IBook menu bar turns gray

Using iBooks v1.4 OSX 10.11.2 Macbook Pro retina

In any book (purchased or sample), if I have my cursor on the title of the book, in the middle of the menu bar, then go through the Menu bar, it becomes grey and is unusable.

Then, the Menu bar is only restored while the cursor is on the title of the book.

Is this a bug or am I missing something?

Bug. The icons still work, even if they are not visible.

Help!

    Hi, Arghbee1.

    Please visit Apple support communities.

I understand that you are unable to AirPlay from your Mac to your Apple TV.  Here are some troubleshooting steps that I recommend to go through this problem.

    Get help

If you do not see the AirPlay icon , make sure that your Apple TV is awake and that it meets the system requirements.

If you do not see your Apple TV in the AirPlay menu, make sure that your Mac and Apple TV comply with the system requirementsand your software from the Apple TV is updated. Also check your firewall settings:

    1. Choose the Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, and then click the Firewall tab.
    2. Click the lock icon and enter an administrator name and password.
    3. Click Firewall Options.
    4. Deselect the option "block all incoming connections".
    5. Select the option "automatically allow signed software to receive incoming connections.

  • How do I reopen it the status bar and the menu bar, I accidentally turned off one of them and now they are not accessible by right-clicking anywhere on the browser

If you right click on the bar at the top of the page in the browser, you can check and uncheck what bars appear. I accidentally disabled something there and now when I click I can't get any menu to double-check my menu on the right, State bars so that they are visible. Currently they are not visible, I have no way to move or change settings.

OK, got it fixed, I kept fishing around this site and found an answer. Press the Alt key and the menu bar appear temporarily, long enough to restore the bar to be visible.

I can see my Menu bar and I have almost everything in (File, Edit, View, history, tools, and help). The only thing that miss me is "bookmarks". I don't know I have a right click on it and it is gone, or I hit Ctrl with Alt or something with something and deleted... Please kindly help.

You have the add-on delicious installed? This one has an option to hide the bookmarks menu entry. If you have the delicious, check his options show/hide bookmarks menu.

  • turned black menu bar

In my explorer 8 I lost my menu bar. I came back but it black turneded. I can ove my cursor along it and read the topics. How can I get it back to normal

    1. right click on any open space on the desktop.
    2. a tab opens > goto PTECHNIC.
    3. This will open the "Display properties" there are 5 tabs... Screensaver, Wallpapers, theme, settings, appearance.
    4. make your changes to any or all the tabs according to your personal preferences. NOTE: Click 'apply' in each tab after you make changes and before going to the next tab.
    5. when everything is done with your settings back to the Theme tab goto SAVE AS and give or chose a favorite theme of i.e. 'my name theme'. Save this to the desktop.
    6. whenever you reload your bet will be lost, according to the psych0fred post above. Before you use IE or open other windows double click on the theme file he created, he will lead you to "display properties", make sure that the name of your theme is in the area record under > click apply > ok. NOTE: If you open IE before application of the changes you wil need to close and reopen it for the changes to take effect.

  • Gray cloud creative icon in the menu bar. Does not load

Hello. At one point during the last two days, the icon creative cloud in my mac menu bar went greyed out and now when I click on it, the window that loads is empty. I tried some of the tips in this post but trashing opm.db did not work and whenever I try to uninstall creative cloud (so I can reinstall it) he refuses to let me, saying: there are still programs to use it.

CC, I still are accessible from the dock and the launchpad, but I can't achieve anything for new updates to download. What should I do?

(Also in things, the application manager might have gotten deleted.)

    (1) close adobe every process in activity monitor (creative cloud, sync Core, CC library, services for the desktop application adobe, adobe office, broker CIB Adobe updater AAM service)

    2) navigate to the following locations and assign all permissions to the adobe folders to the current user. To navigate, click on go in the bar on then click goto... type/library/application support of / and then click OK.

    (3) to assign the authorization right click on adobe folder and click on Get info... A window will open. Then click on the lock symbol to allow editing. Then click on sign + to add your user name. Then change read only to read and write. Then click gear icon on the bottom and click on apply to the elements included and click ok... Go to the next step then.

    3) navigate to the location following support/adobe application and rename in oobe to oobe.old and aamupdator.old aamupdator.

    (4) place you ~/Library/application support/adobe/oobe and rename in oobe to oobe.old and aamupdator.old aamupdator.

    (5) open the library of the application and delete the creative cloud,

    (6) open utility library of the application itself and delete Adobe application manager and creative cloud

    (7) install creative cloud from link according to https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud

    (8) launch cc app and it should work properly

  • The menu bar clock freezes after recovery from sleep mode

After the upgrade to Sierra, I noticed that the clock in the menu bar (top right) show wrong time.  This occurs when the iMac comes out of his SLEEP.  When I hoover the pointer of the mouse on the clock, it would turn into a spinning ball (i.e. no response).  I have to disconnect and reconnect so that the clock in the menu bar to indicate the correct time.  She would continue to work until the next time that the iMac comes out of SLEEP.

    Anyone facing this problem?

Have you tried booting in safe mode (hold down the SHIFT key at startup)? The problem persists?

If you create a new user account, does?

  • Siri is not displayed in the menu bar - an idea, why not?

To http://help.apple.com/macOS/Sierra/WN/?lang=en_US#/siri-WN , I noticed that Siri is supposed to be in the menu bar. And in settings > Siri "display in the menu bar" is selected by default. But he does not appear in my menu bar. Yet it is in my dock.

No idea why it doesn't appear in the menu bar?

In addition, Siri has a few display bugs (see screenshot).

Turn off your computer and restart.
