  • Corrupt BIOS V5 531 Acer black screen after startup, f2 and f12 also. Repairable?

    Hello

Yesterday I tried to install Win 7 if I could play D & D Neverwinter on Arc after using * nix systems study (looking to start a career as an administrator). I had plugged into a power strip that was, unbeknownst to me, turned off and I went to make coffee and watch some news. When I came back to check the progress of my laptop was powered off and since then I havn't been avle start without being blocked at a black screen after the start page of the bios. The f2 and f12 also leads to a black screen, I can not change the boot device or enter the bios Setup.

Is - fixable at all? For example, is the a key-combo, I can use it to restore from a backup bios? Or, do I have to bring in a technician who can install a new chip bios or flash this old some how? Or did I brick pemanently my device?

V1.22 is what you want to be part of a unit of Windows 7.

The problem is if it crashed during the upgrade process, it will take some special tools clearly on the chip on the MB and recharge it with a new BIOS. I would contact your local support team to see what options are available.

  • Black screen after startup for 30 sec as if my network is enabled.

So my problem is that I mentioned above. If I disable my router with its button to completely close and bad to start the computer, my PC starts in 5-7 seconds.

If I turn on my router my PC goes black screen after the loading screen logo of blue windows and wait like 30 sec or sometimes 1 min, before sharing the login screen.
I tried to make my static rather than dynamic, same IP occur.

    Hello

    Thanks for the updates.

Did you check with the router manufacturer to see if the firmware updates are available for the same?

Since the problem started once you have this connection, you must get in touch with the ISP or router manufacturer to check the issue.

  • T60p Black Screen after startup

    Hi gurus,

My blackened screen after starting today. I see barely any records and office of shadows. Looks like my LCD or backlight is aging or dying, since I've been see some pink screen occasionally for the last couple weeks.

Strange thing is, the screen is black with a power cord plugged and without power cord if I turn the clear screen to the maximum level (level 7), but if I keep it under level 5, the blacklight is on and it is always achievable (not good for me though).

So with that, I have to go to a repair store and replace my LCD set? or just the retro-lighting/inverter? or maybe just the conneting cable? How these possibilities would respectively cost me?

    Type: T60P 2007

    Operating system: XP

Warranty has expired earlier this year.

    Really appreaciate your entry!

    Evan

about 700 dollars if you take the laptop to a repair center. If you don't know how to do it you should ask our people to the forum.thinkpads.com, they are few who can do it and much cheaper.

Get a quote on their part first and see what happens, if you decide to not go through a repair, you can sell the market on forum.thinkpads.com for at least 300-400 USD depending on the conditions and specifications.

  • Black screen after startup (no home screen)

I was just with the Firefox browser, looking for patterns (no piece, first... use airplane mode and not wifi) and when I clicked on the cog icon in Firefox the buggy device. He showed me a message saying that the home screen has crashed. Now the device boots (displays the logo of LG, the animated Fox, my carrier logo (Vivo, of the Brazil) and Firefox OS logo, but it goes to a blank screen (it is actually a black screen with high bar appearing, showing that it is on that plane and battery.) If I press the home button (or hold it) the phone vibrates, but nothing happens. If I pressed the power button a menu appears with: "Turn airplane MODE" (which is annoying because it is already on, but if I choose what to disable), "Silence incoming calls", "restart", "Power Off". There is the option "Cancel". Each of them works, but I don't know what to do.
Oh, I tried to bring together the power, them increase the volume and the buttons on the home screen when the phone is off, but nothing happens. It turns when I release the home button. In addition, the volume and lock (or power) buttons works and change the volume / locks the phone...
    What should I do?

The phone is a LG Fireweb, bought in the Brazil.

Update, I tried to discount backwards, looks like you need the power, the House hold and volume KEYS until the LG screen appears, then release them. Worked well after the reset (so far).

  • Satellite C660D 15F - black screen after startup

    Satellite C660D 15F

    Hi guys,.

I have a big problem with my laptop. When I started to-go from sleep - two days ago I heard the computer starts normally but the screen remains black. No mater how many times I tried to restart, the screen shows nothing, no message no picture. The normal operation of the side light remains on but the keyboard lights stay offshore. I can hear the computer normally (the fan etc..).

I tried to hit SHIFT F8 start buttom on the first night, and the image was on the first attempt when I started the machine and everything seemed normal again! The next few days, I got a black screen once more and the case never worked again, no matter how many times I tried.

Can someone help me please get out of this mess? Has anyone had a similar problem? How do solve you?

My machine is now exactly four years.

Thank you very much for your ideas! I really need to access some files on there!

    Hello

Disconnect the power and remove the battery. After doing this press the power for 30 seconds about and try to reset your machine. Leave it for a while and try to start with power current only.

  • Windows Vista black screen after startup

    Hello!

I have a pc HP G60 with Windows Vista. After the updated pc, I couldn't use Google Chrome (it crashed and said 'Whoa Google Chrome has stopped working') after reading a few posts, I decided to restore the pc. So once I did this it worked fine. The next day Chrome stopped working again and not so my Mozilla Firefox (it says THAT XPCOM is not found) and I think it was because as I closed the previous night there are more updates running on the computer. So I restored around 4 or 5 times and the last time I have done that and restarted the computer, that he was really a lot of time with a black with just the mouse screen shows so I shut it down by pressing the power down button (bad I know). Now, whenever I turn it on, you can see the Windows loading screen with the small bars at the bottom and then there is a black screen with white text, requesting that the operating mode (safe mode, normal mode, etc.) and then after I decided to use it says loading files or something like that in the white text then just a bunch of names to run it on the screen. However, after that then it goes to a black screen with only the mouse showing. Someone knows how to fix this? I tried pressing the f8 key and I tried pressing the power button for 30 seconds without energy sources and put into market as Sigma_08 says in this post:

    https://social.msdn.Microsoft.

and the CTRL ALT DEL, but it still does not work. Is there something I can do? D:

    * I tried all modes (normal, security) on the start screen (it opens with this screen every time since I closed it the wrong way.

Hello! Thanks for the help! I have not tried, but because it turned out that I was pressing f8 at the wrong time, then tried again before the windows logo showed on the screen and was able to use the Repair Options and then system restore and this time he solved the problem! Thank you again for taking time to answer and the link!

  • Server 2003 and black screen after startup

I created a P2V using Symantec Recovery 2010.  I made a few of them in the past, and this is the first time I had no problem.  The complete p2v without no problem, generate a large vmdk file.

    1. create a new virtual machine in VMWare Workstation 7.1, by selecting the Server 2003, 2 cores, 4 GB of ram (even as a physical host).  Turn on and you get the screen Server 2003 and after that, you get a black screen.

    2. I tried F8 for Mode safe on the 2003 Server screen.  It works and I am able to start under server 2003 in safe mode.

    3. when the black screen comes up, I can see a lot of action hard disk for a few minutes and then it stops.  I let it sit for a few hours without change.  I also tried to reboot a few times to see if it changed anything.

    4. my ditch last effort was to create a whole new p2v, which has exactly the same problem.

    Any other ideas?

You may need to disable the hardware is no longer available via safe mode

  • My Satellite L505D goes to a black screen after startup

It seems to boot up properly and everything. It starts Windows 7 and goes to the user selection screen, but since there is only 1 user, it only says: Welcome to the loading circle. But when he tries to load the page office or home or whatever you call, all that happens is the mouse.

I can move the mouse normally, my anti anti-virus pop ups see the place if necessary. On my last attempt to try to solve the problem, I got my user to open the file, but has happened automatically. I tried taking the battery twice thing. If any ideas on why the screen just looks like a black screen and the mouse visible.

PS: I use the keys ctrl + alt + del function to get these options appears.

On this virtual path, it is not easy to understand why all this is happening, but what you can try is to start the operating system in safe mode and roll back the OS to an earlier time to see if it works.

Can you please try this and post comments.

Do as a first step. Later, we see what can be done.

It happens from time to time when I try to start my PLUA1E Satellite Pro U200-02802QS4, then I get a black screen even from the BIOS.
What is wrong and how to fix this?

BTW, I already have this BIOS version: P0044v370.exe installed.

This happens from time to time?
This means that you can not reproduce this problem?

Hmm that's not easy to say what the issue might be.
Maybe the BIOS update will help you at the moment you can find BIOS 3, 7 victory on the European driver Toshiba page.
If you have a lower BIOS version installed, then I recommend an update.

  • Computer now put in hibernation, Vista will not boot. Computer stuck on black screen after startup. Help?

I put my computer on 'Hibernate' when I went to bed. When I woke up, I started the computer learned to manufacturer (HP) computer screen introduction as usual, but windows doesn't not load afterwards, as he usually does: I just get a black screen. Lights supply and all the rest are on. Just nothing happens. Any ideas?

Can I use the firmware from HP (I guess that's what it is) to confirm that my memory and hard drive are very good. I tried Googling the problem, and some signs indicate a problem with the powercfg parameter. I can't get in cmd.exe to reset because I can't get into windows (although through HP firmware, I can enter in "Administrator: X:\windows\system32\cmd.exe - cmd", which seems the same, but the orders that I see offered on websites do not seem to work - help?). Ditto with Safe Mode. I don't have Vista installation disc.

    Any help is very appreciated.

    Hello

You need to contact HP and install recovery disks command to perform a repair.
