"iastor.sys page_fault_in_nonpaged_area" even in recovery image
On my brand-new U840, after installing all the thing I need, I thought it will be nice to use the SSD for Windows SWAP file. SYS (4 GB on a 8 GB partition)... and everything went well. Then I thought will be nice to use to use the rest of 24 (unpartitioned) Go for something else. In Ubunt (was unavaible in Windows!) I have formatted these 24 GB in ntfs and after startup I got a nice blue with screen
.....
iaStor.sys
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
....
I tried everything (delete the new partition... all partitions on ssd... by default in the BIOS... Turning off some Intel setting in BIOS)... * Windows does not start... even drive HARD recovery... even the recovery of USB *...
I'M STUCK! ... Any ideas?
Kind regards

Cause
Bug KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED control is a very common bug control. To interpret it, you must identify which exception has been generated.
Common exception codes are:
0 x 80000002: STATUS_DATATYPE_MISALIGNMENT indicates that an unaligned data reference was encountered.
0 x 80000003: STATUS_BREAKPOINT indicates that a breakpoint or ASSERTION was met when no kernel debugger was attached to the system.
0xc0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION indicates that a memory access violation has occurred.
Solve the problem
If you do not have to debug this problem, you must use certain basic troubleshooting techniques:
- Make sure you have enough disk space.
- If a driver is identified in the bug check message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates.
- Try changing video cards.
- Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS.
- Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading.
If you plan to debug this problem, you may find it difficult to get a stack trace. Parameter 2 (the address of the exception) should identify the driver or function that caused the problem.
If you do not know the specific cause of the exception, consider the following:
- Hardware incompatibility. Ensure that all new equipment installed is listed in the list of the products tested Microsoft Windows market.
- Service driver or defective peripheral system. A chauffeur service or defective peripheral system could be responsible for this error. The hardware problems, such as BIOS incompatibilities, conflicts of memory and IRQ conflicts can also generate this error.
If the verification of the message bug list a driver by name, disable or remove that driver. In addition, disable or remove drivers or services that have been recently added. If the error occurs during the startup sequence and the system partition is formatted with the NTFS file system, you may be able to use Safe Mode to rename or to delete the faulty driver. If the driver is used as part of the start-up procedure of the system Safe Mode, you must start the computer by using the Recovery Console to access the file.
If the problem is associated with Win32k.sys, the source of the error may be a third-party remote control program. If this software is installed, you can remove the system startup service using the recovery and then Console by removing the offending system service file.
Check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the device or driver responsible for control of bug 0x1E. You can disable the cache in memory of the BIOS to try to resolve the error. You must also run the diagnostics of material, especially the scanner memory, which provides the manufacturer of the system. For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.
The error that generates this message may occur after the first reboot during Windows Setup, or after installation is complete. A possible cause of the error is lack of disk space for installation and the system BIOS incompatibilities. For any problems during the installation of Windows that are associated with lack of disk space, reduce the number of files on the hard disk drive target. Search and delete temporary files that you do not have to have, files hidden Internet, application backup files and files saved.chk, which contain fragments of files on disk scans. You can also use an another hard disk drive with more free space for the installation.

Slate 21: recovery image?
While I can find slate 7 system recovery images and instructions on HPs website, so far I could not find out where the corresponding information for the 21 slate. Turn on/off with the volume key reached a screen like the one in 7 slate instructions and thus provides an option to restore things to the SD card if I have a failure - but who needs the image file! In this section "drivers and software" HP web site admits not even slate 21 the existing... I guess it's just that this has not caught up, but I really want to feel safe sooner rather than later, please...

At this point, HP does not provide system images of recovery for the Slatebook or slate 21 (both are Android 4.2). If this changes, I will be happy to post here and let you know. Sorry I don't have better news to share.

A few questions about Toshiba recovery image
Hello
I'M ALPER. I HAVE A PROBLEM EVEN WITH OTHER FRIENDS. THE PROBLEM IS THAT I INSTALLED WINDOWS 7 PRO TO MY COMPUTER, I COULD NOT GO BACK TO THE ORIGINAL OS.I HAVE HDDRECOVERY IN MY HARD DRIVE. BUT I HAVE NO RECOVERY DISK.
I TRY THE METHOD BY FOLLOWING THE LINK. IT DOES NOT WORK. WINDOWS DIRECTLY WHEN THE COMPUTER STARTS. NO RECOVERY.
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=68031NOW, I'LL TRY IT THE HARD WAY. IF I WANT SUCCESS I'LL YOU SAY.
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=40790BEFORE DOING THAT I HAVE A QUESTION IF I CREATE TOSHIBA RESTORE DISK WITH THE SAME MODEL MY FRIENDS? IS IT WORKING OR NOT?
ANOTHER QUESTION: IS THERE ANOTHER WAY?
Thank you
> I HAVE A SAME PROBLEM WITH OTHER FRIENDS
That s best evidence of something interesting that we write here: person read document s user manuals. In this section of the forum you will find many discussions with very good explanation of how it works. In any case, here is brief summary:
Each laptop model comes with preinstalled OS (factory settings). HARD drive (from the HARD drive partition) recovery facility can be launched and work if the laptop to factory settings. Otherwise you will have access to files from recovery, and there is also no possibility to start the installation of HARD drive recovery.
> BEFORE I HAVE A QUESTION IF I CREATE TOSHIBA RESTORE DISK WITH THE SAME MODEL OF MY FRIENDS?
In general Yes, but this other model must have the same part number. Send your model name and we can tell you this part number. In any case, in my opinion the best solution for you is order the original Toshiba Recovery disk and use it for recovery image installation.

Satellite L500 - 1XM Windows 7 iaStor.sys blue screen
Hi I have a Satellite L500-1XM that keeps bluescreening with error iaStor.sys. It happens randomly between 10 minutes and a few seconds after the start (even in safe mode).
I tried a memory test and that turned out fine. I checked the logs and they do not indicate hard disk failure or chkdsk reports any corruption or bad sectors.
This could be the cause?Hi Mike
Thanks for the comments.
Glad to hear all is well. -
Toshiba Satellite L650, Windows 7, Intel Core i3 processor.
My computer suddenly restarted and I get a blue screen with a message - 'iastor.sys' does not.Anyone encountered before?
How can it be resolved?-Earlence
iastor.sys seems belongs to the SATA/controller HARD disk controller.
Eventually he deliver s HARD drive.
However, you can try to reinstall the Storage Manager Intel because this package contains this file.If this is not enough, try to restore the system using the recovery disc or HARD drive recovery...
Take a look in the manual mode for more details... -
HP ENVY laptop: recovery Image (D)
I upgraded my laptop computer to the original Windows 8 Windows - 8.1Pro and then the windows - 10.1Pro.
Drive recovery Image (D) recognizes these updates? or is he still in charge of recovering the laptop for Windows-8?
In other words: if I had to use the recovery Image (D) at the moment it would Windows 8? or Windows - 10.1Pro?
Unfortunately for upgrades, the recovery Partition always contains the version of Windows that the PC had its release. If Windows 8 was on the laptop when it was purchased and delivered then that is what Recovery Manager will reinstall if the user was to call the process.
Probably not what was intended but it would be to the advantage of the user to make an image of an independent system on an external IE: external hard drive. I prefer Acronis True Image, but many are available. Even free with IE: Clonzilla

Help! I can't download recovery image to my PC from dell website system drivers
I am trying to download recovery image from my PC operating system from the site of uk drivers dell under the product I own (inspiron aio 7459)
Whenever I try to download the image, it will fail in the middle and the entire image file is corrupt, it always happens when I try to download the image and I seriously need this image. My PC has now gone unstable, I had to do a clean install of windows 10 but after a few months he gets corrupted with a lot of disk errors, this pc worked perfectly without error before that dell was told to remove the recovery partition, support technique dell ruined my computer.
Can someone help me please? How can I stop it failing in the middle of the download?
I feel like this system recovery is my only hope to get my PC to its State as if it was when I got this PC.
(If it is not sorted then I am more satisfied with my PC and will just return it and get a refund, because even the technical support help not out me and rather corruption telling me I have to pay for the mistake, they did what I never do!)
It's ok now, what I've done, is download the image of the system at midnight because fewer people using the internet and therefore less traffic to interrupt the download.
I downloaded it at midnight and he succeeded, so for those struggling to download an image system for their PC, I'd download it somewhere near the off-peak hours.

These related iaStorA.sys Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver from Intel Corp. I'd install the most recent driver available, even if it is the same date that drivers become corrupt. If you have a SSD or hybrid, I would also like to update the firmware.
If you continue to plant I remove McAfee and use the built in Defender in his place.

March 30, im getting this error on windows start.
When I start my notebook ' VAIO' logo comes with "Preparation auto repair. After 2-4 seconds 'circular loop treatment' pause for 1 sec & 'Blue screen' comes with
"Restart your PC on a problem and needs. We are only collecting the error information, and then we'll restart for you"
error "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (iaStorA.sys).
I know its technology Intel Rapid Storage Technology.
I had my backup of the C: & D: via Ubuntu live disk installed on USB key on a Portable HARD drive.
now, I just need to get into recovery mode.
When I press on "Assist-> recovery & hold ' and then it goes blue screen.
(1) im thinking to 'Safe Mode' start up. because if it will allow the startup I can uninstall the drivers of Intel rapid storage Tech.
Please tell how I can do it, because I can browse the live Windows by Ubuntu Pendrive files.
(2) 2nd is I can also navigate my "recovery Partition", so could you tell me how to use this 'partition data' to something to copy paste for USB...
My Recovery Partition to a folder 'sources' & also sources---> install.wim (9.05 GB)
folder 'sources' is total 17.9 GB in size.
If you (microsoft) can help me with the idea of 1st activation mode without fail to start, then it would be very very useful. Please, I beg you.
just need to as the bypass to my window troubleshooting-made & then I can start my recovery.
thnx.
Hi Christophe,
As the report makes clear that the Intel rapid driver is the root cause of the
question, we can try to run restore the system to an earlier point to cancel the update of starting on the recovery Partition. You can see the Sony guide learn more about the problems of system recovery:
http://community.Sony.com/T5/Windows-8/Windows-8-upgrade-Troubleshooting-FAQ/TD-p/41893
To go in safe mode since the Partition configured recovery on your computer, you can
Follow the instructions below.Once you are on the recovery Partition, you will be asked to press any key to load sound
content, to do. First, you will need to select your keyboard type. Press the page layout you want to use. If you want to browse the available options, press 'see more keyboard
layouts' until you find the one you want to use.Windows asks you to choose an option. Press help.
In solving problems screen, tap Advanced.
In the Advanced options screen, tap Start parameters.
You are informed that you are about to restart to change several options of Windows, including activation of the Secure Mode. Press restart.
Your computer or your device restarts again and displays nine startup settings, including Safe Mode, Safe Mode with network and Safe Mode with command prompt
Press F4 on your keyboard, to turn on Safe Mode, F5 to activate Safe Mode with network and F6 activate Safe Mode with command prompt. Windows 8 and Windows boot 8.1 now depending on the setting you have selected.
It will be useful. Please let us know in case you need more information on issues related to Windows.

Satellite L655-1GN - failed to install the new drive HARD original recovery image
Hello
Just had to buy a new hard drive and put the latter with the former. I already checked that he was the same size and SATA as the original hard drive. When I tried to start a new installation of the operating system from the recovery disk (that I bought the Toshiba provider in my country - MAFIL), the boot option was not available.
MAFIL representative told me that the recovery disks only for the reinstalliation of the OS on the original drive, but are not suitable to install a fresh copy again. So, how can I install my Win7 64-bit, with all settings on the new drive and Toshiba apps?
Thank you
TomerOn many models of laptops different change HARD drive or upgrade can be done by the owner of the laptop and after doing this, you can install recovery image using the disc of recovery without any problem.
I did several times on different models of Toshiba laptops. This works.
I really don't understand how someone can give you this information.By default the BIOS settings, restart your machine and press F12 at startup. When the boot menu appears on the screen put the recovery disk ODD news, select CD/DVD as a boot device and press ENTER.
What happens when you do this? -
Installation of recovery image on Satellite L500D
Am trying to re - install windows 7 on Satellite L500D. I'm having all kinds of problems with the computer because it has been infected by malware or viruses, don't know that. I have already backed up all my documents, photos and files pst on an external hard drive.
I press '0' when the power and then got the following options.
First option is 32 or 64 bits,
I chose 32 that the vehicle has currently 32-bit installed.
Warns next option, I selected Yes.
Next option is factory default software recovery (Recover State out-of-the-box). or erase the hard drive, I chose the default settings restoring.
Then there's 3 options,
1 recovery of out-of-the-box-state (System Recovery Options include).
2. recovery without changing hard drive partitions, or
3. recover to custom size partition. I thought I chose Option 1, but it shows all partitions will be deleted and you will lose all data on the hard drive. This means that I will delete the windows installs partition?
Choose option 2?
Option 2 says "the first partition is deleted and you will lose all data on the partition. I am thinking 2 option? On a separate issue, I could install the 64 bit version of Windows, if so it would be an advantage?
Hello
Detailed explanations on the recovery image installation, you can find on http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/HTD1303440001R02.htm
Please check it and I hope you find al the info you need there. I always use Recovery option out-of-box state > system recovery options are included.
Your system is infected of course and you have to complete resettlement in order to not make this so complicated. Back up all your data and install recovery image using option 1. No matter what will be removed and what not. Drive HARD integer should be cleaned.
I recommend you to use the version of 64-bit operating system.
Very nice article about 32 and 64 bit versions OS, you can find here. -
error 'iaStorA.sys' on the Satellite U940-108
Hello
I have a portable Satellite U940-108. I had to replace the hard drive failure.
After retrieving the backup of the following Win 8.1, start the laptop the error message system: System Thread Exception unhandled (iaStorA.sys).This error also occurs if Win 8.1 is installed with an installation CD, and then the drivers are loaded.
I have updated the drivers to the latest version.I beg your help.
A welcome message.
Jordi Miralles. After the HARD disk has been removed and replaced the RAID configuration is lost and must be rebuilt.
I don t know exactly the procedure, but in order to use the RAID feature that is controlled by the Intel Rapid Storage Technology, the RAID must be to rebuild and this can be done by the service provider accredited with special tools and method. After that, I guess that this error will go away.
