable Guy article.
http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb877965.aspx
You can download the tools, pptpsrv.exe and pptpclnt.exe to Microsoft or if you have an XP SP2 CD. To extract the programs on a PC Windows 7 open the CD and select open folder to view files in the AutoPlay window.

Can not install the new copy of windows xp home edition
A friend has built a computer for me and my friend it works for me. Everything goes ok, then it stops working because the friend has installed a pirated copy of Windows XP Professional on this topic. OK, I'm a little angry, but I can cope. I had bought a new copy, never been used before, Windows XP Home Edition a couple of years to my old copy that I ended up not using. When this happened, I thought it would be great, I could install that. So, I turn on my new computer and let it boot. When it comes to the screen, saying that I don't have an authentic copy of Windows installed, I open my CD drive, and then press the button so he can go back into the computer. I have no mouse or keyboard control so I can't select all and nothing happens after that the disk will inside. Nothing, I can't even hear anything running. I would try to solve this problem without having to take Office Depot where they charge me $ 99 for "try" to fix it. I don't have a job, so fix me it is my only option. Any help out there in the cyberland? Thanks for any help. I'm on my dad's computer if you're wondering how I'm even able to send this way. Laughing out loud
I do not understand what you're doing or why nothing seems to happen, but the fundamental question that you have, it's that you cannot "upgrade" from XP Pro to XP Home.
Assuming you can still start Windows (even if you get the notice that it is not authentic), copy all your data on some external support (external drive, USB flash, CD, DVD) and then perform a new installation of XP Home. Once Windows is installed, you need to restore these data and you will need to re - install applications (programs) that you have installed (for example, Microsoft Office), so you'll need to find the installation for the applications media.
Because it is a home-built computer, you must obtain all the necessary drivers on the web sites of various hardware manufacturers. Most likely you will need are motherboard (chip), display (video), (audio), network (including wireless and modem) and any device (e.g., printers).
Use the computer that you use to post here in order to download drivers and save them to a flash drive or burn them on a CD.
I guess that your boyfriend (ex?) didn't give you all the documents with the computer (e.g., the motherboard manual or manuals for other equipment he installed). If you can enter in your current Windows installation, click Start > run > msinfo32 > OK. Click on the 'Components' category and look at the different devices to determine their models and manufacturers. Motherboard information (you need to get the drivers of chip set) is not indicated in msinfo32. Use BelArc Advisor (free)
How to do a clean install of XP:
http://www.theeldergeek.com/xp_home_install_-_graphic.htm
http://michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.htmlDon't forget - when installing from a Windows XP CD, you'll probably not the current service pack (service pack 3) and you will certainly not have current security patches. You too have an antivirus. Get instant access to Windows Update (do not go to other websites) and download critical updates. Probably, this will take time and may require several reboots and go back to Windows Update. When all updates have been installed, install an antivirus.
If you are willing to pay for an anti-virus, eSet NOD antivirus (not the "suite"). Otherwise, I suggest Microsoft Security Essentials or Avira AntiVir Personal. At some point after that things are settled down, you should also get the free versions of MalwareBytes Anti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware. You don't need the "pro version" that work all the time; You must only update and run these scanners on a periodic basis just to be sure that you have not picked up a malware that is slipped beyond your anti-virus.

New installation of Windows XP Home edition on Qosmio F20 - sound card errors
Hello
I am one of those who is very reckless on internet and download a lot of spam and viruses along the way. I keep, but I'm also obsessive compulsive on the backup of my important files, so when my computer flip out on me, I just wipe it clean and continue!
I stick to windows XP because some software I use still does not work on Vista, and I also install a completely new copy of XP instead of recovery as bundles of Toshiba with my laptop. Why? Because I lost it...
Anyway, I've been tracking the drivers to get the last bits of the material work and all seem to work well! The only problem I have is with the (Yes, you guessed it!) sound card driver!
I have a Qosmio F20 and have no idea of what sound card is actually inside this thing, I have always used SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio drivers and they do most of the work very well, but they seem to have problems when I try to use Adobe Premiere Pro CS3 and Soundbooth. Both programs complain that there is no sound card and then refuse to open,
As far as I know, the driver that I use is by 'Analog Devices' and v5.12.1.5240. I don't know if it's really any help at all!
Does anyone know which driver is correct to use and where to find it, or is the fault, I have just an inevitable?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Pav
Hello Pav
Have you installed Windows XP Home with Service Pack 2 included?
On the Toshiba download page, there is a driver available and I do not understand why you think that this is not the right one. The same driver will be installed if you use recovery CD/DVDs.

I used a time capsule in my house. Now, I have another network put in place and would like to set my time for back ups and NOT as a WiFi capsule
If it is possible to turn off the WiFi on the Time Capsule, which only leaves you with the option to back up your Mac (s) using a wired Ethernet cable connection between the Mac (s) and the Time Capsule.
Are you OK with that?

I would like to install my adobe cloud in my D drive but it keeps install on my C drive automatically. How can I change?
Hello
Please see the FAQ section of this link: download and install Adobe Creative Cloud applications
Creative cloud desktop application can only be installed on drive D, it must be installed on drive C or Ocean drive, but you can install other applications on the other drive.
NOTE: We suggest to install the application on the primary drive however, you can configure the destination of installation of in creative cloud application preferences. Please note that there will always be shared resources stored on your primary drive. In addition when installing temporary process files will also be created on your main drive.
If you have already installed any application, you need to uninstall and make the changes to the location in Creative Cloud Desktop app after that reboot the machine and now install the apps again and must be installed on the new location.
Let us know if that helps.
Kind regards

My PC has XP Tablet installed. I would like to re - install (it's so slow) but do not have the disks (PC was good for me to my business when I'm retired). I have XP Home disks and another valid product key and not used. I don't need the features of the Tablet, just a working pc. Can I do this?
Toshiba Portege P3500, XP Tablet. 2 GB of Ram. Has had a lot of software installed and uninstalled during the years, and even if I do cleanups and defrags, etc, it's still dog slow. I want to just start from scratch.
Yes, you can install your unused copy of Windows XP Home Edition, assuming that it is a "Full Version" and not a "Version upgrade".

I recommend that you download and install the small, simple, easy
to use, free program called SharpKeys to
http://www.randyrants.com/SharpKeys/Allows you to remap the keys as you wish. For example, I use it personally
to turn off the CapsLock and Insert keys, two keys that I never want to
to use, but I'm inclined to hit accidentally.Ken Blake
