  It will come down to RAID installed on the servers. With the H710 (T620) and H730 (T630), then YES the Raid 6 and 60 are supported, in the State with the H330 (T630).

  Yet, none of the controllers S (S110 (T620) or the S130 (T630)) will support Raid 6 or 60, nor will the H310.

  Could you confirm the raid controller is installed, if any?

  I don't think that you can pass directly from 2003 to 2012 R2, but R2 2012 is fully supported on the 2900, so there should be no problem running it on there. I strongly suggest you update the system firmware (BIOS, GER/BMC, PERC (first pilot)) before moving on to 2012 R2.

  I bought a 2950 on Ebay the month last but never had the intention on the installation of a Windows operating system, but I downloaded the ISO of DVD here file and installed without any problem they send you a key to save the operating system.   I searched through the forums here to find more information on how to install Ubuntu Server on a T110II of edge Poer, but did not find anything of use at the moment. Any ideas would be appreciated with gratitude and once I found a way to install Ubuntu on the Dell Server I'll post a blog with full instructions on how to do to help others to avoid experiencing this MESS.

  BTW, the Power Edge T110II has been certified for use with Ubuntu.  See HERE! But no documentation of actual for this as of yet by Dell. :-(

  Hi all

  I am trying to install Windows Server 2012 on a Power Edge 2970.  I use the Dell Windows OS track install Support Pack Dell system Build Update Utility but then when I get to the media Server 2012 install it loads but then bird missing a driver error.  Installation cannot continue.

  Can someone please provide suggestions or ideas?  I have a Server 2008 R2 running on Dell Power Edge 2970 system.

  SBUU what version do you use?  You should use GDPS (systems management tools and Documentation) 7.2 or later version, not SBUU.  Have you tried to install directly from the Windows support?  What is the EXACT message that you receive?  Note that the eccentric the 2970 chipset will probably require allows you to load the driver during installation if you are using a CD/DVD drive.  Installation of USB will avoid this scenario.

  Hello, I received recently 2 servers working on an installation an operating system however both these server with the same problem where you set the boot device in the bios to cd/dvd drive and reboot and insert a windows install cd in the drive, but the server will not start on that drive and continues to boot hard disk operating system.

  However, if you insert a live cd as erd control for example server start at and run the cd I had the same problem on the power edge 2850 but I could boot from a usb flash key, but this is not possible on 2550 and 2650 as a usb flash device does not appear in the bios.

  A laptop IDE drive should work, but 2003 should be in CD format.  There are however a few books press, however, use DVD format.

  No go.  The 2650 supports the 32-bit processors only; 2008 x 86 is the latest Windows Server OS you can install on the 2650.
