  Hello guys.  I have a mac here, which I use for work.  Hands may become very sales sometimes which is how dirt happens on my mac.  The cover of the screen, where the apple logo is, where it's the dirtiest.  I tried to clean it with a nonabrasive cloth with wet water, no luck there.  If I had to use my finger and keep rubbing, would come out a bit of dirt but that would take forever.  Anyone of you have a better solution on how to clean this rough dirt of my coverage?  Apple offered no use of solvents, sprays or abrasives to clean.  I would like to have the lid nice and clean without damaging the sweetness of the coverage.  Thanks for reading!

  You could spray a mist of iKlear on a cotton cloth.

  You do not convert it.

  When you install a hard drive with an operating system already installed from another machine (HP) in to another machine (Sony), you must reinstall the operating system, using the correct disc for this Sony computer.

  Contact Sony and ask them to send you a recovery disc for this model.

  Normally, they do this for a small fee.

  Then reinstall the operating system using the correct disks.

  Another issue to consider:

  It is not legal to install / transfer the license of operating system OEM HP for a Sony.

  This license is linked to the HP machine.

• Hello, I'm new here, I'm trying to find how to make my windows vista machine have a static IP address.

  The reason for this: British Colombia, I'm trying to port forward on my router 2wire AT & T. Everytime I turn my laptop off the IP reset and I can't do a check port on port forwarding, I did the day before. So I need a static IP address so that when I turn off my machine and then again on the INVESTIGATION period does not reset. Could I get a good suggestion on where to find this info.? I asked on other forums, but it seems that those who are not very active, and it's frustrating day waiting to get an answer lol. I really need my games to have a port before getting a low latency (ms). And also for download speeds appropriate downloading patches. Unfortunately, I do not know if my router 2wire has a UPnP enable/disable option of opening and closing ports properly.   I'm working on the laptop of a friend (aspire 5253) who had a virus package root.  After spending hours trying to get out I decided to wipe the hard drive.  I glued the Win7 has begun the installation until I got the message BOOTMGR is missing. After moving to the front, the system is now looking for media drivers, most likely, hard drive...?  There is not a driver available for this portable device disc and the acer site has no driver, that he needs.  any suggestions on how to fix this?  THX in advance

  1. on another computer, download the tool and create a Windows 10 installation media.

  2. go aspire 5253 BIOS settings to activate the Boot Menu to boot from USB or DVD and then save/quit.

  3. start windows 10 support that you created in step 1.

  4. When you see the screen below, press SHIFT + F10, so you have access to a command prompt

  

  5. use "diskpart own", not only clean the hard disk, but also to put it in an uninitialized state (works for HDDs and SSDS)

  6. Remove windows 10 installation and insert the media to install windows 7.

  7. turn off the computer (turn off the computer)

  8 turn on the computer and install windows 7.  Select custom installation.  Do not partition or format the hard drive.  Just click on the drive (unallocated space) where you want to install windows, and then click "next".  Windows setup will automatically partition and format your drive for you. (Or if you use an Acer recovery media, follow the instructions of Acer)

  (Also, instead of install windows 7, you can install windows 10 If you want to give it a shot, but you will need to enter the key of windows 7 to a point, so you can activate the free upgrade.) It is difficult to say whether or not Windows will find all windows 10 drivers for your computer.  You may go directly to the website of component manufactures to find windows 10 drivers.  Acer does not provide 10 drivers for your computer... model and your computer may or may not work properly with windows 10)

  Gateway provides an XP driver for your laptop specific model? Go to the gateway support site to find out. I can't check for you because their site needs the serial number, not the model number. If this isn't the case, then XP is not supported on your computer. You need live without sound or put Vista on the machine. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!
