iCloud drive with Sierra problems

When I upgraded to Sierra, during the implementation, I registered inadvertently to the top enable My Documents & Desk Top to synchronize without realizing account. Everything was going well in the Finder, until I realized that I was looking for to iCloud Drive/Documents not iMac/Documents and realized what I had done. I went in the iCloud preferences and unchecked Documents & Desk Top iCloud Drive options but I got a pop up stating 'If you keep Documents on your desk and you file Documents will be visible in iCloud drive away. No documents in iCloud drive are deleted. "

I want to stop iCloud sync my Documents and office of the road and come back as it was before moving on to the Sierra of Finder.

If I understand your message which is more, you want to use iCloud drive and are concerned that you have received the message, "If you keep Documents on your desktop and you file Documents will be visible in iCloud drive away. No document will be deleted from iCloud drive. "When you disable iCloud Drive, the folder remains in the Finder, but you can move the documents from the folder of the iCloud drive to your Documents folder or any other folder of your choice. The only difference is that any changes to these documents will not be synchronized via iCloud to your other devices.

  • Possible drive with backup problem

    Recently, I needed remove the files from the old drive to backup after discovering their involuntary inclusion on my regular backup disk. These files somehow became included for backup to disk when I have included another external hard drive where they lie in the intent of formatting that lead to use as backup for the second part of my system dual-boot. This problem is surface shortly after the withdrawal of older backups with error message:

    "Time Machine could not finish the backup"Backup 04 BateStar."

    Cannot copy the files on the backup disk because it seems to be read-only.

    You need to maybe repair or reformat the drive using the Utility Dist. If the disc is not repairable, you usa another disk for backups. Open Time Machine preferences to select a different backup disk. »

    I completed both an audit and a repair that shows the drive to be good, no errors.

    Am suspect at this stage that it is was eventually added to the directory, or to a location on the disk are addressed by the directory of corrupted data.

    Is it possible to fix this without reformatting the drive 3 t?

    Furthermore, need to reformat, how would I be able to retrieve up-to-date backups without including whatever the location of incorrect data are included?

    Pages: Is it possible, or can be made possible in future updates, always store a copy of a Pages document on iCloud drive.  Most often, I want to save a document in its corresponding project on my computer, so he faints from iCloud, but I would like to have a copy stored in iCloud also.  Can there be a checkbox on the Save panel or preferences that says keep about iCloud copy...     Very good suggestion. You can also create a duplicate for each document and save the double real on iCloud drive. Another way is to have the real project records on the iCloud drive with documents in there like normal and just have an alias on the desktop, etc. for easy access.

    My problem is rare. When I activate the iCloud Desktop Drive & Documents folders in Finder seem two offices.

    If I delete the office with your preferred category after restarting the Finder again, it seems.

  • Sierra of MacOS - iCloud Drive Documents & Desktop keeps Getting Stuck download

    as stated in the header after activating the iCloud Drive to include Documents and desktop download stuck guard.

    Since almost 2 weeks I started the task mean to ask iCloud to include above mentioned files. Total quantity was about 100 GB download. I have 1 TB of storage for iCloud. iCloud is always download and always get stuck after about 10 to 30 minutes to download. Then I have to restart after that it starts to load only from getting stuck again.

    I was on the phone with Apple Care who had no idea of what might happen. They Said and I quote "we have no problem with iCloud download and your problem has not yet been recreated by others."

    I find it very hard to believe that I can repro this problem on 3 different systems.

    I have Cable speed of 400 Mbps downstream a 25mbit upstream. I have zero upstream of questions to dropbox or Spideroak at an astonishing speed. ICloud is the slowest I've ever known in my life but as I said after 14 days, it has yet to fill about 40 GB. This is ridiculous IMO.

    If anyone has any ideas on what is once again wrong with iCloud, I would of course tips

    Try to go into System Preferences/iCloud and stop synchronization. Wait a few minutes, then recheck the timing.

    Have you tried the signature to iCloud and then reconnect?

  • iCloud Drive storage problem--showing 167G in stock Doc when 9 G is here

    I use iCloud drive.  I have 200 G and should not have more than about 40 used G, but when I check space it shows 167 G is used in the Docs.  The problem is I do not see or have as many information Doc here.  I can't understand where the storage error.

    I met this problem before with other cloud storage systems, but there seems to be no way to talk to a tech at Apple person to understand what is happening.

  • iCloud drive text files being opened with numbers

    Before, everything worked fine with text files (.txt files) I have in iCloud drive.

    A tap on iCloud drive and another click on a text file on my iPhone would open the file Notes.

    From some point on (I think I got the same text file open at the same time on my Mac and my iPhone) iCloud drive to text on my iPhone files are opened with numbers.

    Later, when I type a text file to the iCloud drive on my iPhone I have numbers open this file.

    When I press the information next to the name of text file icon, I get a screen of info saying at the top of the right page "open in numbers."

    Since download macOS Sierra on my MacBook Pro I couldn't access one of my external hard drives, my mac just does not recognize them in Finder although she acknowledged more small sticks of data. Can someone help me?

    When I go to disk utility, that the external drive is there but the system indicates that the disk is full. Anyway, that I can't have my data.

    I spent over an hour with technical support and they were also perplexed I was much help in the end. Their only suggestion was that the configuration of the software had been changed by the download and I'd need to buy a new external drive and copy my files across using another machine. Well I bought a new external drive today only to find that it is not recognized either in the Finder and is also read as full in disk utility.

    External drive would not be formatted with the NTFS file system isn't it?

    Well, it depends on how the device is connected. It has its own ID-Apple/iCloud? I would recommend that it should have its own, as sharing an iCloud or Apple ID may cause Messages, FaceTime, Notes, virtually everything to share between the two phones. Most people find it quite annoying.

    All 4 of my devices constantly ask my password because of some problems with xyz account.

    Then I enter the password only to be told that iCloud cannot check my password.

    Then after several repetitions of this I get locked and have to go to the site apple id to change my password.

    I didn't spend $6 000 on these beautiful devices so I could spend countless hours dealing with support (with no positive result) and find themselves just beyond myself in frustration. I have a Mac Pro, 2 iPads, 2 iPhones and an iPod touch. All are behaving this way, no matter what it is I'm doing at the time.

    Apple needs to fix this problem, if they have any idea how to.
