  • Strange problems with scheduled tasks

    Hello Microsoft community.

I have a domain with many servers (windows Server 2003), and there is a database of oracle on one of them. I usually use a batch file to back up the oracle database, and I'm sure that this lot works perfectly.
So I logged on the server that contains the oracle database and create a new weekly scheduled task to back up my database, and the timing worked well in the first day.
The next day, I logged on the server to make sure that the backup works, but I found a sentence (cannot start) under the status column and (0x1) under the column last result.
I tried to delete the task and create it again, but nothing has changed.
I used both domain administrator account and the Local Administrator account, but nothing has changed.
I tried to check the task when I connect and disconnect, but nothing has changed.

The accounts that I used to create the task have the full control permissions on the source folder that contains the batch files so the destination folder that contains the backup files.
The Task Scheduler service is set to automatic type and its status is started.
Whenever I double click the backup batch file works fine, but the task still does that for a time.

    What should I do?

    Kind regards.

  • I get the message that Scheduler tasks not preformed tasks does not

    Original title: error messages
I get the message that Scheduler tasks not preformed tasks does not

You have can not be programmed tasks, but one or several applications that you have installed probably made (without bothering to tell you).  Google is a likely culprit, but certainly not the only one.

Most of these tasks are "phone home" search for updates of applications.  If you ask me, you're better off with tasks not running - but I'm sure that you don't like the error message at every startup.

Rather than starting at the end with the section of the "Troubleshooting" section, begins to run and find out what's on demand - so you can decide whether you care or not that it is not performed.

Click Start > Accessories > system tools > scheduled tasks

The window tasks planned opens and you can see the list of tasks.  If you want the tasks to be performed, but they are not, then follow «troubleshooting» article  If you don't want the task to run, do a right click and 'delete '.

Or, if you do not want to risk to delete something you don't know, but don't want the error of "missed tasks", right-click on a task, select properties and then uncheck the box in the tab 'Task' that says 'Enabled '.  This will give time to what the job is all about and why he could not be executed but will prevent the message "some tasks have been missed" to come whenever you start the search.

  • How can I remove a scheduled task?

I want to know how to remove a scheduled task, I did (instructions for making one here: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistaprograms/thread/6339f3d6-504d-4275-857a-4307a4cbe9ff), but all I can find on the subject does not work under vista, or just tell me how to end it--which is not sufficient, because it runs automatically when I connect. Could someone show me please how to do this.

I finally found the answer. Go to task sheduler > task scheduler library(left pane), and then you will see the list of tasks that you can edit and delete.

  • Historical Scheduler tasks displays tasks from Microsoft does not after a certain date.

    Hi all

I have watched the Scheduler task category in the event viewer and see a number of the integrated task

fail.  I opened the Task Scheduler to view the stories of the various tasks and I have

see that they began to fail on December 2, 2013.  Something must be happened - I know I've changed

my password to login, but I'm not 100% sure that it was that day.

The typical mistakes I see are 80070005 and 80070102, which in my opinion, correspond to the

    Access denied and a timeout.

Any help to clarify this appreciated...

EDIT - these are the built-in tasks provided with Vista, such as the restoration of the system,

Multimedia/systemsoundservice, Windows/the calendar reminder, etc., etc., which fail.

who worked previously before the above date.

I deleted and added to Save / Import XML files,.

but the situation remains the same.

Out of curiosity, I disabled UAC in Control Panel / users and restarted.

In those circumstances, most of the tasks worked, only one or two errors showed.

Once again, the reactivation of UAC, logon with that account (Administrator).

most, if not all failed and display errors in the event viewer:

Application and service logs, Microsoft, Windows, Task Scheduler

Makers this circumstance ring the bells with anyone?

    EDIT

This strange problem has been resolved by defining certain sensitive permissions

in the registry, such as full access to the SYSTEM and administrators for HKLM and HKCU.

Once it has been done, feature, returned to normal.

I guess some permissions have been corrupted, who sets the tool.

I can probably find the file and the path I use in the Actions tab was checked, re-checked, double checked and triple-checked.

My task is a * cmd file that initiates a work PC SAS...

Again, it works fine under XP and I can run under WIN 7, but it does not work on Task Scheduler.  I played with the script without success...

    Hello

1 are. what script you referring?
2 where the cmd file that initiates a PC SAS work?

I you suggest to change the location of the file, delete the scheduled task, disable the security software and then create a task again.

Step 1: Follow the below mentioned article:

Important note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

Step 2: Follow the below mentioned article:

If the steps above do not help, you can report the issue in the link mentioned below:

  • If I disconnect night & let computer programs still run scheduled tasks?

I have a touch screen all in one computer that is running Windows 7 Prof I leave it on for the night because I have internet free satellite during the night and my programs are planning to do the updates & backups during this period.

This has happened about 4 times now. wake up to find dozens of things open on my computer screen. Always me freaks out. I have Norton 360 on my computer, so I always do a scan complete antivirus & etc. always comes back clean. So I try to tell me that a fly or some need to crawl across my screen. EVERYONE KNOWS THIS PROBLEM? IS THAT SOMEONE HAS TRIED TO GET INTO MY COMPUTER?
If only I disconnect during the night my programs still will put to day & backups at the scheduled time?

Yes, looks like the computer is clean.  That's why I don't understand what can be 'dozens of things open on my computer screen' unless they are

1 applications you started with Task Scheduler, or

2 applications for which you have set options such as check the updates directly in the application.  Windows Media Center, just for example, is normally set to check hourly program updates from one day to the next day [it's just from memory, as I deleted].  These applications would create task scheduler entries themselves - you can scroll by opening the Task Scheduler with the run as Admin option & click on the little drop-down arrow next to the entrance to Task Scheduler Library.  Check that the view menu is set to show hidden tasks as well.

3 the result of someone to hack into your computer, open the "dozens of things" but plant is not malicious software on it.  Which seems a little wacky for me.  All your accounts are protected with a password?

What are 'dozens of things? "  Are there tasks Scheduler task calling it upward?

TS can perform tasks when you are logged off the coast, as long as you set the on this way 'run if the user is logged in or not' run and only if the task can non - see the help entry security context of taskScheduler.

  • Task Scheduler tasks do not work after a reboot

In windows 7 I used to have the error that other people get to the Task Scheduler that the task no longer exists. In any case, I have no more errors since the question based on advice on this forum to delete each task which does not exist in the Task Manager, but exists in the attachment folder. If the error that the task no longer exists does not.

The problem is now task will run once, after that reboot a pc they rerun the habit. He said that the task is scheduled to run at 08:00 on Wednesdays of each week. But after that I restarted my pc it does not work yet. The next section begins to show nothing then.

The task in services.msc schedule is set to automatic. I should also mention that the service does not seem to me to change if its auto, manual, other services. I believe that I am the admin, I am the only user of this computer, no accounts are put in place, its just me, and I never had problems with the admin.

Forecasts of the tasks are not that difficult, after I corrected the error, I hoped that would be the end, but no, forecasts of the tasks still does not work, something so fundamental should not cause many headaches.

Well looks like I found my answer, microsoft does not task scheduler does not work after restarting.

Here is the original thread, I made mentioned, dealing with my first issue with Task Scheduler showing an error indicating that the tasks no longer exist. This thread has solved the problem that I no longer receive the error that the task no longer exists, but close to the last post on the thread below, someone explains the problem that I have now with the pc, not to remember to perform next time.

This thread below will fill you in on everything I mention since Task Scheduler, defragment break Task Scheduler.

And as one person on the States of thread at the end

"Sorry, Joseph... but it is not the answer." Oh, Yes... you can recreate the tasks that are causing the problem (in my case, something like 25... Count em... 25. created by the system of tasks in Microsoft files). Everything seems fine. Restart now. BLAMMO. You're right back where you started.

Microsoft: Task Scheduler in W7x64 is BROKEN. Horribly, undeniably BROKEN.  Acknowledge the problem and FIX this MESS. »
