  Press CTRL + ALT + DELETE and bring up the Task Manager > move in process > select Explorer > end task and it will restart and if all goes well it will bring to the top of your screen properly.

  Your computer is completely up-to-date with all the updates?

  Note I'm not a fan of setting hibernation or sleep a computer there, it can sometimes lead to problems (as you see)

  I have an iPhone with 9.3.2 6 and a PowerBook with 10.11.5. I went into preferences and set up my photo stream. It will work sort of sporadically for a while and then it stops just work. I'll go into both and disable preferences and turn it back on and then it will maybe work. I find all kinds of stuff online about it does not (but they seem to come from a couple of years.)

  Both are on the same wifi.

  Can someone explain how to keep photo stream work?

  I have to open the App Photo all the time on my laptop? Do I really need to force close the photo application or camera on my phone?

  Try the following:

  Disable my stream of photos and iCloud, photo sharing in the system/iCloud preferences window

  

  and in the Photo iCloud preferences window.

  

  Reboot and reactivate the two respectively. It helps to start photo stream.

  I'm having the same problem. I tried logging and in. Turn off and turn on and restart the computer between those. Apple gives instructions on troubleshooting and a fix for this. I have a lot of photos that I rely on pc for work. I hate to pull the cable out when it usually works its been in seconds. All the info I found was 3 years before and perhaps not relevant to today.

• iCloud, no matter what I do not backup iPhone

  So two weeks ago I started getting this iCloud error message saying that a backup was not possible, due to lack of space.

  I went to iCloud settings on the phone and saw that there is 2 GB of free, so I couldn't get why the backup would not work. I tried to manually back up and it never works, but it does not say why. The backup will just not complete. Tried several times.

  In the screen of the device, it is said that the backup size is 1 GB.

  Then I toggled the backup photos OFF to free space, and now I have 3.6 GB free. It will not again from backup. Not automatically (so that connected) and not manually.

  It has been two weeks since the last backup. I don't know what to do. Any ideas?

  I got "backup could not be completed" error message for months on my new iPhone 6 more. Tried everything. I finally fixed it this week: WIFI RESET network settings! And it worked! I hope this helps!

  As you mentioned not directly - do you have activated my PhotoStream also in iCloud Photos for Mac preferences?

  Photos > Preferences > iCloud:

  

  My Photo stream will only show in the photo library, which has been enabled in your system in pictures photo library > Preferences > General.

  This option should be grayed out to show that it is enabled.
