  I'm trying to set a background image for my office. I have 2 problems. 1. sometimes when I select the image I want that it does not appear in the images available to choose from and it allows me to apply it to the desktop, 2. If I can get it not let me apply it (which isn't often), it only appears for about 5 minutes then goes away. Help, please!

  Try the following and see if it helps:

  Open the image by clicking right on-> open with-> Windows Picture and Fax Viewer

  Then click the icon for the drive down.  A 'Copy To' window opens.  Change "Save as type" "BMP", click the "Desktop" icon to the left, then click "Save".  A copy of the file with an extension of .bmp file should appear on your desktop.

  Then copy/drag the .bmp file in the C:\Windows folder.

  It should now appear as one of the standard choice when paper changing desktop wallpaper.  Sometimes Windows works better with .bmp files.

  It's a little hard to tell from the screenshot, but it seems that you have not set filling of the Page or the browser fill and drew instead of boxes and filled fo the semi-transparent box page, and the graphic that is in the background, or perhaps it is a placed image arranged behind everything else? If Yes, it is certainly not what you want to do the filling of browser and you'd probably also be better to use the filling of the Page.

  Click on the words "Browser-deflector" and then click on the folder icon to set a browser fill for your background image, select delete the image that is currently in the background so you can see filling of the browser.

  You are probably confused because you can't select rectangles is home, the stars and the colored background.

  Go to the object menu and click on "Unlock all on the page" to unlock all locked elements and after that, you will be able to select, move and individually control each object on the page. The stars is just a rectangle with a picture fill configuration.

  Try to remove these two lines and see if you like the look best.  Moreover, there is no reason to have the style of attachment of background at all - there is nothing that could scroll in this anchor tag!

  I use Dreamweaver CS4. I created a site on my computer. D:Data\Local_sites\Gravity_Works. In this directory using Dreamweaver, I created 3 files - css, images and models. In the pictures folder, I have an image - bg_body_winter.jpg. In the Templates folder, I have Gravity-works - Home01.dwt. I have created a new form of the page the template file and named index - test01.html and saved directly in the folder Gravity_Works

  I have this css code in a css in the css folder file:

  The image appears as it should be in Dreamweaver Live View. It does not appear in Design view. It does not appear in the preview of the local file in a browser. The image does not appear when you look at the index file - test01.html that is located on the server by using the link above. The specified background color appears but not the image.

  I'm confused about how I should name the path to the image. I think it must be relative root of the site so that anywhere, I have download the website, the image can be found. Can someone tell me how I should name the path to the image properly.

  I feel that I should know how doing this and looked around for help online and tutorial books I have, but I just don't get it.

  In your linked css file the path to the background image must be as shown below (note points both in front of the bar oblique leader)

  }

  If you have this image, the browser is trying to find a 'pictures' folder in your "css" folder and it appears no one.

  If you include the colon before the first slash the browser search the folder 'images' outside your "css" folder and in the folder root site.

• Background image in the Table prevents repeat

  Since CS4 has unfortunately removed the button background Image for the tables, I've found a workaround neat on the internet: s elect the cell, and then open the tag Inspector panel, click the attributes button and show the display of the list and click inside "bottom" and use the folder icon to access the background image.  However, I can't stop the image to repeat.  I tried everything I can think of.  Can someone help me?  No code answers, please.  Thank you!

  Well, in this case, the answer is no.

  Quite honestly, if you are able to get a response on the internet and using tags inspector to add a background image, you should be able to follow simple instructions to manipulate the CSS.

  To add a non-repetitive background image to a table cell (or anything, for that matter), you use CSS. Create a CSS class like this in the head of the page:

  Select the cell in the table and then choose background from the class menu in the property inspector.

  Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. As this feature has been added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there are still some problems.

  You will need to restart Firefox before this takes effect so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

  Then perform the following steps:

  1. Click the menu button

     

     then select the Options under Windows or Preferences on Mac or Linux.

  2. Select the Advanced Panel, then on the general tab.
  3. Uncheck the use hardware acceleration when available.
  4. Restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
