Identification of disc XP

Is it possible for me to know which version of service pack for XP, I have watching the disc or the sleeve that it came?

If the disc is a disc of Microsoft it will specify which service pack is included (if it does not include a service pack). If the disk is a disk system machine oem, it must indicate if a service pack is included, but each system manufacturer brand their drives in their own way.

You can also find which service pack you are using in the System Properties window. under System , you will see which version you have and what service pack is installed (if any). To get the System Properties window click the Start button, then right-click on my computer and in the context menu, select Properties.

BTW - you should be running Windows XP with SP3 to continue to receive support (official support for Win XP SP2 ends July 13, 2010), see:

Support is ending for some versions of Windows

I hope this helps.

  • Recommend Blu - Ray burning software

    Hi all

I can find a BLu - Ray burner, but the software that allows you to burn BLu - Ray still seems a bit sketchy.

One below looks good, but many say that you must purchase additional software for blu - ray burning.

I have toast, but an older version and do not want to pay just to be able to burn blu = ray.

Is it safe to burn it to Blu - Ray in the FCX? This option requires no other software right? The iMac and FCX

What do you do with your DB? If you need to create sophisticated, you may need a Windows machine. If all you need is a reliable compiler and running something that reliable external combustion of FCPX, Toast gets my nod.

Burn inside FCPX works very well but it is facing issues like burning DVDs, especially subtle graphics or menu glitches that are difficult to track down or weird user errors.

    From the FCPX help system:

    DVD and Blu - ray

Use these destinations to burn your project or the clamp to standard definition (SD) DVD or Blu-ray-compatible disk, or to create a disc image (.img) file, you can copy on an external drive or burn to a disc later.

  • Problem of dualboot with LIKE 6-1090eo, no hard drive found new windows

    Hello

Im trying to make my Dualboot envy. Make a new partition for it. Everything was groovy. But now, I hit a wall: startup in windows install works fine, even copied files when started installing windows. But. When should I choose the destination for the installation, no drive must be found. I copied the drivers for the drive directly from windows for the installation media, install said no driver here, nono. This is the original hybrid drive came with the laptop. No systeminfo identifies the disc. Some say it's a record of intel, propably chipset's. Checked Bios, no probs there.

Oh great, what to do now? Change the player?

    SE on moro.

    Hello:

    Please try this...

Download the drivers from this link below (first or second file listed - 32 or 64 bit depending on the case).

    https://Downloadcenter.Intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?AGR=Y&ProdId=2101&DwnldID=23060&keyword=Intel+RAPI...

Extract the files on a usb flash drive.

With the flash player and the installation of W7 media connected to the computer, boot from the installation of W7 media.

After selecting the install now option, select the training - Advanced menu, Options and select the option load a driver.

You should now see the storage driver files listed.

If you check the box, it only includes the compatible driver.

Follow the prompts and should install W7.

  • The 220-1025PC Omni has a DVD burner compatible LightScribe?

I have a HP Pavilion Media Center a1310n desktop PC.  It has a DVD burner compatible LightScribe.  LightScribe identifies a disc very carefully. I took it for granted that LightScribe, a HP inovation, would normally be on the HP desktop computer.  It seems that it was a mistake.  I want to confirm the presence or absence of LightScribe in 220 Omni.  For now, I burned my recovery on the 220 LightScribe disks and created the label on the a1310n.  It is a strange situation.  Thank you.

    Hello

ImgBurn should indicate if the drive is capable of Lightscribe. Maybe you weren't looking in the right screen.

  • Problems of restoration of multiple catalogs

I have a new computer with Windows 8.1. I use Elements 9. I have 5 catalogs, each containing about 150 GB. Backups of these catalogues are all on an external hard drive. I've restored 2 catalogues to date. The first catalogue restored very well, when I restored the 2nd catalog, all the thumbnails load correctly, but when I click on the first catalogue, he said that no files are. I used the Browse button and managed to find and load the first catalogue. But then when I tried to go back to the 2nd catalog, I had navigate to a separate location to find this one. Somehow, I think that catalogues restored in 2 different folders. That they are listed in the catalog as a Manager in a custom location.

Also, all my files on my hard drive, but instead of loading all the files together, the first catalogue records are in a section, there is one less than that I have to open to view the folders of the catalogue of the second.

How can I get catalogs back in the same location, and how do I get the files on my disk hard so that I can see them without having to open the 2 different folders?

    Help!

The restore process allows you to choose to restore to the same location or a "custom" location If you restore on a computer or another drive, it is necessarily a "custom" location

Why? because the data in the catalogue identifies the disc by its letter AND its serial number. A new drive is considered to be different, so that the location of your media files in the database is no longer valid. Your files would be considered 'missing' or 'disconnected' If you chose to restore to the "same" location Thus, the restoration must be in a "custom" directory This process allows the database was updated with the new location of the media files.

In catering to the localization process "custom", the catalog folder itself is also in the "custom location" instead of the default location of the catalog (catalogue available to all users).

If you are restoring multiple catalogs, you have to choose the various records of masters for the "custom" location Then, media files and the catalog for each restoration folder are under their own master file.

If you want to restore your media files for the different catalogues under the same master file, you will have problems like what you have experienced. My advice would be:

    -the first catalogue of restoration

-Use Catalog Manager with the catalogue 'move' option to move the first catalogue 'catalogs accessible to all users' place 'custom '.

-restore the second catalog in the same master folder.

    -move the catalog as above

    - and so on for each catalog.

Furthermore, your experience shows why it is highly recommended to keep that one catalog.

  • Portege A200 - cannot boot from the recovery disc

Hi, I have a Portege A200 and an original unused Toshiba Recovery CD.

When I go to recover, the DVD drive just turns and turns and nothing happens. I have tried different methods of booting with the disk to like, by pressing the C key, select boot from CD/DVD or just turn it on with the DVD in the drive. Same problem, the disc turns right away.

I also checked the drivers TOshiba download page and let down when I found out that there are several drivers for the same thing, like the 3 drivers LAN! Which should I use? Also, I can confirm that the CD/DVD drive works fine because I already loaded windows XP, no problem.

    Any suggestion is appreciated.

    Kieran99.

    Hey Kieran99,

I also think that s is not a problem of the CD/DVD drive. If it turns over and over again once he recognizes a disc but it can t be read correctly.

Regarding your question about drivers I think that it of fairly easy. I can recommend the vendor and device ID in Device Manager. With these identification numbers, you can search on this website http://www.pcidatabase.com/ to determine the LAN controller. All that s! :)

In addition, you can check the ID s in Device Manager, if you click the LAN card properties > Details > PCI\VEN_xxxx & DEV_xxxx

  • Satellite L500 - BSOD Identification of the Vista operating system

    Hello

I have the Satellite L500 (PSLJ0A-01F013 (experiencing a BSOD (Stop: 0X000C1F5) what googling has identified as being a file corrupted on HARD drive.)) Unfortunately, the difficulty MS must be applied before the corruption. I tried many options, I can not force a recovery by using the 0 key to the power upward and virtually abandoned. I intend to install a new HARD drive and load it Vista again. My main question is, how to identify if the licensing system is 64-bit or 32-bit? The certificate of authenticity only identifies it as Home Premium OEMAct.

If I reinstall Vista, is there a way to create a Toshiba Recovery disk as soon as I got the laptop works to my satisfaction, that is to say with all the drivers and additional software loaded?

    Thanks in advance

    > If I reinstall Vista, is there a way to create a Toshiba Recovery disk as soon as I got the laptop works to my satisfaction, that is to say with all the drivers and additional software loaded?
If you install the clean version of Vista, you will not be able to create the Toshiba recovery disc.

Only when the Toshiba recovery image is installed on your laptop, you can create this disk.

What you can do now is to install Vista clean with all the necessary drivers, tools and utilities and some third party application to create the recovery image. Many people here have reported that the right application for the creation of recovery image is Acronis.

You can also try to restore disc original order of Toshiba.

  • Restore Vista after reformatting (without installation disc)

I think I read every post on this subject and none seem to solve my problem.  I bought a PC with Vista 64 bit Ultimate and Enterprise Office 2007 eBay.  The two are allowed and I product identification number and keys for both.  NOR is come with the original software disks, but are a valid copy and I can update online.  The PC is not a "manufacturer" brand, but rather a white box PC.

BUT... the Vista is an OEM version and I have no idea who apply for re - install the software, since there is no disc.  There is also no tag or sticker on your box with any OEM identification.

AND... As I have not either the original disks of Office 2007, I don't know how to reinstall the SAME IF I can find a way to re - install the Vista.  I tried to order a copy of Microsoft's online backup and the process does not recognize my product key.   But the version IS known for the automatic software updates from Microsoft.

I need to reformat my drive, re - install Vista Ultimate and (Let's hope) keep or re-install Office 2007.   I have a Vista Home Premium 64-bit disk I bought directly from Microsoft that I use from another PC I have.

Double-click the icon of the disk on the desktop. I hope that you have installed an application that can read the content for you.

If you don't see the icon of the disk on the desktop, open the Finder, then go to the Finder menu bar and click Finder > Preferences, and then select the general tab and then make sure: CD, DVD and iPods is selected.
