iCloud library on Match (vs Apple Music)

Is there a reason to maintain a subscription Match after Apple signed music to iTunes? the main reason that I had another match was to maintain access continuous songs "incomparable" (especially my own demos and stuff notcommercially available) that Match uploaded to the cloud. It seems that Apple music is that too by iCloud library. Am I missing something?

  • Access MY music via iCloud/Apple music on my Mac

I recently joined Apple music in part because I'm tired of using an external hard drive. I have all my music uploaded to the iCloud and it works very well on my phone. However, I can't seem to access my music on my computer (a Macbook Air if it matters) when the hard drive is not connected. Is it possible to access them through the cloud (assuming I have WiFi)? If so, how I got to this topic? Thank you!!!

N ° Match iTunes and Apple's music are 2 different services.

Apple music includes a service similar to iTunes game, but not iTunes game.

Will Apple's music on its own, match and download your music on Apple servers and make it available online to all devices that support it. But its completely independent of iTunes game.

If you have subscribed to iTunes game will charge you for it, regardless of Apple's music.

  • Some Notes on iCloud library on a Mac

iCloud photo library is a great way to keep the libraries in sync across several Macs. Most of the changes made on a Mac will update on all Macs that also use iCloud photo library (we'll ignore for now iOS devices).

Exceptions to the rule: (use pictures and iCloud library on several Macs - Apple Support)

    • Projects does not synchronize: books, cards, calendars and slideshows
    • Thumbnails of faces doesn't sync, faces only available tags.
    • Not referenced photos download to iCloud photo library at all.

A library of Photos it takes on a volume formatted Mac OS extended (journaled), if you want to use iCloud photo library.  https://help.Apple.com/photos/Mac/1.0/?lang=en#/pht211de786

Not all media items can download on iCloud photo library. If the photo library has been upsized from iPhoto or Aperture, it can contain media, which are not compatible with iCloud photo library, for example some audio file format, or TIFF images high resolution. These will show as 'Local' only at the bottom of the display of Photos.

Because the version of your photo library iCloud can miss information compared to the local version, a library of Photos to iCloud recovery can be frozen. Always keep a good local backup.

Sometimes Photos will begin to download the complete library again to iCloud to compare it to the version of iCloud. This new download may take a very long time. For example, complete my library with 36000 necessary pictures a week to download it again.

A new download will occur after the following events:

Try to avoid these situations, if possible.  Photos's repeated outages can cause a repair of the library, but also issues permission, when you use the library of Photos from different user accounts.

Ahh, very useful information.  And show me how meet the requirement of 'Ask a Question' new specialties when there isn't a question at hand.  Thank you.

  • Apple music turn on and iCloud library

Hi, I initially activated music Apple iCloud library during my 3 month trial and he has deleted all my music on my iPhone/iPad and iMac playlists and I had to reset all my devices to factory settings and start over again and recreate playlists. I am interested in the reactivation of apple's music once again.  It will remove all my playlists again if I reactive on all my devices?

also I have an iPod classic 160 gb that I use on a regular basis, how does this affect apple music?

    Thanks in advance

    Alistair

If you have created playlists for music in your iTunes library, then those should not be affected by the Apple music. That said you should always run Time Machine or another backup solution in case something goes wrong.

If you re-enable music Apple and iTunes in the cloud corresponds to all the tracks in your library and available to any eligible device that supports music Apple. Securities without correspondence will be downloaded and available for broadcast as well as iTunes Match made. Once this process is complete, you can create new playlists that incorporate the musical Apple or make use of the Apple held selections in the sections 'For You' and 'New' to iTunes and the app music iOS.

Note that Apple music is protected by DRM and devices must have wifi or cell phone to confirm your subscription before you can listen to or download songs from Apple's music. So your iPod Classic won't work with Apple music. Unfortunate but that's its something that will not change.

  • ICloud for Apple music activation will damage my iTunes library?

I agree with Apple's music and I understand that if I want to add pieces of Apple's music in my iTunes library I must activate iCloud. I have so far resisted doing this since all reports of permanent damage to your library master iTunes at the time where Apple music was introduced. It means your iTunes library will be scanned and anything in the catalog of music Apple is copied in your iCloud, but at a lower speed to ICloud. Music you have (I have 1700 titles of a CD, I added that I bought) is not in the catalog will be copied in iCloud, but at a lower rate. But I was warned of the following problems. Does anyone know if all those who have been set? Of course, I keep a backup of everything on my Mac, but I'm afraid of damaging my iTunes library. I've read about problems are:

    1. DRM is added to the music you own and copied to your iTunes library.
    2. Music you have will be converted at any bit rate and a different format (I use MP3) and copied in your library.
    3. Many only find albums that they have got iTunes tracks scrambled, metadata for artist names and track names got scrambled, and playlists got out of order.
    4. Album cover and the track got corrupted and replaced with incorrect art.

I know things are not supposed to be true based on the Apple FAQ, but they occurred when music Apple and iOS 9 first came out. These questions definitely resolved?

    1. no DRM will not be added to your own music and copied into your iTunes Library UNLESS you decide to delete your original files and then re - upload to your computer's iTunes library. Or if you have set up a second computer share the same Apple ID and download the tracks to this second computer.

2 not - yet as answer #1 - if you delete your original files and then re-download. You will receive versions Apple music that - according to what bitrate you torn initially to-may or may not be a lower data rate.

    3. Yes, it happens. But most often it happens when you try to listen to music on other computers or devices. There was reports of these types of problems in their library (the one people used as source to configure BCTI) original iTunes and that's why it makes sense to have a backup of your original files. But, that being said, I've been using AM / BCTI since it began and I saw only occasional and minor problems with my metadata on my original library. However, I've seen a lot of questions on the iPhone and iPad that share my ID Apple and iCloud music library - mainly the wrong version of a song being substituted for the one I have in my library (the original) iMac iTunes.

    4 Yes - See answer #3.

Yet once again, most of these problems happen either (1) on the secondary devices you use with your music library to iCloud or (2) when people decided - usually to save hard drive space - to remove their original files and then replace with others of their MEMBER.

  • iCloud Apple music status is incorrect

I have about 50 + songs that tend to sync my iPod Classic because they (wrongly) show Apple music iCloud status.

The songs are all ripped to my own CD or LP/EPs and imported music in iTunes.

I use two Match iTunes and am a subscriber of Apple's music. My version of iTunes is 12.4.3.1.

Old bandages show removing the download (song) and the new download should be properly thru, but a test of several different songs give the same incorrect state music Apple iCloud.

Someone at - there a way to fix this?

    Thank you

    David

Yes, I had this problem also. I contacted apple support and their engineers reset my library to an end and it solved the problem, but there are a few songs that could not be reset, in which case Apple gave me the credit to buy the song again, and that fixed the issue

bbEst thing to do is to contact Apple support speak to a Manager or consultant and explain to them and you want to reset your library. You may need to disable iCloud music library while reset happens that it worked for me, it will be useful

  • iTunes game - iCloud status - 'Apple Music'

    Hey guys,.

You are looking for some kind of fix to my iTunes library. I recently decided to try downloading my entire library on the cloud using iTunes game (decided against the free Google game option as I want it to be integrated into all my iOS devices) but I noticed that some of my songs are returned with a status of 'Apple Music' to iCloud instead of "Linked" or "downloaded."

A quick google reveals that this means he was a native of Apple music, but these are direct mp3 downloaded from my iTunes library (when I right, click on the song-> Get Info-> file-> type: MPEG audio file). My dilemma is that if I delete my original file and finally want to re - re-download the file offline, changes to 'Sort of file' 'Music of Apple', which I found out, is a file locked of DRM.

This isn't what I want because I don't plan to keep a subscription Apple music forever (only have it because Telstra offered it free for 12 months on a postpaid plan) and I'd like to keep all my music on my iCloud library all without DRM.

Does anyone know a work-around for this? Very much appreciated!

    Thank you!

    Hello

If the State of cloud is displayed as 'Apple Music', it is a mistake. I sometimes noticed that during the matching process, other titles show first music Apple but shortly after the matching process ends they change correspondents or download.

First of all, try to go to file > library and select Update library iCloud music and let the match you scan library. If this does not resolve the problem, remove the beaches full of your library, then readd to your back ups.

  • How transefer library of music to another device (Apple Music)

I just purchased a subscription to the music of Apple and added music from my existing iTunes about 1400 songs library (not all songs have been purchased directly through iTunes but most were). Once I enabled the Apple music subscription however, my Macbook is no longer directly sync to my iPhone. This includes all my previous music and playlists as well. I would really only two devices to have the same things, but I can't figure out how to transfer all the music on my iPhone since my Macbook that contains my complete library. Can someone help me please understand the best way to complete this transfer without having to download all via wi - fi?

https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7163823 - if you subscribed to Apple music or iTunes game, you will not have to run manually or synchronize music on a device in iTunes. Synchronize your music is made by iCloud and all of your eligible music should appear there. Movies can always be synchronized.

  • I recently joined Apple music, but my library of Apple's music is not appearing on my device.

II have had Apple music before, but when I started my subscription again, my library has not come. And he wouldn't let me get and make songs abailable offline on my iPad.

Make sure you have iCloud lit library.

go to settings, music and then switch to iCloud library (also make sure that you are logged on the account that you have registered for the Apple's music)
