I can connect to the web page IDRAC, root + password (admin), but each page under system is listed as undefined, and each tab says Web page cannot be found basically no information is available. R610 PowerEdge IDRAC6 ENTERPRISE WITH VFLASH 1 GB SD CARD where should I start to fault find it?

I found the source of the problem, internetexplorer 11. Sleipnir, I installed and everything works.

  • iDRAC communication problems 6

Recently, I tried an upgrade of an old R610 iDRAC6 firmware. Well, everything went wrong. It was done to the place where he was just download the new BIN file before I said to update. It is just hung to 65% for hours until I have to give up. I tried a racadm racreset but he showed:

ERROR: An update is currently underway. Impossible to reset the RAC at this time.

SO I deciede to stop the server, unplug it and then empty the 'flea' in operating power in the power button for 10 seconds. I then plugged it back in and waited a little before turning it back on.

Then, it's really fun when I saw this on the POST:

    The remote access controller initialization...

    iDRAC6 failure of Communication.

The attention! iDRAC6 not responding do not. Reset.

Then it restarts and then it showed:

The attention! iDRAC6 not responding do not. Poer required exceed the power of the power supply.

Change! Continuous start system accepts the risk that the system can turn off without warning.

Strike F1 key to continue, F2 to run the system setup program

I can possibly get into the OS and I try a racadm racreset, and it gives me the same warning as before update and this:

    IMPORTANT NOTE!

FCAC is unable to communicate with the BMC. This condition can occur because of (1) any BMC is present, software components related to IPMI (2) missing or dysfunctional. Features CARS depend on BMC connectivity in order to work properly, and you can see failures as a result.

I tried all the suggested 'fixed' this page, but it is still dead apparently: http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/systems-management/w/wiki/3464.troubleshooting-idrac6-issues

Is there anyway to force a re-flash of the iDRAC or since I can't still connect with him it's a little dead and now I have close F1 to start my server in the future?

  • How can I fix my "iDRAC is not ready' problems?

We have a PowerEdge R420 running a server VMware ESXi 5.1 in RAID mode.

We had a power failure which resulted in obtaining R420 one ' SWC0700: iDRAC is not ready "error.  Our version of setting iDRAC is 1.30.30.27.  I found the report on the iDRAC reset and update the firmware of the iDRAC with this version and error state.  Following suggestions to disconnect power cables, USB cables and then keeping the power button for 15 seconds until not clearly the problem.  Boots following this process had the same error of SWC0700.

I created an OSMA7.1 DVD boot and I tried to install, a USB drive, different versions of newer than 1.30 iDRAC, but every time that the system has reported/proc/ipmi/0 /: file not found (or something similar that I'm going on memory here).

I needed the system upward, so I pressed F1 to continue to run.  The system seems well except that the fans turn at high speed.

I saw another post on the button of the iDRAC for 15 seconds to reset the iDRAC, and I tried with the system in place and is functioning normally.  This did nothing for the speed of the fan, so I guess it has no effect on iDRAC.

I installed the COnsole of Administration Dell, on the ESXi virtual machine in the hope of launching an upgrade of firmware iDRAC of this virtual machine, but I couldn't connect to vCenter, which is probably because I don't have a VCenter server, only two servers ESXi 5.1 - I think I misread the DELL site thought this could work somehow for me.

Now, I think the performance of the ISO bootable, I found on this Web page: www.dell.com/.../SLN296511
My fear is that something can go wrong, and I'm losing my server installation.

If I put my confidence in the ISO bootable update?  Should I call Dell support - I am about 4 months out of warranty repair technician on-site - and plan to replace my motherboard as I read in other posts on this forum?  The motherboard can be replaced without altering my ESXi installation?

I'm worried that runs the server with a "iDRAC is not ready" error will burn the server, or do anything else that will ruin the server.  Should I still worry about this?

Thanks for the advice and suggestions in advance.

It sounds like the replacement of parts is necessary. There is not a way to export the configuration of the BIOS. The fee for a replacement of tech is usually $299 for servers, plus the cost of the system board. I'm not sure what would be an extension of one year on the guarantee.

  • iDRAC on Dell R610 problem

    Hello

I just got a new Dell R610 and I tried to configure the iDRAC on her card. I have it configured on interfaces of multiple T300 Dell and the ILO on the different models of HP servers successfully. But for some reason, I'm going to have serious problems with it.

I think he got an iDRAC Express card as there is no extra ethernet port on the server, just the standard 4 integrated NETWORK interface the iDRAC BIOS are version 1.70 I understand is the last.

In the screen configuration (Ctrl + E) iDRAC, iDRAC and IPMI over LAN are enabled. Selection of NIC is set to shared so for active LOM, it reports 'No. Active LOM'. VLANs are disabled, iDRAC Express stand them? -Once it works I would like to enable it if possible.

Only NIC1 (eth0) is connected to the switch. I tried configuring it with DHCP, but he never does an address even if the operating system gets a.

To remove the switch / VLAN even tried to connect NIC1 directly on an other server tcpdump and running with iDRAC configured with a static IP (the default value of 192.168.0.120). Did not get a thing of it. I could see the arp requests going out but not responses to iDRAC.

So, how do you get the iDRAC to work?

    Thank you.

Today technician Dell replaced our motherboard and this fixed a problem with the DRAC.

New motherboard uses older versions of BIOS and DRAC BIOS main:

principal: was 3.0.0, now for 2.0.11
    DRAC: was 1.70.21, now 1.41.13

DRAC works now, and, Yes, she has the web interface.

PS unfortunately, but this will not be fixed another issue we have with H200 controller or it's linux driver mpt2sas: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/777441 (ClxAdmin, if you use Linux on that server, what distribution of linux/version you are using?)

I'm having a strange problem with iDRAC on PowerEdge R720s 2. This is my first time using iDRAC. I've recently updated all the firmware and the LC and iDRAC on machines using the updated platform DVD. When I connect to iDRAC on one of the machines using Chrome or IE, I get a good web page. When I connect using Firefox, I get a bad page that has different options, different logo of Dell, and some functions do not work. I don't know why the appearance of the page would be different between different browsers. I wonder if anyone has seen elsewhere or he knows what can happen. I have attached partial screenshots of two different pages that I get. Thank you!

  • Problems updating Firmware 7 IDRAC

Hi, I had problems with my controller IDRAC PowerEdge T320. It seems to be a known issue, introduced with Firmware version 1.50.50, which is delivered with my machine. Basically, the device signals that all user sessions are used. (RAC0218). I am running Windows 2008 Server R2. To resolve this problem, I find the IDRAC firmware update version for my system. 1.57.57 downloaded the windows EXE file and it ran. The release notes say that a reboot is not necessary. At the end of installation, I got a message in a dialog box. "" Device iDRAC7, Application: iDRAC7 could not access Virtual USB Device "and then the following message in the upgrade of the firmware Installer information window" "" This message can be ignored"with many things on the R2 IPMI driver. My problem is that the Dell OpenManage Server Administrator noted the old firmware version number. I reset the iDRAC from the C: prompt to soft help from "racadm racreset" who have reported success. It made no difference. I emptied my cache of browsers as well. Any ideas how can I know if my firmware has actually been upgraded?

When I googled the error message my own post came first on the list!  So I thought that I had better do a update.  After finally move to try to solve this problem (again), I opened a case of pension with DELL.

There is now another more recent version if the firmware of the iDRAC. 1.66.65

I downloaded and installed, but it failed with the same error on "Failed device to access virtual USB".

The nice guy of support counted Dell that it is due to an incompatible BIOS version.  I currently have 2.0.22 and the latest version is the 2.3.3.  Then I spoke for her.

I have successfully installed the BIOS update, requiring a reboot.  I then had another go to the update of the firmware to iDRAC to 1.66.65 and this time it worked WHOO HOO!

Now wait us and see if real problems connection problems are solved.

    I'm quietly confident.

    Hope this helps someone else

  • M1000e with M610 Blade. iDRAC6 problems with the upgrade of the firmware 3.50 (Build 4) - "image downloaded missed the check" error

I have the blade that is a M610. its current 3.30 iDRAC6 Firmware version (Build 17), his version of BIOS is 6.0.7. I am trying to upgrade the firmware to 3.50 iDRAC (Build 4). I am upradging by the MCC on the M1000e chassis. I choose the slot of in that the blade is and then start the IDRAC GUI. I choose firmware update and select the firming.imc file that I used successfully on some other M610 blades. After about 30 seconds, he returned with the following error.

The uploaded image has no verification

    Why?

I came across the same problem (with a refurb M610, iDRAC firmware has been 2.20).

I tried to upgrade the iDRAC6 firmware to 3.60 via the web interface of iDRAC6 and it was a no go.

I tried several browsers (chrome and firefox) and same problem each time.
I tried to go to firmware (as shown in the accompanying note) 2.31 instead of 3.60 and same question every time.

I finally managed to update the firmware of the iDRAC6 by upgrading the web interface M1000e and not in the iDRAC6 web interface.

It worked the first time (using Chrome).

  • Update firmware of the iDRAC for M600 with image

I need to update the firmware of the card server iDRAC to 1.65 and the means to do it now are updates that require you to run on the host computer, operating system must be windows or Linux. I have two servers that have no operating system on them so I can't update this way and it's silly for me to install or run an operating system on each of these just to install an update of firmware for the DRAC. I have also four other machines where the windows exe is not update the map because while it starts the update that he do not say the map isn't here even if before it was said to go ahead with the update, he identified the card and its firmware version.

I'm referring to this thread already http://en.community.dell.com/techcenter/blades/f/4436/t/19472174.aspx and the person who asked where they could get the image never replied and I could really use the image to solve my problems.

    Thank you for your help.

    Thank you

There is a way you can get the image of windows exe file. Follow step to get the file from the image below and try to update through GUI

    1. Rename the Windows .exe to .zip file
    2. Extract the .zip file to a folder
    3. Download the image file the payload of the extracted file folder iDRAC (filename: firmimg.imc)
  • M600 iDRAC firmware update

    All,

Right now I'm trying to update the firmware of the iDRAC interface 8 via webinterface iDRAC and the CMC interface, unfortunately it does not work. On our M600, we run Xenserver.

DELL Enterprise support I get .exe files to download, but then I get an error while the firmware update that the image is not properly updated the firmware.

My simple question is where can I find/download the correct file to update the firmware of the iDRAC via Web interface.

I hope to soon get a response.

    Thanks in advance!

    All,

Thanks for your help. Problem is solved. the file is needed was not more on the support Web site, but because the Windows file was available, this file was available from the payloud folder.

  • IDrac initializing...

    Hello

We have a problem with our server Dell R320. It shows "Initializing.. iDrac" when starts and after a while fans run at full speed and the restart of the server itself. This is, this server has installed No iDrac . I've been waiting for x minutes until the server starts and then I have updated all the firmwares via DVD, but no change. I also tried to clear the NVRAM, power off the server by removing the power cord, press the power button for 15 seconds, power on the new server, no luck.

You have all the tips have to I do? Server has no guarantee.

  • Reset the Web GUI on the M600 iDRAC

    Hello

I have problems of access to the iDRAC web gui on a couple of blades M600 (needed to get the console and re - install the operating system).

I read on Google that racadm racreset running can solve the problem, but this seems to be only available on of m610?

When I ssh into the M600 blade I gives me a prompt SMASH CLP Console (v1.08) and can not find everything related to actually reset the interface itself idrac.

Is it still possible on a M600?  Otherwise, how can we reset the iDRAC interface?  It does not fundamentally on port 80 - unlike our other blades, also M600s.

Thank you very much in advance for any pointers or direction.

    Thank you

    SoC

    Rob,

An option to rest iDRAC on M600 is with the CMC. You can connect to the CMC and perform iDRAC reset page "Overview-> troubleshooting-> Reset chassis components. Select iDRAC reset for the corresponding housing option. You can also do CMC Racadm. Run "racadm racreset m - Server -" of SSH or using remote racadm and CMC IP.

What iDRAC firmware you have on M600? 1.65 is the last FW for iDRAC M600. If you do not have this FW on iDRAC can you update and check the same. You can download the same from
