  How iCloud library works is that all the photos are on iCloud and on the device connected to this library to iCloud. If you remove anywhere from anywhere, they are deleted.

  All you should have to do is stop iCloud photo syncing on the Mac. Then, when you delete photos, it will not sync to iCloud.

  Yes, according to iCloud Drive FAQ - Apple Support:

  You cannot use iCloud Drive on your devices until you update your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to the latest version of iOSand your Mac to the latest version of Mac OS X. If you already upgraded and you need to use a device that does not support iCloud by car, you can still work on your documents locally, but they will not be aware of the documents on your devices up to date, or on iCloud.com.

  How do you download photos to iCloud photo library?

  I do it like this:

  • I go to www.icloud.com,
  • Open the Photos.app, click 'Select Photos'
  • Now, I can select a series of photos by clicking on the first photos, hold down the SHIFT key, and then click the last of the range.
  • Now, I click on 'Download' and I see the photos, dropping one by one in my downloads folder, without any confirmation dialog.

  iCloud library is mirrored on your Mac. So the behavior you see is expected.

  Go to Finder and select your user folder. With this Finder window as the windshield, select Finder/display/display options for presenting or order - J.  When the display options opens, check "show the library folder. This should make your visible user library folder in your user folder.  Select the library. Place the following in the trash, then restart.

  Close all running applications. Put the following in the Trash:

  (1) in the folder ~/Library /, put the Caches folder to the trash.

  (2) in the ~/Library/Application Support / folder, put iCloud folder to the trash.

  (3) in the ~/Library/Preferences folder /, put the MobileMeAccounts.plist file in the trash.

  I am running OS X.11.2 on a Mac mini (end of 2014) with 2.6 GHz Intel Core processor i5 and 8 GB 1600 MHz Ram and integrated graphics Intel Iris.

  I recently discovered that Pages 5.6.1 and Numbers 3.6.1 cannot open documents that are stored in iCloud.  The error message on both said: "xxxxx file could not be opened."  It seems that the problem is not with the Pages or slightly damaged file, but with a severely damaged file or a corrupt practice of iCloud system.  I can't even to copy Pages or numbers of files (new files or before bugs) to iCloud drive due to an error: "the operation cannot be completed because a component is being change." on the copy and "the Finder cannot complete the operation because some data of xxxxx cannot be read or written. (Error code - 36) "at the time.  Finder has no problem with a document moved until an editor of Pages (or numbers) changes and saves directly in iCloud.  Files that were only moved, however, can still be dragged open up and changed.

  I think it's a bit specific to these programs as files stored outside com ~ apple ~ Pages or com ~ apple ~ numbers are always mobile in the Finder, but cannot be opened.  Unfortunately, even the overview documents stored in the directory of the iCloud drive cannot be opened while there.  Essentially, files in iCloud in car at all are unopenable, and files that have been saved in the Pages and directories even numbers can not be moved or deleted.

  So far, all this information applies to the integration of iCloud Finder only.  I can always go and change all my documents through iCloud.com and my mini iPad (1st generation), though changing them seems to break, which makes them "unreadable" or "changed", according to the statements of the error.

  Does anyone know how to fix my broken iCloud client?  Or maybe correct my applications?

  Because I created two different iCloud account initially by mistake I have problems to combine these two accounts. Actually, I need not transfer all data only datas calendar would be sufficient. What I've done so far, I exported calendar export datas (3 different calendar) on my mac using Ical. Now I want to restore these database to iCloud for my second account. The problem is when I try to restore the database in iCloud is it only allows me to restore from iCloud not my mac. Is there anyway to transfer my data to ical (.ics) of the mac to iCloud.

  Have you tried to stop synchronizing with iCloud and then import in the calendar? Then restart the synchronization.
