  My experience may be useful if anyone thinks they have a problem with the battery life.

  My Tablet battery suddenly began to sell out very quickly and I thought that it was due to a software update.   I did a factory restore, but still no solution.   So I pulled out my new micro sd card that I bought off Ebay and the problem disappeared.

  Tablet is now working like new with a very good battery life.

  Problem was caused by the cheap sd card.   Come back my money from the Ebay seller, but should probably buy a well-known brand.   Very happy with the A1-810.

• ThinkPad Edge 15 slow CPU during battery

  With this laptop, the CPU usage increases significantly when the battery is charging. If I am on runs on battery or it is fully charged, I don't have this problem. The CPU remains at 2-3% while browsing the internet, for example. But while the battery is charging internet browsing will send the CPU up to 90-100%. It is not just internet browsing, but any task, such as Sony Vegas running, using Skype, watching a movie, etc.

  Yet once again, this only happens if the battery is charging. Everything works well, a lot more slowly. All power management settings are the same, whether it is running on battery or charging with the AC adapter, so it isn't that. I'm also using the AC adapter 65 w provided with the computer and the adapter would become very warm to the touch while charging. Does anyone have a solution for this?

  I scoured the forums and was able to find another user having the same problem with the same machine. Unfortunately, the thread is never come to a conclusive end, but a mod, topmahof, had a good idea. If possible, it would be a good test to use a 90W Adapter to recharge your system and see if the problem persists. The 90W Adapter is available and sold for your system, so there is no danger in using one. If you have a friend who has an or just a spare lying around, it would be great if you could try it.

• MacBook Air incredibly slow

  My MacBook Air has recently become extremely slow with text behind my typing, windows taking ages to open and freezing programs regularly. It seems even affect my internet speed but I don't know if it's possible? Chrome now takes some time to load the sites, and even Google takes a little longer to suggest research or results.

  The mac is old enough (2010 with a new logic board and the screen in 2011) and the battery life is quite short, but I need it to last about 10 months. It's slow when I use it without the charger and slower when its battery is low: it is more likely to operate normally when charging but still more often sluggish. Last week, the disk was almost full, so I deleted about 25 GB of files. I'm now 27GB to 120 GB free and he seems not to have made a difference in the speed of market - I intend to have a more thorough sort on my files in a few weeks but it is frustratingly slow at times, the prospect of a day which is not a good time!

  I've tempted by the promises made CleanMyMac but was dissuaded by some threads here - someone has any suggestions, please?

  It would be easier solve problems for you if you have downloaded and run Etrecheckthen copy and pasted the results in your response here.

  I understand that the laptop was running very slow, so you tried to do a restore of the F11 key, but received a message that your PC / device needs to be repaired. A required device is not connected or is not accessible, with a prompt to insert the recovery media. Did you create recovery media? If this isn't the case, you can reinstall Windows 10 using the tool of media. Windows 10. Once you have installed Windows 10 and did all the updates of Windows, download, install, and run the wizard help HP   to help with any recommended drivers and updates from HP. • X 230 oly 1.2 GHZ when battery removed

  I own a Lenovo X 230 with an I5 3320. I noticed that the CPU remains at 1.2 ghz when I remove the battery and the charger (default 65 Watt) is connected. This I have a kind of boring because I normally remove the battery my I use a laptop in my home.

  But with only 1.2 ghz, the laptop is a bit slow so the battery must remain in the laptop.

  I put all energy options for maximum performance, but the CPU uses only a 12 multiplikator.

  My company bought about 30 x computers laptops HP 840 G1. They work well except for a couple who perform well on a/c power, but are very slow using the battery. I put the power option to High Performance, but there is no difference. I swapped the battery of laptops that work well on battery but no change. I scanned the laptops from virus/spyware/malware but there isn't. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  The problem is resolved. Under another link on the HP Forum, I changed the LAN/WLAN switching OFF and this corrects the problem. Update the BIOS and driver Ethernet did not make a difference

• Satellite L305D suddenly stops

  I have a problem with my L305D and maybe you could help me. I was working with my computer to my bed and it suddenly turned off. It is perhaps because the air at the base was not well in traffic. It's extrange because I used to do the same with my old A215 and nothing happens (perhaps more powerful processing capability of my L305).

  The strange thing with this is that after the shut down, the power button does not work nor the battery signal. My power button is back after a few minutes later, but I have to use the connected computer because the slower to be battery. There is no protection for this computer system? is this normal? The computer is realatively new, I am really sad because I love the Toshiba computers and I also work in bed.

  Many people make this mistake and block cooling vents downstairs.
  To be honest, I can imagine your laptop has reached the critical temperature of material and simply disabled.
  Either way, one thing is not unclear to me. The battery completely empty when the laptop is turned off? Inside of the laptop, there are several temperature sensors, and when the critical temperature is reached for laptop computer will be automatically cut off. This will protect mechanism should protect against property damage laptop.

  When this happens after a while, you should contact laptop AC power and be able to restart your laptop.

  I hope that the post of Kijanasmart helped by your problem.  And, Yes, there are reasons, why these problems occur.

  Think of your BB as you would your PC.  If the memory becomes low, your device is subject to abnormal behavior such as you encounter.  There are several things you can do to help prevent this however.

  1. When applications closed, always us the menu-close option.  Don't just use the arrow key to the left.  If apps continue to run in the background consumes memory.
  2. Check your free # (go to options registered) try not to let your file get free below 15 MB.  If this is the case, close some applications if they are open and clear the cache of your browser (open content operations-clear cached browser-menu-options-cache & cookies if there are very many.
  3. Whenever you download and install (or remove) a new/old request, it's a good idea to restart your BB.
  4. If your BB seems slow, do a battery pull.  It will seek to recover some memory as well.

  There is also the free app called Quickpull whose spoken Kijanasmart.  QuickPull will simulate a battery pull without having to actually pull the battery. Check it out here: Quickpull

  I have mine set to reboot every morning at 4:30, so my BB is refreshed and ready to go every day. Sometimes, however, a real battery pull appears to work even better when you have installed 3rd party applications or when your BB feels just slow of prolonged use (like display in these forums bravohelen:.)
  When you have abnormal behavior in your BB a battery pull is often useful to clear it up too.

  I have a DV8000. There is a huge amount of fan noise. I do not mean that the fan is broken - I read the advice on the control for this. I mean that the fan is always on high speed. When I got it, the fan would come only occasionally. I put as many parameters as possible to avoid the fan, preferring more slow performance and battery efficiency rather than superior performance. And for the first year, it worked: the fan is stuck off almost all the time, unless I was running something really CPU intensive.

  But the fan is now regardless of the settings that I chose to keep it off. When I start first, after the computer has been turned off for a while, the fan is off. But within minutes, the fan turns on and stays on. My House is not hot. The computer is in a cool place. The CPU usage is low. The ventilation openings are not blocked. Everything suggests that the fan will not turn on. But it doesn't...

  Please help if you have any advice.

  My dv8000 did the same thing you mentioned. fan goes crazy after being only about 5 min and then started making grinding noises. Well, he was so bad in the end I did decided to disassemble, it and yes it is def not for the faint-hearted.  When you take it apart the fan is the last piece that you get. After an hour and finally undo the 4 fan screws that connect to the motherboard it just fell. The dough had dried just upward as said in a previous post. I also took the fan cover and inside was a lot of lint inside blocking copper fins.  I cleaned everything, am new dough for the cpu and the heat tape that is required to connect the cooler to the nvidea chip and chip. Put all back together and were surprised at the new found silence even after the computer for hours and play games ect.    I found a manual online showing how to disassemble but you should always make a good note of what screws go where.  As it was easy to put a screw in hold the motherboard. so when you put the screws of the box last few in, you can't because there is already a screw in there deep inside the computer that you shouldn't have put it in. (hope that makes sense). Total repair time 3 hours and a trip to the computer store. But so completely now. ;-) . Thank you all. your messages where a great help and I bined he or she sold on ebay of spare parts, if I had not found.

• Manual keyboard Acer Iconia W700-6499

  My Acer Iconia W700-6499 came with an Acer toteable stand covered with leather with a built-in keyboard.  There is no paper or electronic manual covering this accessory.  I couldn't find one online.  The problem is that I would like to know how to engage the switch next to the battery lights on the keyboard.  There must be a way to turn it off, or just drains the battery internal when the Tablet is in the stand and not connected on the support in plastic.  someone had this problem?

  I found the "Acer keyboard case Addedum" document that accompanies my W700.  The case has the model # KT - 1252 and there are a few entries in the section Archives 2013 these discussion Forums.  I don't see a way to attach the document but may be able to copy / paste If someone is desperate.
