Icon for blackBerry Smartphones Strange ianccessible

On my smartphone 8900 about an hour there is a blue message icon appeared next to the new message on the front screen icon.  It has a 1 in a red circle next to it, which makes me assume that it is a message from somewhere, but I can'r, select it and have no idea of how to access it or really what it is?

The blue icon looks a bit like the blackberry logo so maybe it's a message of Balckberry, but if so I have no idea where to go within the unit to opne it?  Doesn't anyone have any ideas?

Thank you.

This looks like a BlackBerry Messenger notification. You have a message or a contact to add to BlackBerry Messenger.

Find your BlackBerry Messenger application, instant messaging, or the Applications folder is sometimes found in the folder.

You see one that looks like yours, below?

I downloaded gtalk for my bb bold 9780 and can't find the icon! I can only reach gtalk if I type in 'talk' to research...

Is there a way I can add its icon in the tray "everything"? It does not appear in the downloads either... :/ BUT I downloaded it probably since its among applications downloaded in the bb world app and I can use, chat, etc.

I now how to move icons, 'move to folder', etc., which is not the problem. but gtalk is somehow special or I don't know... I really like an icon for him... Please help me!

Another problem: when I go to Setup, where you can configure the e-mail, the Messenger of bb, social networks, bluetooth, wifi account, all the icons, I see a green check mark, but not to the instant messeging icon. No, if I select the configuration gtalk instant messeging either.

  • Strange icon for blackBerry Smartphones

    Hi all

I was wondering if anyone can help?

I have a yellow circle that I can only describe as similar to the browser only without the arrow icon.

Randomly, he appeared on my screen with a 1 next to it (like any other notification would be - email, text, etc.), but when I click on to him, he just need me to the calendar screen (as it would if you had a message).

I checked the guide of the icon as kindly posted in someone elses request & is not there.

I am new to owning a BB, but love it!

    Thanks in advance.

It's a push browser message if it is blue.
If it's yellow, it's a WAP push message.

    1. open your main message folder.
    2. press the Menu button (on the left of the trackball).
    3. click on view files.
    4. click on browser Push (or WAP Push Messages) messages.
    5. read or remove the messsage.

Advertising of blackBerry App World. A 3rd party app (in my case, Slide Lock Pro) trying to beat the buzz I guess.

The corresponding message should appear in your messages folder.

  • Icon for blackBerry Smartphones on the homescreen - yellow globe

I've only had my Blackberry for a few days, but an icon appeared on there earlier today which is exactly where appear new SMS and e-mail notifications. It is a yellow globe as the browser icon and has a '1' beside him. I don't know what that means and would appreciate any assistance in finding a way to get rid of it or open anything symbolizing.

    Thank you, caroline.

A yellow globe... Open your main messages folder, and then click the Menu (to the left of the trackball) to SHOW the FOLDERS button.

Look first in the WAP messages, and clear or open all messages.

If this isn't the case here, check browser messages too.

  • Missing icons for blackBerry Smartphones

my world of bb and my phone icons are missing, don't know if are more like new to this lark bb

a hard reset would bring back my apps?

    Help, please

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

If this does not work, then please go back and try to explain more fully what happens. Some details help prevent us to guess. For example, what level of BB OS are you on? What things are missing - icons or apps (you said both)? How do you know they are missing? If they are apps, how do you know that the software is still installed?

  • New icon for blackBerry Smartphones? Circle with an arrow pointing diagonly, with a red dot

    Hi people.

A new icon has just appeared... no idea what/how it happened.

It is a circle with an arrow pointing to the South West (if it was a compass). It also has a red dot on the top right of the circle.

Has anyone experienced this and know what it is?

    Thanks in advance

The icon indicates that there is a message unread, referring probably to the fact that there is an update available for a certain application in the BlackBerry App World.

Since this is a generic message and not related to a specific account, the message must be visible by clicking on the Messages icon.

Open the messages application/folder and you should find the message it informing you that there is an update available in App World. The message should send you to the appropriate application that must be updated.

I don't think that you need to update the application to get rid of the icon; simply open the message should clear.

    See you soon!

  • Selections of icon for blackBerry Smartphones?

Well, here's one for you! I am managing my main page icons by condensing them into separate folders and when I mark my folder with a name, I scroll down to record, the icon box highlights as to give me the option to change the icons. Is this possible, because I can't make something happen and I tried to push all the right buttons? It would be nice to have a choice of different icons to choose from, instead of having to scroll on each folder to read what he's happy is.

OS 4.5 is available for your device.

  • Missing icon for blackBerry Smartphones

    Hello

The blackberry app world icon disappeared from my home screen, I tried to download app world once again, but no icon appeared, someone at - it solutions?

First of all, make sure that the icon is not hidden.  While on your home screen, press the menu key and select Show all or show all if one is available.  If that isn't find it, go to your Applications list to see if it is on your phone.  You can find that by going to your home screen in Options > device > application and pick up there.  If it's there, highlight it with your mouse, press the menu key and select Remove.  Once you have done this, from the browser on your phone, go to www.blackberry.com/appworld to redownload.

Let us know if that helps you.

  • New icon for blackBerry Smartphones

This morning I woke up to a new icon on my phone that I'm not familiar with. I thought it was appworld telling me there was an update available for one of my downloaded apps (there is for Pandora) but after downloading the upgrade, the icon is still there, after restart and all, any suggestions? It's a small arrow with a circle around it and the number 1

Go to your 'Messages' folder Find the message that you have this App World update (it's probally in bold) and mark it as open. The alert system will disappear.

  • Foreign icon for blackBerry Smartphones

Hey all, hope you all help me. I recently pulled out my old bb 9000 (unused for a month) to use it, but discovered an icon that I do not understand when I load it. I tried to find it in the manual, but I can't find a similar one. hope that help you solve my mystery.

    Thank you in advance.

If you left your phone for a month without using it, the battery is probably dead.  This symbol indicates that he is in charge.

Have you tried to use your phone and you can not, or all right and you were just curious?

You have a upgraded application in App World, or App World has an update.

Go to MyWorld to the upgrade and look on your BlackBerry in the list of notification messages and read it or clear it.
