  Hello, I ordered a Lenovo IdeaPad Z585 off newegg because of a sale they have past, but I had a question about upgrading the ram. I guess that the laptop will come with 2x2gb sticks at 1600 mhz, and I was wondering if I would be able to replace one of the 2 GB sticks with a stick of 4 GB 1600 to make 6 GB all together. It would recognize or I have to buy 2x4gb sticks? Thank you.

  Hello. I have a Lenovo IdeaPad z710. The power jack on the laptop was broken and I had to replace it. When I got the laptop back, I turned on it just to make sure that it is displayed.   I just wanted to know all it ended up being a bad diet. I tested it with a voltmeter and it was supposed to be of 20 v DC. NA not getting anything out of it. • IdeaPad Y460 suddenly stop without notice

  September 2010, I bought my laptop. In the last three days, my laptop closed by itself without any notice.

  The sudden cut of all was when I'm webcaming with a contact by using Windows Live Messenger. The second and third stop sudden is when I play video games (NFS Shift 2, Rainbow Six Vegas 2).

  I checked Windows 7 event viewer and I got this: event 41, Kernel-Power "the system has rebooted without stop properly first. This error can be caused if the system unresponsive, crashed or unexpected power loss. ».

  What is the cause of this and what can I do to solve this problem? I never have this problem before and I can play games or webcam with no sudden closing down.

  I found the problem. It's my Avast antivirus. I remember the first day, this problem occurred when I switched my antivirus Avast, my laptop suddenly closed during a video call session. I figured it was Avast so I removed it.

  Now I'm using another antivirus (one already installed before Avast). Tested video calling, making long gaming session, there is no sudden down closure even if my temperature reaches 95 degrees Celsius. It's certainly nothing to do with the material of my laptop. Thanks for the help anyway

  I bought the IdeaPad Y460. It has switchable graphics. I tried to do a right click on the battery icon, however, the functionality of the switch graph showed no upward. I don't find it anywhere either. The battery on my laptop button when you click it, is energy management program has nothing to allow the swapping of your graphics card. Help!

  It is not a battery icon green ideapad taskbar. Found the answer myself. Just to share, for those who is also having Y460, a physical switch located at the front of the laptop there to change the graphics. Alternatively, you can go to sea program to change the graphics in here.

  Uninstall the network drivers, restart your computer and install it again. Then check the problem persists.

  Disabling ipv6:

  -Right click on the network icon and select open the network and sharing Center.

  -in the window that appears, select "settings of the map changes.

  -in the network connections window, select the 'connection to the local network' for the interface network integrated (or whatever it's called), then "change settings of this connection" or file > properties.

  -in the connection properties page, clear the check box for "internet protocol version 6 (tcp/ipv6).

  -close all windows and restart your system.

  I am a very new user of lenovo and recently bought an Ideapad Y460.

  The default hard drive is 500 GB with a speed of 5400 RPM.

  I wanted to change my hard drive to an SSD hard to increase performance.

  Before doing so, I created a set of recovery plant (3 DVDs) discs using the pre-installed OneKey Rescue System.

• Y550P Trackpad doesn't work when you type

  I am running Win 7 Home Prem x 64 on my i7-720QM Y550P and if I move my mouse pointer using my trackpad and I type a letter, there is an offset second half before my trackpad responds again. This is a really annoying and unwanted feature.

  My friend had the white 14 "Ideapad Y460, and it doesn't have this problem.

  Any ideas on how to fix this or disable this option?

  I did not this exact procedure, but there are several guides that have been written. Here are 2 with screenshots.

  comes with 2 GB of memory and hard drive of 250 GB and Windows 7...

  No there is no WWAN / 3G... But could be released in future versions...

  Wireless standard is 54 MB (free field, 50 m - 100 m), there is no "300 MB n' expected Version...

  Memory 2 GB... dunno possiblitys update... but 2 GB is enough for 99% of cases...

• Question about IO on A2109 IdeaPad Ports

  Some adapters of angles will block the HDMI port. This isn't a problem for most things, but if you plan to keep your device plugged into the power supply, keyboard etc... You will not be able to access the mini HDMI.

  I just got two or three days old Lenovo IdeaPad z50-75, running on the FX-7500 AMD really happy about some things

  Firstly, I noticed just now that my CPU runs at 1.07 Ghz, before it was always more than 2 Ghz or so that was good... but maybe I've touched something somewhere in the settings powr or something and now it stays on 1.07 same when the cpu used well enough. I put the power plan to high performance and also Energy manager is configured using the high performance and Conservation mode is on... What is the holdup? why it is not itself clock upwards? I think it's slower than before... so any reference to what could cause this.

  I do not have a similar unit like yours, but try not to use the mode of conservation in conservation mode and see if you now have what you expect.

  After much research, I came to the conclusion that the ExpressCache is the cause.

  at the time wherever I've uninstalled it, issues disappeared.

  System will reboot without any problems, it will not be freez.

  Talked with Support and unfortunately, this seems to be a matter of HW.

  Given that I've owned only the laptop for less than 31 days I received a full refund/replacement code.

  I would say that anyone having the same problem, contact technical support and advises because that is the question to support him rather than S/F.

• IdeaPad Y580 occasional Lag in games question

  So I have a window 7 Lenovo IdeaPad Y580, I used it for less than a month, but something happened a little.
