2) if you run the virus scan of the program which is infected with the virus will be deleted. Therefore, reinstall the program. Also, if files and folders are affected by the virus, while they might even get deleted.
Method 2:
If the problem persists, I suggest you to set up the computer in a clean boot state. Setting the system in a clean boot state will help you determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

How to add sounds to the light icons in the taskbar when events happening?
Well, my question is maybe very simple, I hope I can get help here, I ve been wondering how to make the icons on the taskbar sound when something happens for example when you receive a message 'Skype', the light of the task bar, but in my case they do not all sound the answer to that might be in the Skype settings, but, I want is doing the actual windows to make a sound to tell me something that is happening there, and of course I can chose the sound of that.
the example of "Skype" might not be the best here, lets say another software, when is reduced and something happens, call your attention to the icon in the taskbar with start to glow, but sometimes I'm in another place, or looking for another way I could not miss this event in this software need my immediately attention with sound, I could turn on my loud speakers so I will be heard.
Thank you
Hello Derwyn,
Thank you for your response.
I appreciate your time and your concern.
Unfortunately, the desired Windows sound is not included in the Windows sound scheme.
However, in the article in the previous post on changing the sounds of the computer, you can see under the heading 'Windows Explorer' under the window 'events of the program'inside'sound'. You can find the other sounds of Windows Explorer as blocked pop-up navigation block, empty, trash, move menu items and so on.
Thank you

Volume and network of the missing icons in the taskbar
Most of the time, not always, when I turn on my computer I have no network and volume icons in the taskbar. When I right click on the taskbar and go to properties, then the notification area, sometimes I am able to click on them and then click 'apply', but other times they are grey. I never had this problem before, but I had to completely restore the computer recently. My OS is Vista Home Premium. Thanks for any help.

display the shortcut icon on the taskbar
Does anyone know if you can have a shortcut icon in your taskbar instead of the application that it points toward? To clarify, I am not interested in the use of the Quick Launch bar, but the taskbar itself.
For example: when I launch an application, this APPLICATION icon will appear in the taskbar. However, I have a custom made for this application shortcut icon (I don't like native applications icon) and I want to see MY icon in the taskbar as opposed to native applications icon.
Is it possible, please let me know?
my friend who is not possible in xp, but can be done in win7. switch to win7.

Original title: Internet wireless connection
I use a PC & a cable modem wireless to connect to the Internet. When I start the computer, sometimes the icon in the taskbar indicates that it is connected to a network that is not identified. I wait a few minutes until what he says at last he is identified & seems to work very well. The only other issue I see is once in a while after it is connected, I noticed that it is to identify the network connection, but I see no problem to surf the web. This could be a looming problem with the modem, or is it something else? Should I consider it as my modem is still under warranty? ARRIS / Motorola wants to charge a diagnostic fee is why I write on this forum first.
Thank you

You can use the search bar in the Navigation toolbar to do research if you don't have one open (home) page of the topic: homepage which has its own search bar.
