  I always post with BC, so load on the ftp host is new to me, so please forgive my rookie post here.

  
  I designed a website for a local group, they have an existing website that is hosted by the fast host.

  The new site (that I put together using Muse) a site architecture, to their current very different.

  The client provided me with the ftp software settings: hostname, username, password. But nothing for the details of the folder or web directory or other details.

  I called FastHost, a double check what to add in the field FOLDER when downloading, they told me to leave the FILE empty. But it technical knowledge was sketchy at best, I don't think they were particularly happy to discuss the details with me as I am not an account holder.

  Clearly, it did not work, the old original site is still present, but now with my site as live: see below

  Are they supposed to have deleted the old site first?

  Or should I have specified a specific folder (httpdocs, public_html, for example) when the download of FTP and if yes, how do I get this setting? Fast home were not particularly to come, and there is no help file on their Web site, unless you have an account.

  Hi Penny,

  As you mentioned, it seems that the files for the current Web site are still hosted on the server. I reach out to your client and ask them to remove their existing site. FastHost should be able to help your client with it.

  If they accidentally remove all Muse files on the server, I advise to use FTP client internal of Muse to re - upload your site using the credentials that they have you provided.

  To host the site on your server, you can use the download via ftp function under the menu files option in Muse.

  Annotates in FTP and then upload the site on your server, another way would be to export as html and then upload the files to the root of the server.

  Yes, you can use the exciting field when you publish the site.

  But if the field is associated with any site then first you need to remove the domain from the domain of the site settings and add it to your published site.

  -Create Muse Site

  -Publish the site

  -Launch the Admin site

  -Add the domain

  -Delegate the yahoo domain, so that it should point to the Adobe servers.

  The instructions above works if you publish the Business Catalyst site

  If you have externally hosted site with a domain name, then can simply upload the site to the root.

  Unfortunately, Firefox doesn't support all the web apps like spiders and GoDaddy.
  You can try to download the User Agent Switcher addon and forcing the GoDaddy site to act as if it's on Internet Explorer, but this is not guaranteed.

• I was looking for where firefox downloads files from the web. Everything I can find is the download list window that has only a clear"" button.

  Hi Hermann!

  Rebranding basically doesn't really affect your account much.  It is simply the whitelabeled system is more SEO BC in the system URL and images (logo, email system, etc.)

  • Can I still access my website? Yes, add you add the domain for your site and redelegate that you can access using the new domain name or the URL system prior.
  • Can I send and receive emails? Yes, it's where you choose when you add your domain on the site.  You will be presented with options for your e-mail settings (with BC or remain outside).  Choose accordingly and note BC has no email migration so eager to keep all your existing emails you will need back-up or continue to use the external email provider.
  • What happens to my emails always 'hosted' to my 'old' provider´s server? Y is there a risk of losing one of my emails and how do I move them to BC´s platform?  When you add your domain to your partner site name choose this service.  But let the e-mail "external supplier" settings, assuming you want to keep the emails with the external mail host. So basically you can Rebrand everything by having the external email provider.
  • What happens to the Web space on my 'old' provider´s, where my current site is still hosted server? Is there a risk to lose the 'normal' access to my site and how I actually move the site of BC? When you are ready, you will need to add your domain to the site partner and redelegate most in British Colombia.  Don't forget to e-mail if still wanting to remain external select "external supplier" for the e-mail settings.  Then to reach out to our partners a complete support for rebranding.
