IdeaPad 500 connected to TV - now the screen is blank

Hello - we have a 500-15ACZ Lenovo Ideapad laptop. My son connected the laptop to a TV with an HDMI cable. The TV and the computer screen showed the same thing.

It has disconnected and closed the laptop screen to carry it out in another room. When he opened this back to the top of the computer screen was empty. He tried to restart/reboot the laptop, but it is still a blank screen. Is there a combo Fn + key that modifies the display? I can't find documentation on it anywhere...

The power light is on and you hear the operation of the hard drive - we can see anything. Can someone tell me what Miss them us? I'm sure it's something easy... Thanks in advance.

We went back to the TV. Turn off the laptop, plugged into the TV and started. BOTH screens were display. We have unplugged the TV and the computer screen remained.

STRANGE. But works again!

  • Satellite L750 - BIOS check error and now the screen is blank

Good yesterday my laptop was working fine and was recommended to an update of the BIOS so I downloaded and tried while he was hooked up to update the BIOS, at half way through she says check error and nothing else, I therefore closed the BIOS window thing and close the cover I did not stop the computer.

Today, I opened the lid and just fan continues to operate and the CPU light flashing but nothing else. What should I do? I tried the F12 and F2 method, nothing happens the screen does not come on, I will try to use an external monitor later in the day, but I don't think that is the problem.

Thanks in advance even if I'm not all green if it's a BIOS problem. The laptop is less than 6 months old.

    Hey,.

    > I'll try to use an external monitor later today, but I don't think that's the problem.
I put also don't think the monitor is the problem if it happened since the BIOS update.

    > if this is a BIOS problem
With other words, turned something went wrong during the update of the BIOS and now it s a BIOS problem. Updating the BIOS is always a little risky If you do the update only if it of really necessary. Don t update the BIOS if you see there is a new version, but everything is ok. Never touch a running system ;)

In any case, now you need an ASP to get rid of this aid. Guys have to reflash the ROM module professional tools:

It makes no difference if the noebook is 6 months or 6 years ;)

Don't know what to say; you could see visiting an Apple store with genius if

    Hi Bilipino,

You have more than one display card? Try to connect your monitor to the another card and see if you can get the display.

Take a look this Apple Support article: use iTunes to restore the iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

  • Random buttons and now the screen is tense! Help!

Help, please!  One of my friends thought he was being funny keys at random, multiple at once, when I told him not to do so.  He pushed the buttons especially on the right side and part of the middle.  I don't know if it was a specific button or a little push at the same time that caused my screen to go wide.  Now, the screen looks stretched.  There is nothing in the settings, I found that it will change back and I don't know exactly what buttons were pushed to get there.  I really need help.  I'm horrible with computers and nothing on the web has been able to help me, YET!  I hope that someone out there knows the answer or is willing to help me understand.

Right-click on the desktop and choose screen resolution. Choose it
the default for your screen, as resolution its documentation says you.

And don't let ever your 'friend' near your computer again.

  • Qosmio X 770 turns on but the screen remains blank

So my Qosmio X 770 turns on but the screen remains blank, it was randomly turning every so often, but now it is just blank.

The hd works fine again, I tried to plug it into a TV to see if it works, but no signal is found. I was informed by a friend that it could be a problem with the graphics card, I wonder if it can simply be exchanged if I buy a new one or if he joined, and I have to replace the whole motherboard?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Even if the HARD drive is faulty, the laptop should be able to IT and you should see the home Toshiba on the internal display screen.
If its definitely NOT drive HARD problem.

You said that you have connected the laptop to the TV. You see the start of Toshiba on the external monitor (TV) screen? Are you able to access the BIOS by pressing F2?

If this is not the case, there is certainly a hardware problem.
It could be a fault of memory modules, graphics card or the same motherboard malfunction could be possible.

GPU problems or the motherboard, the whole motherboard must be replaced and that's expensive fix because mobo belongs more expensive laptop.

  • The screen is blank!

I bought and 8 GB Clip a few weeks earlier.  I updated the new firmware the day I bought it.  Last week the player would skip/pause from time to time... while playing songs.  Then 2 days ago... He seemed to be running slow while navigating through the artists. I could hold and scroll... He would go to 10... then put pause... and then continue.  Now, the screen will not come.  The blue circle lights... and he plays songs... but I can't navigate anything now.  I tried a soft reset and hard reset.  Any other suggestions?  Earlier today... the display is mysteriously is for about an hour... Now, he has been out of the rest of the day.  A few days ago... I went from the MTS mode in mode MSC... formatted drive... and songs of reloaded.  Would this have something to do with it?  I can connect to the computer... and see the files on the PC... but still no display on the clip.

Well, it seems that you have done all you can (and correctly). I think it's time to call 1-866-Sandisk for a replacement under warranty RMA.

  • dv7 work, but the screen is blank

    I had my dv7-4180us for a month.

The screen just deleted one day... the backlight of the lcd screen is turned on, and when I connect to an external monitor it show that the laptop itself works very well.

When booting the laptop, the screen flickers when the hp logo comes on with the 'Starting Windows' screen (it flashes briefly and remains off even when you press F8 to access the BIOS screen). A cursor then comes to the screen (with the circle "busy" thing), for approximately 2 seconds, during which the display IS stable. Then that's it. You hear the sound when the logon screen is supposed to appear, and also when Windows actually loads. Occasionally, it sparkles, but the screen remains blank with the LCD backlight on. Fan comes on intermittently, as usual, all lights are functioning normally.

Once she nomalised by itself for about 2 days, then deleted again. Windows restore did not work. The only support of HP said something had to perform a recovery, as it could be a windows problem. But it won't have the same BIOS display!

    Help!

Hi again sent to the laptop to hp. came back, with the display now works correctly.
On the worksheet they have ticked 'View' and 'Cable '. So, it is obviously a cable problem.

    Thank you all.
